With its waterproof, windproof, any-kind-of-weather proof features, it’s guaranteed protection when winter comes full force. Comfort details include a fleece-lined collar, adjustable cuffs with interior rib-knit cuffs and a drawcord waist. For secure storage, parka includes roomy front pockets with snap flaps and dual-side entry, zippered handwarmer pockets, a small zippered chest pocket, plus an inside zip pocket. Antistatic fleece lining in the top half and hood resists shocks, lint. Bottom half is lined with 100% nylon for easy movement. Machine wash. Imported.

Good parka but not enough colours
I would like a parka like this except that I really want a camel or heather coloured parka to replace my previous one that is now too big for me. Please Landsend bring back the Women's WindPoint Parka

Like a Hug!
This is truly a jacket I could live in. It has everything. The hand warmer lining is so warm. The green color is the same color as the jacket I had when I went collage. I love having it again! With spring here I am going to miss wearing this jacket. I went snow shoeing a few times and it worked like a dream. Walks outdoors are nice now because I stay warm. The price was exceptional.

Excellent warmth and useful features
I've had this jacket through 2 winters in Ottawa, Canada and I love it! Lots of pockets for things when taking the dog for a walk or down to the local store. Truly static resistant fleece lining, water and wind proof without bulk. Good fit: I wear a petite size so finding a versatile jacket where the arms are the right length and the coat doesn't go to my knees is a big plus.

I love this coat.
I live in Wisconsin and we have had a very cold, windy, snowy and raw winter. This coat has been the warmest and best wind resistant coat the I have ever worn. I walk my dog everyday and this coat allowed me to walk him almost everyday. It fit me well. I would buy it again.

My new favorite parka
I was passing through Lands' End at Sears and a blackberry Squall Parka at an unbelievable clearance price called out to me. It is beautifully constructed and I am still discovering pockets, zippers and convenient, well-designed details. It is a little trimmer in the arms than I am used to, but I don't need that extra sweater or fleece because the parka is so incredibly warm and wind-proof. Fleece-lined, zippered, snapped and/or open pocket options keep my hands warm and my gear secure. I had been checking out LE for a new parka for a few years, but the colors did not suit me. This blackberry, however, is perfect with dark or silver hair and a welcome change from default black.

In love!
I ordered the green squall in a 1x about a month ago and am totally in love with it. The colour is lovely and I like that it isn't the same as everyone else. I found the parka to be generous in size as I normally wear a size 20 and have lots of room in the coat. It is a super warm coat and has served me well this winter with frequent cold temps and lots of snow squalls. It's great for outdoor activities but also nice looking enough to wear out for dinner etc. Many complain about the pockets but I find them well placed and useful. The hand warmer ones are big enough to suit their purpose and the lower ones provide a large and secure space for items. Likely my favourite feature is the double zipper as I can unzip the bottom before driving and feel like there's lots of room. Yep, I love, love, love it.

Great for cold weather
I have been looking at this parka for a couple of years and I thought it might be too warm, based on the rating to -5. But it was perfect this year with all the temps in the teens and 20s we've been having. Based on the sizing info i would wear a XS, but I like to be able to wear a sweater or fleece vest underneath my jackets so I always by a small in Land's End jackets. The lower pockets are a little far back and the zipper can be cranky to get started as some others have pointed out, but I really like the hand warmer pockets and the fleece lining. And the fleece lining in the collar is nice on a cold day.

Excellent parka, especially for the price
I took this parka on an Antarctic Expedition with my husband. It worked very well. It was waterproof, snowproof, and windproof, the hood was great- no seawater spray down my back, and I could layer easily for different temperatures. After the trip, I threw it in the wash and it is as good as new (although I had to wash it twice to get the penguin stain off). Please note that my nickname is not Samurai1685, that is my husband. This system won't let me change it.

fit is small
This is my 3rd squall parka and the fit and features are not the same.The front pockets are very small,gloves won't fit in pocket. I don't like the cut of the hood around the neck. The old parka had velcro at the end flaps so that you could bring it right around the face in the cold. When I bought it I was expecting the same fit and features as the old style parkas. It is warm and windproof though. Bring back the old style.

Pretty good coat!
I bought the women's tall size. I am 5' 10", and the sleeve and hem length were fine, but it is not really true to size. The rest of the jacket was not proportionately sized. So, the pockets fall too high. It's a bit awkward. The hood is not optimally designed, either. When it is off the head, it brushes my head, which I find annoying. On the other hand, this really is the warmest coat I've ever owned. And it achieves its warmth without a lot of bulk.
