Women's Harbor Trench Coat
I loved this jacket from the moment I searched raincoats and saw the lovely green. I am 5'3", 120 lbs. and ordered a petite small. While I waited for it to be delivered, I got nervous reading the other reviews that said it fit large and thought maybe I should have ordered it in petite XS. The jacket has arrived and I am happy to report that I consider the small a perfect fit for my frame.

Odd Shape, HUGE
This trench is bell shaped. It is unflattering, as opposed to feminine. It is also HUGE. I am 5'10", of a medium build (a size 8), and always wear a medium (although, if anything were sized properly, I should probably wear a large). The medium in this trench is enormous, were I to reorder, I would need a small, which is absurd.

a good coat
I am 5'11'', 155 lb, bust measurement 38 in, and size S Tall fits me, could be even slightly smaller. That just goes to show that at Land's End one should always get a smaller size. The finish of the coat looks more like nylon than cotton. But cinched at the waist it looks good and I would recommend it to someone who wants something low key, shower resistant for spring.

This trench coat is a classic look in black. And, the quality is great. However, it runs big, and I will be giving it to a friend as I don't have time to return it before the occasion.

Great Staple For My Wardrobe
I find that Lands' End coats can vary a lot, even within the exact same size so I always order a couple of them to make sure I'm getting the best fit and then return the extras. I'm plus sized and really curvy but like to look sharp for work. When I put this trench coat on, I was in love! The green is exactly as shown in the picture and it looks so rich with gold jewelry and a popped collar. This coat looks great both tied-up and with the tie just cinched across the back. The buttons are in the right place, the collar is the correct scale and the sleeves were the perfect length. I'm so impressed, I may wait for a sale and order another one!

Clean Classic Keeper
Although I really like the classic, clean lines of this trench, I'm only giving it an average rating because I find the workmanship and fabric quality ( stitching, lining, .... ) lacking. I'm 5'6", around 155 lbs. busty and broad -shouldered. I nornally take a 12 on top and an 8 on the bottom in LE. I bought a 12 in the tan and found the fit a bit snug around the bust, but otherwise ok. I think it's quite slimming. As many have mentioned, the belt is too long to be worn conventionally buckled and is likely meant to be tied. It's a keeper.

I had been looking for a trench coat when I saw this one in the catalog. This is perfect and I love it. I ordered the green and wore it for the first time last week and got several complements. It is not super warm, but for moderate temps, rainy days it's great. I highly recommend this coat.

I love the colour (malachite). My only issue is the belt. It was advertised as being able to wear looped or tied. The belt is so long, I can only wear it tied. I ordered the jacket in a 2X. When I tried to use the proper loops, the end reached all the way around to my back. Still love it.

A cute, affordable, petite trench that fits!
I have two nylon rain trenches with hoods that I wear when it's really rainy, but have been in the market for a dressier, more stylish trench for a few seasons. Until now, I hadn?t found anything that worked for me. I?m petite, and have purchased enough coats to know that if they?re not petite, they?re not going to fit properly. I have an hourglass figure (5?3?, 120 lbs, 32A-28-38) and pretty much always wear a petite XS from Lands? End. I ordered this in petite XS, and it fits well. The sleeves aren?t too long, the belt sits at my natural waist (I?m short waisted), the coat isn?t too wide in the bust, and it hits 3? to 4? above the knee.
The coat is a really lovely shade of green, and I like that it?s single breasted, with a simple collar. I?m not a huge fan of the traditional double breasted trench - they always seem to add too much bulk to my petite frame. I?m also not a big fan of tan and beige trenches. I?m a pale brunette and was looking for green, cobalt blue, or a bluish red. A coat wasn?t really in my budget, but I saw this in the catalog, had a 30% off code, and couldn?t pass it up. Glad I ordered, I love it, and can?t wait to wear it as soon as the weather warms up a bit!
As far as the belt goes, there are always reviewers who seem confused by these long trench coat belts. As far as I know, these trenches really aren?t meant to be belted traditionally. I always wear the belt in some sort of looped knot, similar to the one shown on the model. I doubt I'm allowed to reference other websites here, but there?s a great belt/knot trench video tutorial on a petite fashion blog I sometimes read. If you?re not sure how to tie such a knot, you might do a search for that video. Because this is single breasted, I think it would also look cute worn open, with the belt tied in a bow or knot in back, to give it some shape.
Also, ladies, please don?t forget to remove the temporary ?X? stitch holding the back vent together! Just today I saw two women in trench coats who hadn?t removed the stitch. The coat doesn?t hang right if the stitch is left in, and just looks terrible. In any case, thanks Lands? End, for this cute, affordable petite coat! It's a winner. I?d love to see it next season in cobalt blue, bluish red, and fuchsia. Would also be fun in small scale houndstooth, stripe, dot, and floral prints.

I LOVE this jacket. I needed a new jacket and bought this on a whim thinking that it would never work and I would be forced to return it. I was wrong. It's perfect. The fit is perfect except for the weirdly long belt. I just knot it up. I wore the jacket the other day on a business trip and received numerous compliments.
