How to return your Lands' End purchase and other frequently asked questions.

At Lands' End, our priority is to make returns as easy as possible for you. That means if for any reason you're not satisfied with an item, simply return it to us. If you have questions that aren’t covered in this article, is an excellent resource, so make sure to read our Lands’ End Returns page for more information. However, there is a certain level of comfort found in speaking directly to a person when you need a solution (and we get that). You can call 1-800-963-4816 any time, day or night.

How do I make a return or exchange?

To make your return or exchange process as smooth as possible, we recommend visiting our Returns Guided Help section for information on how to proceed.

Once we receive your return, we'll process a credit for the item. If you'd like to reorder the same item in a different size or color, just give us a call at 1-800-963-4816 and one of our Customer Care Specialists will be happy to assist you. Plus, we'll provide Free Standard Shipping on your new order.

Please Note: $6.95 will be deducted from the refund credit for the use of the Easy Return Label. If you opt for a merchandise credit refund, return postage is waived for your return.

Does Lands’ End have free shipping?

You bet we do! A $99 total is all it takes to earn free shipping. Free shipping is also available when you reorder a replacement item (same item, alternate size or color) during your return process. You can call 1-800-963-4816 to place your reorder with one of our Customer Care Specialists and have the shipping fee waived. If you’d prefer to use fax, simply send your completed reorder request to 1-800-332-0103.

How do I return to Lands' End in the US?

For this, you have a few options. You can send your return back to us, then place a new order online or over the phone.  If returning, but not reordering, fill out the Return Form on the back of the packing list in the order (be sure to choose your preferred refund method!) and affix the Easy Return shipping label (found on the front side of your packing slip) to your package. Drop the package off at any post office, with your local mail carrier,  or USPS collection box.

If you are returning a gift, indicate that the item is a gift. Include the purchaser’s information on the back of the packing list to ensure your return is processed as smoothly as possible.

Prefer to send the package with the carrier of your choice (you pay the postage yourself)?  Send your return to Lands’ End Returns, 2 Lands’ End Lane Dodgeville, WI 53595 USA. 

If face to face is more your style, you can return your item to any Lands’ End store.

Have your packing slip and receipt been misplaced? Not to worry. As long as you have a Personal Shopping Account, you can find the information you need online under Order History or give our Customer Care Specialists a call at 1-800-963-4816 for assistance.

Return Policy

Eligible returns received within 90 days of purchase will be issued to the original form of payment when available.  Refunds to the form of original payment will be credited less the return postage fee on our return label (currently $6.95) unless merchandise credit refund is selected on the back of the return form.  Feel free to send as many items back in the return as you need to and you are welcome to combine multiple return orders together.  Eligible returns received beyond 90 days from the date of purchase or without a Lands’ End proof of purchase will be issued a Lands’ End Merchandise Credit.

Refunds will be issued for the original purchase price only when accompanied by a Lands’ End proof of purchase. If neither the customer nor Lands’ End can locate this documentation, the refund will be issued at the value determined by Lands’ End.

School Uniform items without a logo follow the return policy guidelines above. School Uniform items with a logo may be returned within 90 days of purchase for a Merchandise Credit. No returns will be accepted after 90 days.

Personalized items, including, but not limited to, items with a monogram or embroidery, and items marked final sale may not be returned to Lands’ End and are expressly excluded by this Return Policy.

Non-Lands’ End branded products may be returned for up to 90 days. Refund will be in the original form of payment (again less the postage unless opting for Lands' End merchandise credit). No returns will be accepted after 90 days.

All returns are final. Items sent to Lands’ End outside of the terms of this Return Policy are not subject to refund and will not be returned to sender.

How do I return to Lands' End in Canada?

If you’re not satisfied with any item, simply return it to us for an exchange or refund of its purchase price.  Fill out your Return Form. Affix the included Canada Post shipping label to your package (this will be enclosed separately from the packing list in the package). Send the package with your mail carrier or drop it off at any Canada Post location.

What if an item goes on sale after I’ve placed my order?

If a Lands’ End branded item you purchased from or a Lands’ End catalog goes on sale for a lower price within 14 days of your original purchase, a one-time price adjustment may be made for items in stock at the time the refund is processed. “On the Counter” and Holiday Promotions pricing excluded.

Our Refund Team will validate if the order qualifies for a better deal within 3-5 business days once you contact us within the 14 days. If there is a refund due, it is issued to the original form of payment. Please allow the necessary time for your bank to process the credit for refunds on qualifying orders.

Can you return Lands’ End merchandise to Kohls?

If your Lands' End items were purchased from Lands' End directly or from, over the phone, or a Lands' End retail store they are returnable only to the location of purchase.  Anything purchased from, Lands' End store and Lands’ End phone orders CANNOT be returned to Kohl's.
