Women's Stadium Squall Coat
Warm, Strong, many good features
the only thing I don't like so far is the velcro tabs on the flap. they automatically fasten and get in the way of fastening the zipper and unfastening it. so I bought some velcro and cut the tabs to length and covered each one and now, I can always go back to using them, but there is no impediment when I don't need them!
tough outer shell, windproof, very comfy and warm with great and many pockets and hood!

the color was ok
I purchased this particular coat 2 yrs ago and it wasn't like the the previous coat with same product number. The last one I purchased the Same size was ordered but was too tight pockets were not in correct position and the previous color I had before was not offered. Did not have the option to have the split at bottom for walking and this last one weight more but was not as warm as the first one I bought. Please bring back the other one then I will buy one . I still ware the first one and am going to feel sad that I won't be able to have another like this old one. I have purchased many Lands End clothes for me and my family and was surprised to be disappointed with the coat.

Fits like a sack, not as warm as expected.
I picked up the Squall parka and like it quite a lot, the weather resistant shell is great for that "might rain or snow or slush" kind of weather. I thought this would be good for colder, windier days with the longer length, but I wasn't all that impressed. The fit is not flattering, and I know that it's a winter coat but still, I have worn much nicer looking coats that kept me warm. The bottom section isn't lined as much as the top which was a bit disappointing. I'm not a big fan of the velcro closures instead of snaps, it kept velcro-ing shut so even if you use the bottom zipper to zip up a bit for leg freedom, the velcro flops right back into place right away. Also, the pockets are placed in an awkward place, like I had to put my arms too far back to comfortably tuck them in to the pockets while walking.
It is pretty wind resistant, and having the coat cover my thighs was nice, but it just wasn't as warm as I was expecting. I returned it for a down coat, which will hopefully do the trick.

I bought this coat anticipating winter trips to Philadelphia and eastern Europe. Little did I know that my Southern town was in for its coldest winter in 15 years! It held up great in Philadelphia with highs in teens and twenties, but also came in handy right here at home. An excellent purchase for me.

Honey Bunny Betty Boop!
Really comfortable and warm!
The monogram turned out really special. I spent the money on this really expensive squall, I wouldn't say it's worth $300. I wasn't going to pass up this chance to get something of this excellent quality and opportunity for a monogram. I really fit nicely in this squall (Petite - Large, 14-16), with room for a bulky sweater and I'm curvy (180 pounds, so not too curvy), with a small pooch.
I will always cherish this squall and my relationship with Lands End - I love your stuff!!!
A must buy! Do it now and get a personalized monogram to make it more special :)

No good for fit in shape people
I was very excited to receive this coat when I placed the order online. I'm an active female and standard weight for my size. So I order an xsmall. The coat is huge. You could fit 2 people in it. It doesn't matter how warm it if its so big that the cold drafty air will be getting it. Perhaps you need to size your coats on new fits models land end or start making xxxsmall and xxsmall. Which come on shouldn't exist no one is a 0 or below. Stop making sizes that are bigger and labeled smaller than they are too make people feel good about being in a smaller size! I will never purchase from you company again

Very good but
Great warmth and keeps you dry. Nice that the hood is removable. The inner knit cuffs are a good enhancement, keeping the arms warm. However, the coat is cut smaller than the earlier version. Don't care for the snaps on the pockets because they make it look less dressy. The zipper goes down too far, making it more difficult to zip (than the old version).

Great coat for rainy, not too cold climates like the Northwest!
This is a great raincoat, long enough to cover legs, hood fits well and does not block vision, velcro secures flap (over zipper), wrists, neck, etc. Lightly lined to fend off some cold, but is primarily for rain. Sometimes the zipper is a little tricky, but otherwise I love this coat! It's perfect for NW winters.

Coat is simply mah-velous!
So glad I bought this ridiculously warm coat! I got it so I could visit my daughter in the frigid regions of very upstate NY. I am testing out if I can move there and survive a winter after being spoiled by southern life. I haven't gotten to wear it up there yet, but this winter in NC has been something else, and I got to test it here one day when it was 21 degrees and snowing horizontally. I was sweating! I now feel prepared for the North Country. I have even figured out the 2 zippers. I wouldn't want to try zipping them both if my house was on fire but, under normal circumstances...well, it's not rocket science!
Looked everywhere before finding this at Land's End. Came on time, was packaged well, and made me an online Lands End customer.

I have a red squall coat which I bought several years ago.
I absolutely LOVE my RED coat and am complimented on it ALL the time. I wear it Fall, WINTER and Spring , even though I live in Canada - during the winter ,if it's really cold, as this year has been (-30 F on several occasions), I wear a down vest under it! I bought one for a friend a few years ago and her experience has been the same. i work in a store and recognized the same coat on a customer- when I said I had the same one, she replied that she bought hers 20 years ago. Anyway, I have another friend who fell in love with it, especially the RED colour, only to find out that it's only available in BLACK! Is there any way you could find a RED MEDIUM????
