Women's Ponté Boatneck Flock Dress
TOO small in bust and sleeves, needs zipper
I have ordered other XS clothes from LE and they have fit well, however this XS dress fits very differently. I could hardly get it on or off it is so tight and has NO zipper. I am 5'5" and weigh 118 but this dress was far too small for me. LE please lets get the sizing consistent. I had to return it even though it is a beautiful dress.

Tight in the sleeves and bodice
I usually wear a Lands' End petite 6 and ordered this in a petite small (6-8). I am 5' 2" and 120 (muscular) lbs. I do not have a disproportionately large chest or biceps but as other reviewers have noted the sleeves are cut very tight and the bodice is snug resulting in a strange look. The fabric and construction are lovely but because of the sizing I returned it.

Wanted to love it, not right for me
I had high hopes for this one and was really happy to get it on sale. I have purchased other LE dresses in this cut and they have been really flattering. This one is very pretty and very well constructed. The fabric is a little less stretchy than other ponte dresses, and the fit around the shoulders and upper arms felt constricting (and I have very small shoulders and arms, often LE clothing is too large for me in that area). However, at the lower back on me there was an excess of fabric causing funny ripples. Lastly because I'm 5'4" the pattern -- though very very pretty -- just didn't work on me. It overwhelmed my frame and also seemed a little matronly. I think on a younger person it would hit the perfect note of vintage flare, but on me it just didn't work. Sad to send it back.

I got this and the cap sleeved velvet sheath. Both are beautiful and well made. I appreciate the Tall sizing! This waist, like the sheath, hits at my waist and is an appropriate length! Please continue with the Talls! I love LA dresses - but often need a few extra inches in the arms, length, and waist!

Dressy and Elegant
I just love this dress. I've been buying XS Lands End summer knit dresses recently, but based on the reviews I decided to order the S and that was totally the right decision. I'm currently doing the 5:2 diet, so hoping to lose a bit of flubber, but even though this dress fits beautifully now I think it will still look good when I've lost a few kilos. Like others have said, the sleeves are pretty snug, but not a problem for me, thankfully. To the person who thinks this dress needs something more, may I suggest a pair of sparkly earrings or a classic crystal or diamante necklace.

Wanted to love it...
The quality of this dress is great, and I love the print. But it just didn't quite work. The "slightly raised waist" was closer to empire on me and did not flatter my waist. I am petite (5'2"), medium build (130 lbs) and large busted (36D), and ordered the petite medium. The fit was great, except for the waist being too high (about 2" above my narrowest point). I am going to try the regular medium, in the hopes that the waist is lower, but then I'm sure I'll have to hem it.

Fantastic silhouette for my curvy shape
I was a little nervous about ordering this dress at first, but I am SO GLAD that I did! I am a classical singer, so I am always on the hunt for a dress to wear to auditions, where the attire kind of rides the line between dressy-business and cocktail. The main concern that I had when I ordered this dress is that the fabric would be too casual, too cotton-y, too daytime, but I ordered it anyway, knowing that Lands' End is always great about returns if necessary. The dress is a PERFECT silhouette for me (I'm 5'5" with an hourglass shape, generally wear an XL/0X...ordered XL in this one) and the skirt is such a great cut. The fabric, which is sturdier than some of the cotton dresses I've had from LE, but not stiff, drapes beautifully, flattering my hips without giving them extra unwanted volume. There are some other reviews that the arms are too tight, but I found that the arms were a perfect fitted size, and I have reasonably full upper arms. The dress is just beautiful, and I could definitely see it being dressed down enough to wear to an office, or else I plan to dress it up and wear it to my auditions. I plan to wear it with a skinny black belt, which I think dresses it up. Without the belt it's definitely more casual.

Simple dress got compliments
Fit was excellent for me, fabric very nice, but needs lining even if it adds to price. With a full petticoat is fine - so I had to go out and shop for one of those.

Very pretty, but hard to get on and off
I love this dress. Tried it on in the Land's End Sears, and didn't expect to like it as much as I do. It is very flattering, once you get it on. My only complaint about it is that it would work much better with either a back or side zipper, as the arms/shoulders are somewhat constricting (not bad when you're wearing the dress, but I had trouble getting in and out of the dress!).

Dress is nice, but needs little something to it
I am 5"4' and 116 pounds, the dress was little to lose on me. I am fairly small in the chest. I had to take in on both sides about 3/4 '. The material is very nice, thick, the dress fits very well. Except in my opinion it needs something to it. Like a belt, or maybe if the sleeves would be short or elbow length. On the model, she has short hair and this style fits her. Pretty dress, but for a holiday/party look, need to add something, not sure what.
