Women's Stadium Squall Coat
Warm, Strong, many good features
the only thing I don't like so far is the velcro tabs on the flap. they automatically fasten and get in the way of fastening the zipper and unfastening it. so I bought some velcro and cut the tabs to length and covered each one and now, I can always go back to using them, but there is no impediment when I don't need them!
tough outer shell, windproof, very comfy and warm with great and many pockets and hood!

I'm keeping it because I'm desperate, but I liked the comfortable cut of the old coat.
By making this a fitted coat, I can't get a sweater under it and build up the layers. I'm keeping my old coat and wearing the new one for "dress."

Lands End, please do something about the zipper.
The zippers on these coats are impossible. I have a perfectly good stadium squall coat from two seasons ago that I am going to have to discard because I have struggled so much with the zipper that it is almost broken. I ordered a new one on sale and couldn't even zip it at all, so I returned it. Don't waste your money! Otherwise this is a great coat--keeps me warm standing on an outdoor subway platform.

Just in time for the cold weather.
This coat is a replacement for another squall. It is much warmer with pockets that are either zipper or snap. I miss the side opening (when I need to get to my jeans pocket) and I miss the upper chest pockets.) I do like the snug sleeve that keeps the cold air from going up and the pockets that are lined keeping hands warm. This early cold spell in New York put the coat through a good test ... it passed the test! I like the color and the fit is good not too snug allowing room for a sweater. Overall good fit, comfortable and keeps me warm.

Perfect for Wisconsin bitter cold days!
This coat fits my every winter need! Love the sweater cuffs with added velcro closure for sleeve. Love the two-way zipper for driving to places that require this coat. Extra zipper pockets hold keys at dog park. Love the secure neck closure. Ordered online after store did not have size. Quality cannot be impoved!

Keeps you warm and dry
Although this coat does keep you warm and dry and the high collar is windproof, the fit could be improved. The sleeves are narrow and you cannot wear a thick sweater underneath the coat. Also, the pockets are too high for your hands - unless you have very short arms.

Great coat--miss the chest front slit pockets for hand warming
I just replaced my previous squall coat which lasted 6+ years. It was a beautiful pinky rose--the colour faded and with the sun and the plastic zipper broke. I love the design and warmth of this squall coat. The new metal longer zipper is wonderful, and the length of the coat always keeps you covered dry and toasty. My only regret is the new front pockets--they are now very low and more off to the sides--the zippers on them cut into your hands. The previous model had slit pockets on the chest that you could just slide your hands into and rest them in a very warm comfortable position especially when sitting.

Very warm, does the job well!
Thanks to a number of reviews saying this ran a bit on the small side, I ordered a size up from what I normally wear, and I was glad I did. I ordered an XL, and the fit is almost identical to my 15-year-old regular Squall Parka in size L (which is still going strong for my go-to daily wear jacket, but I also wanted the longer length). It did shrink up a tiny bit the first time I laundered it, so I was very glad I ordered a size up. What felt a bit generous out of the package is now is a perfect fit.
The length of this coat is excellent, it is incredibly warm, even in windy and wet conditions, and the hand-warmer pockets are super warm. They're a bit low-set for walking around, but when sitting they are at the perfect location for hand-warming. I could do without the zippers on these pockets. With the cargo pockets and the other zippered pockets, it's overkill, and the zippers could potentially chafe at the wrist. I don't find the velcro closures on the storm flap to be a problem. It is a bit boxy-looking, but I wanted it for keeping warm while doing winter chores in the cold/wet/wind, and it does that very well.
Bottom line, don't buy this if you're looking for high fashion. If you're looking for a super-warm coat to keep you protected from the elements, it can't be beat!

Good and Bad
Purchased Fall, 2013
Coat runs small. Arms are tight with normal layers of just a turtleneck & sweater. Hood doesn't allow for earmuffs or hat and comes down too far in front to see out of, won't stay on because the coat fits too snug around shoulders.
2 big pockets in front are very helpful. The smaller zippered pockets on the sides are a pain: too far back, not big enough, and the zippers hurt the hands, especially in the cold when you have to take off the gloves. Small zippered pocket is difficult to zip / unzip. Interior pocket is great for cell phone.
Velcro strips at the bottom are very unhelpful. 2nd zipper is very nice to allow for walking or driving, or just standing with extra warmth to the knees -- very much appreciated! Zippers have always been difficult to start to zip up.
Taking into account the weather we had last year, the coat did well to keep me warm as I need to walk my dog several times daily. On the worst days and nights, I had to wear another jacket under it in order to keep warm when we were in areas sheltered from the sun. Since the coat fits snugly in the arms, shoulders, and neck to begin with, this became a challenge. I started off with 3 layers of indoor clothing and a summer windbreaker underneath this coat and ended up with the 3 interior layers plus my old winter jacket under this coat in order to stay warm in our brutal, windy, cold weather.
This year, first week in December, the zipper broke. I probably pushed it to the limit last year trying to keep warm with so many layers underneath the coat, but the winter winds were far too brutal. Faced with the decision of replacing the zipper, taking it out and finding another way to close the coat, or replacing the coat entirely, I'm stuck and feel a little frustrated.

Love this coat, just got it and have worn it twice, once in the pouring rain at my daughter's soccer practice and the other time on a cold crisp morning. It is true to its size, nice and warm and water proof/resistant!
I love the length! Two of my girlfriends are thinking of ordering it!
