Youth All Weather Moccasin
I purchased these as uniform school shoes (mid way through the school year) for my twin boys, who are 8. They both found them much more comfortable than the lace up shoes they had been wearing. My one son's shoes are still in good shape after the school year. My other son's pair was thrown away on the last day of school. The heel area inside the shoe was completely worn through, and on one of the shoes, the back seam split a couple months into wearing them. He definitely plays harder at recess than his brother, so I attribute it to that. I have purchased the next size up for this coming school year, so we will try again. They are half the price of the mocs recommended by the school, so I am hoping we will have better luck this time and will not have to go to the other brand.

Love the shoes
Got these for my 2 year old son. They are comfy and easy on/off. He doesn't mind wearing them and so far they are holding up great! I will continue to get them as he gets older!

My 6 year old son loves these shoes.
My 6 year old son has wide feet and these shoes fit him well. They were easy for him to put on by himself and did not wear out quickly. He continues to choose these shoes over other brands that have been purchased for him. Since his feet have grown we have now purchased a third pair of shoes like this for him. These shoes are a good choice for a busy child who likes to play outside.

Very disappointed in these shoes but happy for the return policy!
These Mocs are NOWHERE near the nice shoes they used to be! My daughters received a new pair each for Christmas and wore them to school a few days a week for two months before they fell apart. We didn't wear them outside in the snow, despite the all weather name, so there really is no excuse for such poor quality. Back they go today.

My 9 year old son wore for only a few weeks and the inside lining and insole began coming apart. Sent back for refund.

Good option for women!
I have, and dearly love, a pair of the old style LE women's all weather mocs which I have worn nearly to death. Quite by accident I discovered that they make a good walking shoe on our county (graveled) road. The old style are heavier than the current women's model and styled more like the youth model. After reading reviews for the new women's model I was reluctant to buy a pair. They seem to be more stylish and less practical than the old style. I wear an 8 or 8.5 in women's, so decided to check out the youth model. I'm glad I did! I've got well over 100 miles on them, and they show no signs of wear or breakdown yet. My walks average 3.5 miles on lousy roads, either gravel or stubble or uneven field roads. The thick soles on the mocs handle the gravel and uneven surfaces better than walking/running shoes and are less expensive. I can beat them up and they ask for more. I don't think they will last as long as my old-style women's pair, but they're less money so I'm okay with that. So okay that I've ordered a second pair!
As far as sizing, I tried, with little success, to use the printed foot sizer graphic available online. It's pretty iffy! So I put the youth and women's size charts side by side and compared that way. They don't align perfectly but I opted for a youth 7. It's a trifle big, but socks make up for it. The second pair will be a 6. I'm hoping they're not too small! The shoes are plenty wide so if you have narrow feet I doubt you'd be happy with them. If I lived near a retail outlet I'd obviously go in and try some on, but alas, I live in the boonies.
For utilitarian, tough footwear, these are great and you can't beat the price. Once I get my size nailed down, I can see myself buying these forever. Or for at least as long as I 'go walkies' on a regular basis!

Our 2 boys have to wear all black shoes to school so these fit that requirement. In general, they are a pretty good shoe and fit about normal for the size. They seem to hold up fairly well to the activities of the kids since the shoes are worn almost every school day. They also seem to outlast other shoes we have tried from other retailers.
The fact that we have replaced these with this same type of shoe a couple of times as the kids grow out of them is probably the best indicator that we do like them well enough.
The only down sides are that they do seem to fade sooner than I would expect (maybe it is just the black color that does this) and the front 'toe reinforcement' starts to pull away from the shoe on the top after a while.

Couldn't be happier with these mocs
My 13-year old son is so picky about shoes and he's crazy in love with these.
He's got a wide-ish foot and they fit great.
After wearing his first pair all winter, he finally got them covered in mud so I just ordered a 2nd pair for nice occasions.
Will definitely order them again next winter.

I normally wear a 6 1/2 in a women's shoe, but since this is a boy's shoe I ordered a size 5, and it fits great. It will be a perfect all-weather shoe!

Not wide enough, and shoe only survived 4 months :-( Use a shoe horn for longer life!
The construction has regrettably gone down hill :-(
This shoe is deceptively comfortable and sturdy looking. You would think it would stand up to quite a bit of play (like they used to), but sadly that's not really the case. On the first or second wearing, the glue on toe cap was already loosening. But my daughter liked the shoes, so I kept them. The lack of a usable tab on the back of the shoe makes them tougher to put on than previous styles. This results in my daughter forcibly wiggling her foot into the shoe. She invariably squashes one of the heel collars flat. After a few dozen wearings, she'd fractured the flimsy plastic that supports the back of the shoe. The shards made the shoe so uncomfortable that it became unwearable. They were her favorite shoes and the only ones she could put on herself. So in a nutshell, narrower construction, poor materials, and poor construction. My recommendation for Lands' End, charge more if you must, but revert to the older style of shoe. Including the use of better quality plastics and glue.
Despite my mediocre review, I bought a pair to replace the current shoes. That was desperation, not an endorsement. I guess I'll be looking for a new brand of moccasin. I'd pay more for a better shoe, I really would.
