Warm Outfits for Hybrid Work

Warm Outfits for Hybrid Work

It looks like hybrid work environments are here to stay. (Believe us, we’re not complaining.) There’s something nice about getting to spend a little more time at home. It’s equally as nice as getting some time away from the nest to collaborate with colleagues and catch up with work friends. Plus, slipping into your favorite boots and blazer for a day at the office just has that special je ne sais quoi.

When you add pieces to your wardrobe that works just as well at home as they do on-site, you’re building a closet that will last you many years to come. The best way to think about hybrid outfits is to keep in mind the power of layering. Celebrate the colder months by cozying up to a selection of versatile outfits. Read on for some fashionable looks that can transition from your home office to the company office that’ll even keep you warm during the commute.

Shawl Wrap and Leggings

A shawl wrap is your closet’s best-kept secret: it can be professional or casual, keeps you warm, and, in the end, it’s just a blanket you get to wrap around you and call it fashion. Check out the dark flint heather wrap with a decorative fringe and belt to cinch the waist. It's like having two outfits in one with a patterned long sleeve underneath or a trendy mock neck in a delicate print.

When you head out to commute to the office, throwing the wrap on makes a more polished look, like wearing a blazer but without the stiffness. Pairing the wrap with a pair of leggings in a work-friendly color like navy or black keeps your comfort level steady. You could even go for the fleece-lined pair to keep that blanket vibe going from head to toe.

Tunic Sweater and High Rise Jeans

In the same family as the wrap shawl is the women’s tunic sweater. It provides coverage and warmth and is part of this season’s sweater trend. One of our favorite styles is the cotton blend split neck. The waffle weave gives it a great texture that’s as cozy as it is stylish. Our navy blue founder’s stripe is especially elegant. This look transitions great to the office because it’s cozy and colorful but also structured and ready for the week’s big conference call.

Pair this sweater in any of our other colors--red, blackberry, or gray--with a classic pair of dark wash high-rise jeans. Keep the pants neutral and let the tunic sweater steal the show.

Cashmere on Cashmere

One of the softest, most luxurious fabrics is available in so many options. Turtlenecks, cardigans, crewnecks, hats, gloves, the list goes on. One of our favorites for a hybrid work wardrobe is the cocoon cashmere in Donegal white or the neutral color block. A lightweight turtleneck underneath in a coordinating color and then some patterned jacquard or houndstooth pants keep this look work-ready. The cocoon hem keeps the look comfortable, and the medium-weight knit keeps it warm.

Why stop at just the sweater? As you head out the door to transition this look to the workplace, keep it going with our cashmere-lined EZ touch gloves in a classic cognac or black. Finish it off with one of our trademark CashTouch printed scarves. The royal cobalt plaid or emerald gulf gingham will complement an outfit with neutral undertones.

Oversized Wool Sweater and Corduroys

Corduroy pants always make their way back into our closets come fall and winter. A hybrid work outfit is made all the more possible by our fabulous corduroy leggings. They’ve got the warmth of corduroy and the vibe of that classic cold-weather pant but in a high rise and super moveable fabric that brings the comfort of leggings into the workplace.

The forest moss leggings look great with an oversized women’s wool sweater like the cable mock neck in the classic gray or vicuna heather. The drop shoulder of this sweater is a subtle way to say “hello comfy,” and the cable knit keeps it polished. Perfect for hybrid outfit goals. Finish the look off with some cognac-colored booties and a crossbody briefcase to keep it stylish and practical.

Warmth is for home and work. A hybrid outfit that both keeps you warm and keeps you stylish is easier than you might think. Remember to layer and be sure to take that extra shawl or cardigan in the car with you when you head into the office. A mock or turtleneck keeps you from getting chilled and makes for an equally put-together look for office meetings. Don’t forget to grab your best Sherpa-lined coat when you head out the door, too. These looks are made complete by a perfectly patterned scarf that ties the colors and fabrics together.
