Women's Sleeveless Jacquard Welt Pocket Dress
Best dress ever
Great style - very flattering, very forgiving, very comfortable. Dress is easily dressed up or down, and never wrinkles. Excellent for business travel. I never review anything, but this dress stands out easily as one of my best clothing purchases ever.

good basic for work
The material is a soft knit and has stretch to it so it's very comfortable. I got an 8 Petite- I'm 5'5", 130 with a small waist and upper body and a bigger "booty" so the fit and flare style works for me. The 8 P is a bit roomy, especially around the armholes, but it worked well all winter with a thin merino turtleneck under it for my cold workplace with an infinity scarf draped around the neck. (I couldn't wear it without a shirt under it, though.) I love that I can wash and air dry the dress rather than spending money on dry-cleaning. As others noted, the waist seam is higher than where you would wear a belt. It's very comfy and a great basic piece for me as a teacher, but it doesn't have the sleek sheath look on me that it does on the model.

The material of this dress has more "give" than the same dress in black color. This dress is simplistic but flattering. The model on the picture shows the waist line more at the natural level but in the petite dress, it fits much higher between waist line and breast. So, the belt in the picture is deceivingly wrong (looks like it's on the waist).
I also got the belt at 50% off at the Lands End store inside Sears. It's a nice belt.
Very nice for work and the pockets are deep!
It's not the best quality. Is unlined except for a tiny facing patch below the neckline (like 1 inch) and the pockets. You have to be careful when you put it on so your foot doesn't get caught on the inside pockets as you're pulling up the dress or you can end up ripping the pockets off.
I had to try on a 2nd dress in the same size (6P) because the 1st dress' sleeveless lining would fold out when you look in the mirror from behind. The 2nd one didn't do that. Poor quality control, made in Vietnam. The material is much thinner weight than the same dress in black and you can see the surface lining of the inside pocket coming thru the front of your abdomen if it's too tight (I tried on a size 2 and 4 in regular women's sizes - can get into both of them but found the length too long).
The black dress in the same pattern, which costs $10 less at original price, is thicker material and made in China. For some reason, the black dress feels more snug and not as comfortable. When you sit down with both dresses (in the dressing room) the pockets flare out and the abdominal area of the dress crunches up which is not flattering. I got it for over 60% off, on sale, so I can live with the imperfections.
