Women's Quilted Insulator Jacket
Nice with a couple of reservations
I ordered this jacket at full price based on the shaping, the length and the style. It fit true to size for me (PXL) and I liked that it had nylon lining in the sleeves - so much easier to put it on over a sweater or fleece. I have only started wearing this since the beginning of April - it just wasn't warm enough for our Canadian winter, especially this year (I've been in head-to-toe LE down for the last 5 months). There are 2 things that bother me about this jacket, though: the snaps are too far apart allowing cold breezes to get in, and the slash pockets have no depth and are useless unless you have a large set of keys to weigh the pocket down. I was willing to put up with the pockets until one of my favourite leather winter riding gloves disappeared somewhere between the bank and my car. Oh well, lesson learned.

fabulous if you get the size right
this review is really in response to the one below mine as I'm also 5'9", weighing about 165 lbs. I had ordered this jacket in L, thinking I didn't want it to be too small. When it arrived, it fit like the lady from Canada is stating. It was just too big. Thankfully, the jacket fit a friend of mine perfectly so I knew what it should look like. She took it and I ordered me one in M in navy again and another one in pumpkin that was on the NQP counter for a lot less. Both jackets arrived yesterday and fit perfectly. They are soooo light, yet warm. They'll be great for travelling also. Just throw on in your luggage and your weight allowance won't go up.

Very disappointing fit, not as shown on model
I had been waiting to get this jacket all season and couldn't wait to start wearing it when it arrived last week. Sadly, the jacket fit more like a big, shapeless barn coat than the stylish little jacket shown on the model. At 5'9", I was thrilled to see this jacket offered in a Tall as I often have trouble with jacket sleeves being long enough. I ordered a Tall Medium as I'm a solid size 12/M in LE clothing. The Pumpkin colour was beautiful and the quality of the jacket was excellent, but the fit was nothing like I expected. The sleeves were plenty long, no complaints there, but the whole jacket was so shapeless, it seemed a size too big. I'm in my 40s and was hoping for the chic little jacket shown in the photo, but instead found it very dowdy. I have other outwear from LE (two fleeces and two trench coats, and have tried on many other styles), and I've not had a problem like this before. I'm reluctant to risk ordering the Tall Small in case the shoulders/armholes are be too tight and then I'd have to pay to ship another jacket back.

Had to return... too small overall...factory mis-sized?
I would have liked this except for out of sync size.

Comfortable, lightweight, versatile jacket.
I ordered this on a whim and was very pleasantly surprised. I think it looks better than the pictures. Lightweight but cosy. Love the double pockets with secure flaps plus side pockets so I can slouch around with my hands in them. Dress down to walk the dog but smart enough to wear with tailored outfits. I bought the NQP and can find nothing wrong with it. I don't find it boxy at all, but that might just be my shape :) Just one warning, the Cherry colour is a very bright red, not the darker red of my computer picture.

Love this jacket- buying several more !
Living thru the NE winter this year I am just pulling out this jacket now for spring and WOW. Yes it is boxy- good for layering a sweater underneath and sleeves seem a bit loose- but for hauling around and stowing in a tote- it sure beats lugging around the mall or events a heavy coat !! Great for spring or fall weather and in my part of the country usually some of the winter. You can get I will get a couple of more jackets at this price !!

Lightweight and surprisingly warm!
I was delighted with this little jacket and amazed that something so light could be so warm. I read the other reviews, and ordered a medium instead of my usual large and am pleased with the fit. As noted by others, the sleeves are a little long, but not overly so, and also, the body of the jacket is a little boxy, not fitted. But that's what I like, so it's fine. The stitching is absolutely beautiful and the double pockets on each side are useful and conveniently placed. And given that this jacket is as light as a feather, I was amazed at how warm and cozy it feels. I'm completely pleased with this purchase.

It does run a little big
I like it, though. You want a jacket in a larger size if you plan to wear things underneath it. That said, the cherry is really more like an orangey tulip… I like it, very springy. The styling is super cute and slimming. If there were more of a color range I'd buy another one!

The NQP Version
I ordered this jacket in khaki from the NQP dept. (oil stains which I couldn't detect.) I was willing to forego perfection for a better price––I plan to wear this at the barn. Pros: Quite warm, yet light. Nice stitching and colour. Flattering shape in back, as it flares out. Cons: Strange fit around the front; jacket kind of blouses out to a narrower hem. Flap pockets billow out; slash pockets underneath create bulk. But the horses don't seem to care ;)

The medium was a perfect fit for me. I'm 5'6" tall and weigh 145. The jacket is warm, but not bulky. It's just what I needed for our southern winters. I like to layer and with this jacket I can do that without a lot of bulk. I ordered the navy. The style is very fashionable.
