Women's Sport Knit Skirt
Please bring back the pockets!
This is a practical skirt for real people and the lack of pockets is a deal breaker for this practical gal. I loved the old style and am so disappointed to find it's no longer available. Dressy skirts are available everywhere but I've always counted on Lands End for the things I can wear every day. This skirt is no longer it for me.

Great transitional and nice for travel.
The length is a bit longer than I like. No need to look dowdy so I fold the waistband over and it's just right.

I had really been struggling with how to look pretty with my postpartum body. I needed a skirt that was pretty, but stretched a little, was affordable, and could be thrown in the washing machine after my baby inevitably peed/ spit up/ vomited on it. This came in the mail today and is PERFECT. I ordered a medium and will be ordering smalls in the other colors since it is stretchy. Thanks, Lands End!

100% Cotton is Heavenly
Cotton resists static cling which is very important here in the dry and cold New England winter. What good is a lovely skirt if it is clinging to your tights? I love comfortable, versatile pieces that can be worn in a variety of ways. I splurged on the leopard print Supima cotton cardigan which will make a nice (and incredibly comfortable) outfit over the Thanksgiving week and beyond. The fabric is a decent heft as well which is great in a world of toilet paper thin fabrics. The stretchy waistband will accommodate quite a bit of turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc. Thank you, LE, for offering 100 % cotton items!

a lovely cotton knit skirt at an appealing price
This is a lovely, comfotable skirt. The fabric and longer hem length are excellent for Autumn and winter. The flat waist band is also quite appealing and comfortable. I don't really miss the pockets and the 6 gores, although I do enjoy having them on the two Lands' End sport knit skirts I own from previous years. My only complaint is with the size of the waistband. I have a post 4-baby, middle-aged tummy and usually need an accommodating waistband. This one, incredibly, is too loose in size medium for me! So I have ordered two of these skirts in small and only hope I can wear them.

The newer design of the Sport Knit Skirt is Okay.
Years ago, when I wore size medium, I bought the Sport Knit Skirt in black and winter white. I much preferred this earlier edition of the Sport Knit Skirt, which had a stitched elastic waist and pockets, and was a longer length. When I wanted to get the Sport Knit Skirt in a larger size, I saw that the design had changed. The stitched elastic waist band and pockets are gone, and the skirt is shorter. I greatly preferred the earlier design of the Sport Knit Skirt, but this one is "okay," since the better-designed one is no longer available. And, I was happy to see that the Sport Knit Skirt now offers additional colors -- I bought the plum and charcoal.

I purchased this in my normal size, Large, to wear to church in the fall and winter. Luckily I have lost enough weight that the stretch waist does not touch my waist. Material is stretchy like the Starfish capris and pants, waist tends to run larger. I will probably have to order a smaller size;0)!

thanks, lands end, for offering a true xxs
i'm 5' 1" - 100 lbs - and i have a hard time getting skirts to fit without alteration
or using safety pins and such. the xxs fits perfectly; there's room to tuck in a top
but it fits fine with a top out as well.
the skirt is described as a-line but it's fuller than that; it drapes well and fits smoothly
across the hips.
the waistband is finished so cleanly that i sometimes fold it down, which makes the
skirt knee-length on me, which looks better than the below-the-knee length that it
in any event, i'm so thrilled to have found a skirt that fits me right off the bat that
i've bought 3 of them and may buy another one or two to keep in reserve.
the only improvement that i can think of is on-seam pockets. i don't believe the
argument that on-sean pockets add bulk; what they do add is labor costs.

It's my new favorite!
This skirt is my new favorite ~ the color and fit are perfect. The wide waistband is extra comfy and the width of the skirt makes it the right combination of stylish and swing-y. I'll be buying more of these staples.
