I couldn't seem to find a light weight black jacket for everyday wear. I ordered this and love it - fills the bill. I like it enough that I may get another in another color. I was surprised that the large fit well because I usually end up getting extra large in jackets. But large fits just right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by luvmychins1 Lightweight Sweater Weight - Thermacheck 100 "Jacket"
I like the fit of the fleece and love the Prism Purple color. The 100 weight fleece is very lightweight and I wear it mostly in the house as a sweater. I live in Tucson and this jacket doesn't work for outside without wearing a down vest when cold and windy or to wear it as a layer inside a windproof jacket. My main complaint with this sweater jacket is the heavy double zipper toggle that hits everything with a loud "thunk" sound when putting it on over my shoulders. The garment is very stretchy, so really doesn't need a two way zipper that lets you open up the bottom of the garment. I also bought the heavier 200 weight Thermacheck fleece jacket and it has just a one-way single zipper toggle. Why just put the two-way zipper on the lighter jacket? Doesn't make much sense to me.

Nice quality. Wish it had fit. Just to big and the sleeves were long too. I returned it...

This jacket runs a little big so at 5' 5" and 130 lbs I needed a small. It is soft, slightly tailored and I am sure I will get many years out of it as they say it will not pill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dragonflydesign I (literally) live in these ThermaCheck 100 jackets
I have been wearing these for years! I own no less than 12 of them. I wear the half zip version every day in the house to keep my cozy. This full zip one I wear outside in spring and fall layered with either the fleece vest or the down vest. No pilling, they look great year after year. Super soft!

The fit is perfect - just wish the sleeves were a bit shorter - but that is easy to alter. I wish both the ThermaCheck 100 vest and jacket (in women's) still had the zip pockets as the men's items still have. With zip pockets I'd be 100% happy with the item. I have both vest & jacket in multiple colors and it accepts a logo very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bargainshopaholic Thermacheck 100 is THE BEST!!!
I absolutely love Thermacheck 100! I have 4 of these zip "jackets", and a zip pullover in the lightweight "Thermacheck 100". I've tried many different competitor's fleece but have found Thermacheck to be the best by far. These are exceptionally soft to the touch as well as the most pill-resistant. They are far better than the Polartec 100 (also sold here) which felt weird (NOT nearly as soft) and left me shivering. These are the LIGHTWEIGHT version, so they are best used as a light layer in cool (but not very cold) conditions (if you plan to wear it out in the cold, layer it or else get the heavier 200 etc. versions!!!). I use these lightweight "jackets" more as a "sweater" layer indoors during the winter so I can keep my heat turned down to 60-65 degrees and still be perfectly comfortable. If I do become too warm, the zip fronts make them easy/ quick to remove. The colors I have are pretty and vibrant, and they wash well and still look great and feel soft afterward! Just be aware the 100 weight is the lightest and is not suitable for serious cold by itself, otherwise you will be disappointed. I found the XL runs large by about one size, so I order the Large instead. (Land's End: please please please do not ever discontinue your Thermacheck 100!!!)
