Women's Year Round Cashmere Balletneck Sweater
Color Not As Shown
I ordered the Chili Pepper. I was expecting a deep garnet red as shown on the website. When it was delivered it turned out to be an orangey-tomato red. I have a true hour glass figure, and I found the sweater to be a little bulky around the waist. However, it is the best quality cashmere that I have found for this price point anywhere, so I am going to reorder in a different color and size.

This is a winner
Very pleased with this. The length, including the sleeves, is just right (I'm 5'4" and ordered L petite). It falls straight but the hem is just slightly fitted, so it's not boxy (on me), and it doesn't cling anywhere. However, if you're an hour-glass, rather than an apple shape, you might want something more fitted.
The ballet neckline is flattering, and the lighter weight good for indoors. That makes it just what I wanted for wearing under a jacket. The ink blue is bright but not harsh. I shall definitely buy more of these.

My new go-to
Ordered this on sale & wish I had ordered 2-3 more. I love the fit - it's a bit roomy but still figure flattering. This is my 3rd LE cashmere sweater & by far my fave. For sizing. I'm a standard 4-6P in other brands, and the P/XS fits great. If this is your first time shopping with LE, the sizes run large.

I Came, I Saw, I Bought Them All
I liked this sweater so well after my first order, and even though they are pricey on my retirement income, I have watched, and been able to order more each time they have gone on sale. I am happy to say, that just today, I received the last two colors to complete my wardrobe. I swear to you that Lands' End cashmere sweaters are simply the best, and I for one would like to see even more colors (purple, lilac, green, yellow, off-white, bright blue, pale blue, pale peach, just to name a few) in this year-round, which I have been wearing for over two months already. Love them.

Just what I wanted!
I was looking to replace (oh, who am I kidding? expand!) my cashmere sweater collection, and this is perfect. I bought a S, my normal size, and it was perfect over a button-down shirt. I wore it with slacks and boots to a casual day at a conference. I could easily wear it with jeans, or dress it up with jewelry with a skirt and/or blazer. The green is a beautiful but bright color and made my whole outfit pop. And with these continuous sales, I am tempted to buy another!

Best Cashmere Sweater from Lands End this fall-- resembles the Canvas styles
I've ordered several LE cashmere sweaters this season. So far, this ballet neck year round sweater is the ONLY one I'm keeping. I'm 5 feet 5 inches, 125 athletic pounds (muscle, baby!), and ordered the size small. It fits perfectly -- drapes nicely, close to body but not skin tight, has some room without being boxy/shapeless. It is the closest thing I can find at Lands End today that resembled their discontinued Canvas line (which I mourn on a regular basis). I find most of the LE current line dowdy and not at all modern, so was thrilled to get this sweater. I work part time as a marketing executive and want to be comfortable and fashionable. I have the grey, and am back today to get the blue and maybe taupe. I've only worn once, over a slim t-shirt and jeans with ballet flats, so I can't comment on wear/washing, but I really love it so far. It was warm without bulk under my winter coat. Much better than the classic cashmere tee or the classic cashmere baby cable sweaters, which I bought and am returning because they were a bit shapeless and in the case of the cable, old looking.

Perfect for my climate
I love these sweaters and am a little embarrassed to admit I now own four! The cashmere is lightweight and very very soft-- perfect almost 12 months out of the year in my central coast California home. I size up because I like a loose "boyfriend sweater" fit in this sweater. Sometimes I wear a tee or shirt underneath, sometimes not. Looks great either way.

I'm super sensitive to wool and associated products. Just too itchy
Not what I expected - color also a bit to bright

Love the Inkblue.
What a lovely sweater. It's so soft. The ballet neck sits well and isn't gaping like some boat necks. It's a flattering alternative to the crew neck. Because the boat neck is smaller, I think that it would be work appropriate. You can change the look with scarves and jewelry but I like the simple look. Fits at the hip definitely not a tunic. The thing that I love is that it's light enough to wear in the early Fall. It's not a "sweater" sweater. Not bulky nor does it have the "furry" look.
I'm wearing it with jeans and dress pants.
The price point is great but with the online sales? It's a steal.
