Women's SwimMates Orchid Floral Bikini Bottom
love the print, wish the quality was better
Recently bought this bottom and matching splice bikini top for a great price at sears. I love the purple orchid print! The top fits great! Feels like it will stay in place while chasing my 2 year old, but the bottom is a different story. There is a major difference in the quality between the two. As other reviews state this bottom does not feel well constructed. The waist band does not have wide enough elastic to make it feel reliably secure. I looked on the website for a different bottom, but unfortunately couldn't find anything else that would match and was constructed better. Haven't worn it yet (because bathing suit season is over in CT), so my review is based on trying it on and examinating how it looks The main reason I am keeping it is because I like the top so much. I also bought the skirt in the same print, which is also nicely made. I also purchased a purple polka dot bikini - same story - great top, bottom is exactly the same as this one.

The elastic waist didn't have much snap to it.
I found the elastic waist to be somewhat loose compared to the fit of the elastic in the leg openings. I will have to hold on to these as I exit the pool or ocean for fear of slippage.

I Love the Floral Patterns
The color looks great and it feels great. I love the floral patterns.

These bikini bottoms have a great fit and wear well. The size chart made ordering easy. I will buy it again next swim season.

I LOVE this suit. I bought the underwire bikini top (which is a lovely, flattering fit....I don't worry about leaning over to help one of my kids and having it "all fall out") and this bikini bottom. The problem is, after a few days of wearing it, the elastic in the bottom feels either stretched out or too thin. I can't figure out what's wrong with it. So I am a bit disappointed.

I brought the Swim Bikini for my teen daughter and it fits very nice and true size!

Just what I was looking for
The last ten years or so I have had a difficult time wearing a bikini. I could only find bottoms that were too skimpy or too matronly. These bottoms provide just the right coverage in the rear that I don't feel the need to tug and pull as I walk, but are also cut just well enough that my children (who are 18-21 years old) do not tease me for pretending I'm still a teenager. I can feel confident that I look good and I definitely feel good. I wear them with the Swimmates underwire bikini top and even though I run with the (way) over-40 crowd, I no longer feel stuck wearing swimsuits meant to hide everything. One tip -- I did order one size larger than my street clothes size and I am glad I made that decision.

Elastic around the waist/hips not tight enough
I purchased this bottom in the Dot and Orchid Floral pattern. I ordered it in 2 different sizes. I kept the larger size as I felt that's what I needed for rear coverage. But in both of the sizes the elastic at the waist is just a little too loose. I liked the pattern and the look of the bikini bottom. But the issue with the fit of the waistband is why I didn't give this item 5 stars. I have worn them both at the beach and in the pool and I find myself having to adjust every time I get up and move around or get in and out of the water. I'm going to see if I can get a tailor to take them in just a little, which seems crazy for a bathing suit bottom! But I purchased the matching bikini tops so I want to be able to continue to wear these bottoms.

I love the overall look of the pieces together and fits great!

the print and color are good
the fit is way too skimpy...Land's End caters to mature women who do not want to wear such skimpy bottoms...I am 53, size 10 and still wear 2 piece bikini suits...I have always relied on Lands End in the past to make bikini bottoms that came about 1" or 1"1/2" below the belly button so it was still attractive but covered nicely. I have a fairly muscular body, I work out with weights and attend boot camp classes each week but I do have a little tummy bulge from having children...these bottoms just were awful coverage wise. Even without a little tummy bulge I would still find them too skimpy. I love Lands End as you can see by my long customer history...I hope you do a little better next year...on a positive note I did purchase a tankini that I loved
