Women's Solid Control Performance Slim Pants
I love all styles of lands end performance pants . I own many pairs and am 100% satisfied ... They wash and dry perfectly and last forever

It is hard for a full figured woman to find active wear pants that covers the rear well. I am very happy with these even though they were too long. Spent the extra bucks to have them shorten.
The Petite size would have been to short in the stride.

Great gym pants, but
I bought a regular XS and the fit is good, but I have to turn them up. Why oh why are the petites the same length? Makes no sense. If they were shorter I believe a petite small might have worked better for me, but oh well. Fabric is smooth and substantial, no worries re show through.

Ride up the legs
These fit beautifully. The length appears perfect. I tried to wear them as "regular" pants because they were so flattering, but the pant legs rode up my socks and appears way too short. Such a bummer. They either need a long option or stirrups for these to stay put.

Just Perfect for Exercise Class or As Leggings with a Big Shirt
I had to wait for these to be back in stock and I am glad I decided to be patient- they are excellent quality performance pants. For me, I am in-between an 8 and 10 in LE pants with long legs and high waist. These fit me very well in a size medium- not too tight (I can easily breathe in them without feeling squeezed at the abdomen) and just long enough. They are snug on the body in a good way- like a lower body hug :). I have performance pants from all the big sports brands and I can honestly say these LE pants are right up there with the best of them.
In terms of sizing/design issues, I would say they do run a little long in pant length with minimal control top- if you are short and need/want extra control at the waist, these pants may not be what you are looking for in regular misses sizes.
I bought 2 pairs and they look like they are durable and will withstand activity and daily use. I would not hesitate to recommend them and will buy more when these wear out.

I've had a difficult time finding great workout pants for the gym for years). I'm 5'7'' and slim/normal weight but I found that almost all fashionable activewear these past years is extremely low rise, skin tight and very uncomfortable. Also, a secondary issue is that I don't want to have to wear underpants under my workout clothes because it bunches and shows through. I want a smooth line (I wear a panty liner or pad for hygiene and comfort.) Tights/Leggings are not opaque enough and not really appropriate to wear if I leave the gym and want to go shopping.
So the only pants I found that worked for me for the past couple of years were the Original Lands End Performance Pants. They fit well, were functional, completely opaque, just not as slim and sexy as I would like. I wore a size Medium.
Then last year I decided to stop eating gluten - I wanted to see how it would affect my energy. After eliminating gluten, I dropped 13 pounds practically overnight. I never missed wheat/gluten and the weight never came back. My Lands End Performance Pants were suddenly huge and baggy. So I came back to the website to figure out what to do. First, I ordered those original pants in Small and they fit - just a tad low in the rise, but fine. But I also saw this new version - the Performance Slim Pants. I spoke to the rep to get all the measurements. These run completely different in size from the Original Performance Pants, so we determined the Medium would not be too large in this style.
All I can say is that I have never found a pant that looks and feels as great as these. The Medium in the Slim Pant is perfect and fits like they were made for me. Not low in the rise, buddy hugging without being tight - in fact I forget I have them on. I wear them for everyday and they are very flattering and sexy. Completely opaque so no need for underwear and your rear still looks ladylike. :) Look fantastic with sandals, wedges or gym shoes. I ordered a second pair and now have come back to order two more pair during this holiday sale.
There is only one downside but it's not a contract breaker. Both the Original and Slim Performance styles state that they are pre-hemmed at 30.5" in regular. That's true for the Original...the hem was perfect in both the Medium and Small and I never had to hem them. But the Slim Pants are much longer - at least 2" longer. I've taped them up with hemming tape for now, but will eventually get them to the tailor to be hemmed. I don't know why they claim to be 30.5" when they are not.
Great pants! If they fit you as well as they fit me and so many other reviewers, you'll be very happy.

Good for running
I've worn these inside (lounging) and for running outdoors. They are great for about 40 degrees and colder, if there's no wind (unlike my other winter running pants these are not wind resistant; though of course nothing in the description said they would be...). Love the slim legs; I can't run in wide-leg pants. I wear 8 in LE pants (5' 4", 132 pounds; had to go to medium for these because of the slim fit. Pocket holds license and car key. I do wish the pocket had a zipper.

Love these pants
These are great pants for working out, or just hanging out. I ordered several pair, and the Capri version as well. Comfortable, good quality and washes well.

Just right for a workout at the Y.
I like the feel of the fabric. I like the little pocket to hold a tissue or my Y membership card. And they look nice enough to go on errands after a workout. I've ordered two more pair because I exercise more than I do the laundry.

Read closely: no control in tummy area
Maybe there are people out there who want control at the waist and in a small triangle at the side of the hip, but who have rock hard lower abs? I sure don't. I didn't read closely enough, and therefore incorrectly assumed "control pants" would have tummy control. Nope. I don't need to pay this price to showcase the old pooch in revealing, non-control stretch fabric, thank you very much, especially since, given the lack of a petite option, I had to have the control waist up above my waist or the crotch seam mid thigh. Shame, since the concept (actual control pants with a slim leg) is such a good one. I'd pay even more for pants like that if they came in a real petite.
