Perfect jacket for my upcoming European Fall trip
Wanted something lightweight, versatile and water resistant for an upcoming trip to Northern France. This jacket fits the bill perfectly. Flattering and true to size. Looks great belted, which is often not the case.
Living in Georgia and Florida, this will be my favorite winter jacket, for sure. As other readers have said, doubt it would keep you warm in a true winter climate, but it will be perfect for winter in the South.

Huge and shapeless
I was so excited to finally receive this jacket. I got the hip-length version in the black, and the longer version in the khaki. Wow! What a huge disappointment! I found the arms really loose and the collar, when sitting flat looked like a Peter pan collar on me. I also didn't notice the little buttoned military style flaps on the top of the shoulders. I am 5'6" and around 150lbs, and based on the other reviewers comments, I ordered size smalls in both items. Both looked really shapeless and I felt a bit dumpy in them. What I did like was the lightweight fabric. I was looking forward to wearing the jackets in both spring and fall in Toronto but instead I will be returning them. The picture is a bit misleading...

Runs big. Good weight.
Like the weight & length. I'm 5.5/140 and had the following fit issues with the Medium: sleeves too long. Body very baggy (I don't plan to wear bulky clothes under it - I want it for layering under a rain coat), belt which I wouldn't wear is too low. I'm reordering in small. I never wear small so it'll be interesting to see fit.
Length pretty close to the "jacket" version - I guess that's a con for the jacket while expected for this item.

I had absolutely no need whatsoever for this jacket; but when I saw it on line and on sale, I had to try it. It is so lightweight and the khaki color is fabulous for travel in the fall or spring. I love the look with the belt. As I have a small waist, this jacket is very attractive. All my dory jackets are very practical; but don't have much of a shape. I haven't worn this one yet, as it is too hot in Miami right now... but come September, I will be taking it with me to Italy.

I like this overall, but...
It is a nice light weigh jacket- good for spring or fall, when weather 40-50 degrees. It is stylish and would be easy to take in a suitcase. I have washed this only once and several areas of the quilted stitching is already coming out. Very disappointed in that......I expect more from LE clothing. I do like it overall.

Great Jacket for Travel
I love this jacket. It's warm but very lightweight. It'll be great for when I travel since it will pack down to almost nothing. The sizing runs true to size and the regiment navy color is very nice.

I really liked this jacket - very chic looking, and seems well made. However, it's cut big (vanity sizing). I am 5'9" and 145 lbs with an athletic build, and normally wear 4-6 and small in everything. I was swimming in the small in this jacket. Chest, shoulders, sleeves, hips, everything was too big (and sleeves were strangely too long, even on a tall person like myself). Sending back.

I got this coat for a trip to the UK--rainy and mid-40's. It was just right (not to mention surprisingly in style. I saw similar quilted black coats and jackets everywhere!) It did repel rain, and it kept me warm. It is roomy enough for a sweater underneath. I especially liked two elements: the shoulder epaulets have working snaps which allowed me to use the epaulets to secure a big scarf. The sleeves also have working snaps, and when it got a little warm, I tied the coat around my waist and snapped the sleeves to each other--voila! No need to retie the coat, and no slipping off. I also liked the snap front, which let me open the bottom when I was in the car. I did find that the belt was superfluous--didn't even take it on the trip. It is slippery, and I thought I would always be losing it unless I kept the coat tightly belted, which I didn't want to do. Last thing: it packs really small. Come to think of it, that is probably why it doesn't have that "puffer coat" look.

I LOVE this jacket!
I purchased this at the last minute for a trip I was going on as the weather was expected to be cool. I got the khaki as it is a dressier look. The jacket has no weight to it, yet is very warm . I have been comfortable from upper 20s (with sweater) to 50s. It is so comfortable and good looking. I plan on getting another color. The size seems true, but the sleeves are a little long.

This is a great jacket. I had to send back a heavier down jacket because the zipper gave-out. I was afraid this wouldn't be as warm. It isn't as warm but its so much more comfortable to wear. It is very light weight with no bulk and the length is good for driving in. I don't think I'd trust it alone in 5* weather but its being perfect at 20* (I'll add a fleece under for colder). Great coat
