Women's SwimMates Halter Bikini Top 3.2 5 25 25
Not very flattering I like the bra sizing options available for the tops. The adjustable back is also really great. I am a 32 and often have trouble getting tops to fit unless they tie. However, it was a disappointment that the neck wan't adjustable. I was hoping to pull it up a little more. Overall the top was ok, but was a little too conservative for me. I don't necessarily want a ton of cleavage showing, but somehow this top overly minimized my chest. May 12, 2013
I agree...please bring it back. I just love the colors of last year's Swimmates!! I prefer them over this year's. I also took a chance and ordered several of these bikini tops, since they were on sale. I am so glad I did! Cute! I wear a 36DD bra, and the 40C/42B as well as the 40D/42C work for me due to the adjustable straps. I am sorry that I missed out on the tropical turquoise solid color, although I did get the turquoise stripe. Yeah! I bought the orchid and melon...in solid colors, and they are both beautiful. Lands End...I know some of these colors sold out quickly last year, especially with the skirts. ( Because I waited a little too long to order and they were GONE.) That should tell you something...please bring back these great colors! Thanks. April 9, 2013
Fits perfectly, love it! I ordered this top and a matching bottom despite the negative reviews solely because it is sized by bra size. I am happy to report that I am returning other more expensive bikinis from other retailers and keeping this one! Wish they had more in stock, I would buy several colors! . I am 5'8", and a 32C bra size - which is what I ordered. Perfect fit, and it is padded enough so you don't have to worry about nipples poking through. The back strap and halter neck strap are adjustable. I'm a mom of 2 little boys, so fairly active at the beach/pool. Fun, sexy swimsuit that is still appropriate for my age and not matronly. I am disappointed that the bottoms are sold out and so are most of the tops - bring this one back, Lands End! April 8, 2013
Not flattering at all. Yikes! I have no idea why this is being sold by cup size, there is absolutely no cup at all. This item fits like a training bra - flattens. It was the weirdest fit. Flattening from the sides and spilling out the front, with no cup shape at all. I cannot imagine what shape or size could wear this. February 1, 2013
Liked this idea, but won't be keeping. These tops are cute, but they did not work for me. I ordered two colors and two sizes (a total of two tops). I have been a 36A forever, but with some weight gain, I'm sometimes in between band and cup sizes, so I ordered my usual, plus the larger combo which would go into either 38 band or B cup. The sizing seemed fairly straight forward. The smaller was a little tight and I spilled out some (also the halter on its largest setting felt too tight and small to me--there wasn't enough fabric to get up to my neck), and the larger was a little large on me, to the extent that the band rode low rather than supporting the breasts underneath snugly. I loved the simple elastic band underneath. It was substantial enough to NOT create fear of fall out. It felt really secure and nice. The adjustability on both the halter top and the back were also lovely, and I made use of them while trying on the products. :) I loved that it was not underwire (I hate underwires even on a good day, and for swimming/sports there is no way I would want one involved), but also NOT a string bikini!!! However, this product has a real problem with the spacing of the cups, as someone else said somewhere. (Perhaps on the page for one of the patterned bras.) My breasts are wide spaced so I took a chance, but the straps are so far apart that they dug into my armpits, and when I leaned over in either side, the cups gaped and exposed parts that should not be seen, if you get my drift. There is no way that design could keep me covered, with either a snug/tight sizing, or a larger one (which I thought might serve to cover more). I should have figured from the picture that this would not be a bra top which could stay over the breasts very well while moving around, but it looked really cute, so I took a chance. I wanted to use it with my swim camis on top, but since those are loose, I have to have the bikini top fitting correctly underneath. ;) I wish that these had worked out, because they are the fashionable, modest, simple top that I was looking for, but I will be returning them and ordering a new style from LE. Fortunately, the price was right with clearance, and I received free shipping with a deal that was running, so I am not too upset with the experiment. Here's to finding the correct top at some point! :D January 17, 2013
Spot on - great top! I ordered this top and a matching bottom totally guessing on sizing. Imagine my shock when both fit perfectly! How often does that happen? The top is lovely and unlike other reviews, I found it to be accurately sized. I am 5'6", 118 lbs. and a 32C bra size - which is what I ordered. Perfect. The back strap is fully adjustable. I was worried about the halter being uncomfortable, but it isn't at all. I'm a mom of 4 little ones, but very active and in shape. I'm glad to have found a fun, non-matronly looking swimsuit that is still somewhat conservative and appropriate for my age. I haven't worn it for swimming yet so I can't comment on durability, but it seems well made and fits so nicely. Thanks, LE! January 7, 2013
Not what I was looking for. This cute bikini top is probably great for a young woman. I was looking for something to wear under my SPF 50 swim tee. I found the band underneath to be way too tight in 3 different sizes. None of the cups fit my figure. Just wasn't comfortable. December 22, 2012
Large fit, go down a size I found this top huge. I was just fitted at a bra store the day before ordering, so I was confident in the 36B size. However, it looked and fit like a 38DD top. I was floating in the top. I returned it, and ordered a 34A which fits great, now I am happy with the top. November 4, 2012
Great top for water sports I got this top right before leaving for a scuba diving trip in Aruba. It is an excellent top for active water sports. There are no extra bits or pieces to get caught up in gear. The fit is fantastic. I love their sizing. October 20, 2012
Well Made but Too Big! I purchased this top as a bikini set because it was in the sale and such a good price. It was shipped fairly quickly and although I wasn't able to track my shipment, it arrived promptly. The bikini is well made with good quality fabric but when I tried it on I was disappointed. I have never purchased anything from Land's End before but I normally wear 32B-34A and size 3 to 4 clothes. Recently, I have put on a little weight so I would say at the moment I am a 'big' 4. I ordered the 32B/34A size and still it was too big - the cups are huge! I think if I was a 34C I would comfortably fit into it. The back band is fully adjustable but the straps can only be slightly adjusted meaning that the bikini gapes open. Also the style is a little 'mumsy', I'm 32 and felt it was a little old for me but would be good if you want to cover everything up. October 15, 2012
