Women's 3/4-sleeve Sport Knit Dress
I am not shaped like a model, but like a mom, and this dress made me look like an old gramma. Too shapeless for me, I prefer a more structured dress. Also, I am 5'9" but this dress hit me mid-calf which is not very flattering. Sorry!

Design Details Need to Be Re-thought
My only thumbs up comment is that I appreciate your carrying this and other dresses in TALL. The TALL sizes have been added since this dress first came out, so thanks for the extra consideration. The problem is that you have designed all your dresses with waists (meaning the top of the garment is sewn to the skirt section in 2 separate pieces joined at the waist) - and all of the waists are TOO HIGH, be they ponte dresses, interlock dresses, whatever. I thought that by getting it in TALL the top section would be longer and the waist lower. NOT SO - it rests 1.5 inches above my waist and I have to cover it with a thick belt. There is no reason why this dress could not be designed without a separate top/skirt...it could be a continuous piece shoulder to hem (ditto for some of your ponte styles.) You could still include the self belt, and then the customer could find her own waist and place the belt or a substitute in the proper place. The cut of the garment is also a little off and therefore doesn't drape fluidly, and the facing under the neckline curls up in the wash and has to be pressed flat. The boatneck/ballet neck style could use a little tweaking...maybe a U or modest V neck would be more flattering and not dip so low in the back of the neck. Other than that, 3 boats!

Good style for me, but a bit too high-waisted.
I like this dress, but can't quite love it. Disappointment stems from the thin--albeit my favorite all-cotton--fabric and the high-waisted fit. I'm over 60 and heavier than I'd like to be, so the thin fabric doesn't really work well for me. The higher waistline of the dress didn't work with my waistline, either. In the end, I kept the dress but will need a wide belt to cover my waistline and the waistline of the dress. The dress was ordered for a specific event. I did wear a Land's End dress to the event, but it was one I've owned for several years--similar style, but heavier cotton knit and a waistline that fits. The old dress needed freshening--I dyed it--but all was well.
Land's End: Please bring back the heavier cotton knit fabrics. You have been one of my best go-to clothiers for decades, through (ahem) thick and thin, while posted overseas and in the US. I appreciate your classic styling, but want you to make your clothes with more classic fabrics.

This Grandmother was having such a hard time finding a comfortable cotton dress/skirt since losing her once small waist line plus finding a dress with a good length for her age. The 3/4 sleeve length is fun. This is comfortable stretchy cotton easy to get into and out of. I am looking forward to wearing them cause I am really sick of wearing pants. I wish for a few older models (women) For LE wearing more colors and styles of cotton dresses and skirts for women over 50 for everyday use for a change please. Does it have a functional button placket at one shoulder as described? If you could make that more clear maybe I could find it, otherwise, I believe the dresses I received do not have them.

was not like it is pictured
I really wanted to like this dress. I ordered it for an upcoming formal talk that I have to give. But unfortunately, I found the color to be rather dull. It almost looked as if it had been lying in storage for some time. I will be returning it.
I think it is good for everyday wear to work. The material is not flimsy and would be good for spring fall and winter too.

Dress well constructed. I would have preferred a little heavier fabric.
Attractive dress. The fit is exactly right. Color is rich. I would have preferred a slightly heavier fabric to indicate elegance.

L.O.V.E. this dress!
I got this dress in a black size medium i'm 5'7" 143lbs and its wonderful! you can dress up or down and the 100% cotton is so soft and comfortable. I love it! I was going to complain that they should have in more colors and now I SEE they have more colors! yeah love this dress and highly recommend I'll get a ton of mileage out of this dress

Very nice dress
It is definitely not easy to fit me. I do best with A-lines and high waistlines, since my shape below is more like a horse with saddle bags. :) Up top all normal. So this dress works for me. At this age I am a little nervous about the material, but it's not too clingy. Heavier so it sits nicely. And below the knee is what I need since I'm not 20 or 30 or even 40 and sassy anymore. And not easy to find at 5'8" strangely enough. Luckily LE ahs started putting in the length in inches.
Thanks to the other reviewer who resolved the neck problem. Not something one expects from Lands End. But it is a nice all-around dress.

Nice quality, the cut is a bit odd, though
I like the dress, it feels comfy and is o.k. to wear in the office.
The belt is weird though and the elasticated waist disturbs the elegancy of the dress.
Nevertheless, would like to see more dresses from LE at this length, we don't all have "presentable" legs!!!
