Lightweight but very warm
Living in extreme weather conditions in Newfoundland ,Canada I love light weight coats that are really warm........this coat fit the bill perfectly. It was so light and warm that I ordered a second one. Since I lost a bit of weight I ordered the tall xl and the fit was perfect for me. Thanks Landsend.

Like borrowing your Dad's coat... not in a good way.
I love Lands' End coats, but I sure hate this one. Doesn't it look cute in the picture? I can't imagine how much fabric they must have cinched in the back to make it look like that. I'm a curvy/fit 5'9", with an hourglass figure. I usually wear a size 8/10. I ordered a medium in Rich Pumpkin. This coat reminds me of borrowing a big, square, men's hunting jacket from my Dad, and tying a belt around the middle. It looks gigantic. The bust and shoulders are exactly the right size and the rest of the coat just flares out from there. Really weird fit, also extremely lightweight fabric. I have no idea how this could actually be warm. It's going back.

I ordered this jacket in black, XL, tall. When it arrived I thought it was too lightweight to be warm enough on cool/cold days. Wrong. This is a great jacket; warm, rain proof, and Wind resistant. The tall allows the sleeves to come just below the wrist and the fit is perfect. The jacket is stylish and I have worn it every day while on vacation.

Nice jacket, lightweight and warm
I purchased this jacket online during a promo sale at 30% off. When I received it I was really surprised it was so thin. I read from other feedback that it was lightweight and it REALLY is. However, it has been unseasonably cold here in Houston and it's been perfect. Our temps today did not get above 40 (strange for this time of year) and although the jacket is thin, it kept me nice and warm all day. I like that it looks tailored and a good-with-everything look. For girls that have a smaller waist, you can cinch in the waist with the belt, which I like but hang on to the belt because it's not sewn on. I had to knot it to the loops so I wouldn't lose it. Size wise, it's on the roomier side. I purchased a Petite Large, and it's more than ample. I think it'll be okay because I can wear it over a sweater and not feel like it's too tight.
All in all, it good especially for the $$. I recommend it to someone who is seeking something in this style.

Love this jacket!!!
I have been looking at this jacket on-line and was concerned about some of the comments I read here. I went into my local Sears store to see if the jacket was there. Yes, it was!! I tried it and loved it. It fits perfect! I purchased it in black because it will coordinate with so many other colors. Today in North Carolina, our temperatures are in the 20's and I wore this jacket. Very lightweight, yet very warm. This jacket will also be great for traveling. It is not big and bulky and will not take up so much room if you try to pack it or carry it across your arm.

very stylish and lightweight
Just LOVE this jacket! The color, style and size are perfect. (I got the orange one -- which is a beautiful pumpkin color.) It's surprisingly light and provides about the same warmth as a high quality sweater. So if you're looking for a little style and a pop of color, this is it. If it's only warmth you are seeking, you might want to get a heavier jacket.

Great for Fall
This jacket fits well and is just warm enough. I am 5'4" tall and generally wear a size 8. In this coat, I wear a small. The jacket is a bit short waisted, which for me fits well.

Great jacket for mild to cold temps
I am a size 16 so I ordered a 1X, wanted room to layer with sweater, size is perfect for this. I live in Seattle and a typical winter day is in the low to mid 40s and some drizzle. Don,t think I'll use the belt, kind of wish it had a hood, even just a light wt one would be good.
I ordered the pumpkin color, and love it, I love the length of the jacket as well. Sleeves are too long but this a problem I deal with all the time....short arms! Nice deep pockets too.

Perfect light coat for mild weather
I've been trying to find a coat like this in a plus size for a long time: something that's good quality without costing a lot, looks nice, is rain repellant, good color, and I like quilting. Finally, this is the coat. It arrived on Saturday morning and I opened the box, put it on and wore it out the door to go shopping. It's perfect for mild days. It's not bulky. The color is a good deep pumpkin. If it came in a hunter or olive green I would order another one. Nice plus is the velcro-closed pocket inside. Snaps are a relief after so many coats with buttons. Love the snaps on the cuffs. The sleeves are long, as some reviewers have noted, but they cuff up nicely, even more so when you open the snaps. And the whole thing rolls up and fits in a tote bag. Yes, I like this product a lot!

I am completely satisfied with this coat. It is a thin, lightweight jacket that adds just the right amount of warmth. The weather has been down in the 40s in the midwest, and this has been all I have needed to wear. What I love about it is that it keeps me warm outside, but doesn't get hot inside the stores while shopping and running errands. To me, it is the perfect coat. Regarding the style, it is very flattering. I'm tempted to buy it in another color, that's how much I like it.
