Sadly, I give a poor review I had such high hopes for these. I loved them...for a month. Then while pushing a stroller uphill, the piece in the back that holds the strap to the shoe snapped. It's just a thin piece of plastic; sadly, the only poorly designed part of an otherwise great shoe. May 7, 2013
Love them! I've worn these sandals every single day for 3 weeks. Wear them in my kayak; fishing off the beach; working in the garden and I plan to wear them trekking and touring around Ireland. They're starting to show some wear on the suede parts but they just look more rugged. I'm a 7-1/2 so I had to buy size 8 and they're a bit wide for my foot but they're adjustable in various places. . Great buy! May 7, 2013
comfy right out of the box I was initially disappointed with these sandals when they arrived. As one viewer mentioned, they had a strong petroleum/rubbery smell that was so bad I even considered sending them back. Am I ever glad I gave them a chance. The smell disappeared overnight and I was able to try them on and wear them for the first hot day we've had all spring. I have size 8DD feet (with a bone spur and bunions) and was worried that these would pinch or chafe. My fears were groundless - these puppies are soooo comfortable. If you look at the photos you can see that the toe area is VERY roomy and I adjusted the bungee cord on mine for the maximum width for my wide feet. My only complaint is the weird bumps on the footbed of the sandal. They really bugged me for the first hour or so but eventually I got used to the feel of them and by the end of the morning didn't even notice them. I guess the good thing about them is that they keep your foot from slipping forward towards the toe, but if the bottom of your feet are very sensitive I'd be wary of buying these sandals. I wore the sandals for 8 hours straight during which time I walked the dog, shopped, gardened and did the housework. At the end of the day my feet were very very happy. Amazing! I bought the navy sandals and I thought the colour was nicer in person that the photo (not as garish). Great purchase (and even better cause I got them 40% off)! May 4, 2013
VERY comfortable shoe! I love the closed toe yet breathable construction of the shoe. The shoes are unbelievably comfortable when you are on your feet all day. The first pair I ordered had to go to local shoe repair after about 6 wearings. The small strap on the inside heel broke - the one that holds the strap that adjusts size. Since the color I had was no longer available, I chose to keep the shoes and repair locally. I am actually ordering a second pair in another color since they are so wonderfully comfortable. I have always had excellent luck with Lands End products -- I tend to tire of wearing the items before they ever wear out! -- so I am hoping the break in the little strap was a fluke. May 4, 2013
Sandal - yes! Shipping - no!!! Let me start by advising anyone thinking of ordering these shoes NOT to use the UPS Surepost (Lands End standard shipping. ) it was the most annoying, frustrating wait I have ever had. And for $5 more, I could have had the package shipped right to my door and not to the Post Office AND had my shoes in less than 3 days!!) As for the sandals? instant love! I have diabetes and needed a closed toe ....something.....to wear and am sick of Crocs. These are cute and stylish! Their fit is great, even on *my* feet, which are swollen and losing nerve sensation. the foot bed is soft and comfortable, with the nubs giving the foot a gentle massage. Typically, in the house I go barefoot....I know....bad for a diabetic....but I have worn these all afternoon with no desire to take them off. I even fell asleep with them on! I am so happy with these sandals!!! April 29, 2013
generally like BUT there is a problem... However, they fit and are very comfortable, I wish they came in 1/2 sizes because I would prefer a 7 1/2, BUT, the little elastic tighterner broke after wearing them twice, and I am debating trying to fix them myself by sewing it by hand, because of the time and hassle of sending them back... Perfect Sandal for the Summer The sandal fit perfectly. It was very comfortable. Beautiful color. April 27, 2013
Just in Time! I'm an artist, and I stand to draw and paint, so I and needed something supportive and cool for the warm weather. Besides being on my feet all day, I've been having problems with an inflamed nerve in one foot and was having a rough morning with my sneakers when these arrived. I put them on and have been wearing them all day. The nerve problem is still there, of course, but these shoes have enough support and cushioning that I was able to get some work done today. Yay! The downside is that, in a size 10 they are rather formidable looking, but hey, a lot of shoes are. They are great for what I needed though, a work shoe for the summer. April 19, 2013
cute and comfortable fits well and has great cushion for long days out. complimented the first day I wore them. April 14, 2013
Not so pleased.... I was excited about receiving this shoe, since a reviewer compared it to the old Trekker sneaker from a few years ago. I love the old Trekker sneakers and am saddened that mine (3 pairs) are on their last legs. The new Trekkers have a bumpy foot bed -- why, Lands' End??? I can't tolerate it on my bare feet. I can tolerate it for a little while with socks. I slipped an insole into the shoe and it's now quite comfortable. But do I really want to wear insoles in my new shoes??? This shoe runs wide, which is good for me. The toe portion of the shoe also turns inward just a tiny bit (pigeon-toed), which isn't so good for me. I have to mention that they have a very, very plastic smell. I have left the shoes out of their plastic packaging for several days, and they still smell strongly of plastic. Presumably the smell will go away, but they are currently stinking up my closet. I bought the beige Trekkers, but they have pink trim which I wish they didn't have. I strongly object to Lands' End's persistence in adding contrasting colors to their shoes, as it makes it hard to coordinate with clothing. I think I have talked myself into returning these shoes....... April 13, 2013
