Women's Quilted Insulator Parka
I like this overall, but...
It is a nice light weigh jacket- good for spring or fall, when weather 40-50 degrees. It is stylish and would be easy to take in a suitcase. I have washed this only once and several areas of the quilted stitching is already coming out. Very disappointed in that......I expect more from LE clothing. I do like it overall.

Great Jacket for Travel
I love this jacket. It's warm but very lightweight. It'll be great for when I travel since it will pack down to almost nothing. The sizing runs true to size and the regiment navy color is very nice.

I really liked this jacket - very chic looking, and seems well made. However, it's cut big (vanity sizing). I am 5'9" and 145 lbs with an athletic build, and normally wear 4-6 and small in everything. I was swimming in the small in this jacket. Chest, shoulders, sleeves, hips, everything was too big (and sleeves were strangely too long, even on a tall person like myself). Sending back.

I got this coat for a trip to the UK--rainy and mid-40's. It was just right (not to mention surprisingly in style. I saw similar quilted black coats and jackets everywhere!) It did repel rain, and it kept me warm. It is roomy enough for a sweater underneath. I especially liked two elements: the shoulder epaulets have working snaps which allowed me to use the epaulets to secure a big scarf. The sleeves also have working snaps, and when it got a little warm, I tied the coat around my waist and snapped the sleeves to each other--voila! No need to retie the coat, and no slipping off. I also liked the snap front, which let me open the bottom when I was in the car. I did find that the belt was superfluous--didn't even take it on the trip. It is slippery, and I thought I would always be losing it unless I kept the coat tightly belted, which I didn't want to do. Last thing: it packs really small. Come to think of it, that is probably why it doesn't have that "puffer coat" look.

I LOVE this jacket!
I purchased this at the last minute for a trip I was going on as the weather was expected to be cool. I got the khaki as it is a dressier look. The jacket has no weight to it, yet is very warm . I have been comfortable from upper 20s (with sweater) to 50s. It is so comfortable and good looking. I plan on getting another color. The size seems true, but the sleeves are a little long.

This is a great jacket. I had to send back a heavier down jacket because the zipper gave-out. I was afraid this wouldn't be as warm. It isn't as warm but its so much more comfortable to wear. It is very light weight with no bulk and the length is good for driving in. I don't think I'd trust it alone in 5* weather but its being perfect at 20* (I'll add a fleece under for colder). Great coat

I bought 2
I purchased the "rich khaki" color (which has lot of green in it...) earlier in the season & loved it so much that when I saw it on clearance I bought the black also. I get compliments every time I wear it. It's a lightweight thinner coat, so if you are looking for protection in the snow, this isn't the right jacket. But if you need something un-bulky to go over a sweater in not-so-cold weather, this is a great jacket. It comes down long enough to cover my butt. It does run VERY big though. I am usually a medium (I'm 5'5", about 145 lbs) but I had to get the small in this, and there is still plenty of room.

poor design, feels cheap
I am a size 4 and typically wear an XS in Lands End clothing. I wanted the jacket to have a little extra room for layering, so I ordered a Small. It was HUGE, and the arms were attached so that there was a weird pooch right at my armpit. I exchanged it for an XS and the fit wasn't much better. The armholes were still strange with a weird pooch in front of them. There is also very limited mobility, so that every time you raise your arms the entire jacket comes up. The jacket felt too tight across the shoulders in the back, and too roomy in the front. The belt is very flimsy and sticks out when tied, and the coat poofs out both above and below the belt in a very unflattering way. I have been looking for an orange, quilted, belted, medium length jacket all season and I thought I had found the perfect coat. It is FAR from perfect. I returned the XS as well and found a nice belted coat in another brand.

Modern, Slick and Surprisingly Warm.
Like most of you I read the reviews very carefully, so I wanted to give my own impressions of this jacket. I wore it out the day I received it in 39* weather on a sunny day with a light breeze to walk my dog with just a turtleneck on. I was quite comfortable. If the breeze had been gustier, I definitely would have preferred a sweater underneath. The jacket weighs nothing and is surprisingly warm. For under 40* plan on wearing a sweater. The arms are long on me by over 1 1/2 inches, so you ladies with longer arms will be happy. The material is slick and the belt will get lost since it's not attached. The easy solution is to simply put a few stitches in the inside of the belt loops to attach the belt. Voila! No lost belt. I'm a size 10 and the Medium fits perfectly with room for sweaters. It is not tight in the hips, and when it is belted it gives a feminine shape. The rich pumpkin color is very attractive. For our Virginia weather which can go from 32 * to 55* in two days, this is a perfect jacket. For really cold days with blustery winds I'll count on my shearling jackets, but this jacket will get a lot of use.
