Women's Ponté A-line Skirt
nice style but tight in the waist
I loved the drape and the length of this skirt. Some A-lines are very wide and can be unflattering.
Not this one. I tried it on in the store and loved it, except the waist band was way too tight.
I left the store thinking: egads! Must go on diet...
I was relieved to come here and read that others noted the same thing with the tight waist. I tried on a small. There was not a medium to try in comparison. Rats.

X-Small has very tight waist.
I usually take a size 2 or 4 in LE skirts but this one was unusually tight in the waist and had that "gappy" look of an elasticized waist. Had to return. Otherwise, nice heathered blue.

Unhappy with quality
I purchased this skirt a couple of years ago in the vicuna. The color made it a nice fall and winter skirt. However, this year I have worn it a couple of times and the skirt is pilling horribly. I knew it was sort of iffy last year, but it seems to be accelerating it's own demise! I like the cut of this skirt, enjoy the weight of the fabric and the drape, but the fuzzy pills make it look cheap. I have worn the same sport knit skirts for 4-5 years and they retain their good look. So disappointed in the quality of this item - I bought it full price and it just didn't hold up.

TIght elastic waistband
I usually wear a petite medium, but ordered the petite small, based on reviews. The skirt fit through the hips but was uncomfortably tight in the (elastic) waist. Returned it for a petite medium, which was too big through the hips and still too tight in the waist. I am pear-shaped, 5'2", 139 lbs., and my hips are definitely larger than my waistline. The fabric is good quality, and the skirt has a nice drape, although it was a big longer than I expected. But the tight waist was a deal-breaker, so back it went.

Shorter than expected
Wish I could have gotten this in a tall. I'm 5'8" and would have liked it about an inch longer. Otherwise, nice skirt that can be dressed up or down.

Great fit! Classic styling.
Lovely and practical. It covers the knees and is sooo comfortable. Good color. I expect to get lots of wear out of it for the fall/winter/spring. A classic!

Good feeling and good looking, but far too big for declared size. One shall consider buying at least 1 size smaller to fit.

Comfy and great looking
I loved this skirt! The material is substantial yet very comfortable. It does not wrinkle and hangs well. I'll be able to wear it now (in warm Georgia) and add tights and boots when it gets cold. Also can dress it up or down. Fit just as I expected.

Good For Cooler Weather
This skirt is a heavier weight fabric that I will wear in cooler weather. I prefer cotton blend skirts in hot weather.
The fabric is substantial and resists wrinkles. It launders well and dries quickly.
I am 5'3" tall and the skirt length is below mid calf on me.
The waist band is comfortable, but not as comfortable for me as "no waist" bands that are on some of my older skirts.
I would have tried the Sport Knit skirt, but believed it would be too long. I don't sew and didn't want to spend the money to have it hemmed.

I bought the black skirt at our local store. It is a flattering cut and the fabric quality is thicker than those I have from other stores. Looks great with any top for work. I would recommend it!
