Women's Plus Size Stretch Chino Skirt
Good All Around Skirt Though Boxy
This is a good all around casual skirt and sure has the quality missing in other similar skirts, but it is still boxy which has been one reason I have hesitated to buy a chino skirt in the past. I have found that you have to wash something like this to get the true picture of how it falls and so I will wait to see what I think then. They do run small but I will probably keep it as the cost to return it would nearly wipe out any credit since it was on sale.

I love this skirt! I live in Hawaii and need cool and comfy as well as neat for work. This skirt is perfect. I am 5'6" hits right at the knee, skims over my wide hips slimming me. I own it in white, turquoise and iron grey. Ready to order another. I wear it with your drape neck tees.

I purchased this skirt in 3 colors - I dislike wearing shorts so I need skirts for work and everyday wear during the summer! I am 5'7" and these hit me EXACTLY at the knee which is perfect for me - the hem hits at the smallest part of my leg so it is very flattering. The fabric is not flimsy nor is it too stiff and i love the plain styling of this skirt - it makes it more versatile. I can wear it with a nicer top for work and switch to a tank top or tee shirt when I get home. It's neat, classic and comfortable - I am so pleased I purchased 3!

The skirt is listed as 24 inches. I just got it and measured it with a tape measure and it is 22 inches. Two inches makes it above my knees and unacceptable for work, which is what it was purchased for. Where is the quality control? What a waste of my time and money. I'm so disappointed I probably won't buy again!

Excellent Skirt for 'Curvy Women!'
I picked up one of these skirts just hoping that it would fit my:
1 - plus size
2 - short body
3 - smaller waist
4 - more hips
& it lived up to all of these & more. The sizing is a bit off as far as consistency in length ... but otherwise perfect for me at least. I have a smaller waist, ample hips & rump - short legged. I ended up buying 8 of these as one of my new 'go to's!' I haven't had the problems that were described as 'wrinkly.' I followed the outlined washing instructions [ cold water ] & I dried them at a low heat for less time then hung them. No problems whatsoever! The ONLY issue I have is as said prior, the length. I am short. No two ways about it - short! My legs are shorter than most. This skirt doesn't come to the knee as in the photo. It rather is a few inches above. I would have preferred knee length but if that's the only issue, it's all good. Travels well, wears great in all types of weather. I wore the heck out of mine while attending a tennis tournament in 90+ degree weather and cool evenings. No issues. The waist having that small bit of elastic makes it easy to look more fitted w/o having that 'waist bunch' that tends to happen to those of us that do have this type of shape! Bravo LE ... wish you extended the length as advertised but that's it! Bring this back in more standard colors!

This is way too big & looks like it fell out of the hamper. Going back because I don't like wrinkly clothes & expect better from Lands End.

Poorly constrcted, especially the waistband. Fabric wrinkles badly.
I usually take a regular 14 skirt, but ordered the plus size since it seemed to be exactly what I wanted. I'm not sure I'll keep it. The way the waistband is worked is very lumpy, with too many layers of fabric sewn together. It's large in the waist for me. The side elastic inserts make make matters worse as they cause the skirt to bunch up and pucker over the hips and rear. Two pockets in the back are large, making it impossible to alter the skirt using center back seam without removing them, as they would be too close together. With the bunching caused by the side elastic, it feels like padding. I'm not sure it's worth the cost extensive alterations, as the fabric wrinkles badly when I sit. I wish manufacturers would stop relying on spandex and elastic to make things fit and try cutting & tailoring. Overall, not a good value for the money.

24" is not 25"
Over the years, this skirt (in all of its many conservative colors) has been my wardrobe staple. It is perfect for corporate casual days and weekend outings. It travels well and requires little ironing. The cut, even with side pockets, is quite flattering. The fabrIc and color last forever. I opted to add a happy yellow color to my collection and loved the color: It's more lemon than it appeared on my monitor...a perfect color to welcome Spring. However, when I was seated, its 24" length became apparent and was deemed unacceptable. I had assumed (yes, I know) it would be the same length as the others. My mistake: the other skirts are 25". It is being returned.
So the caveat is reflected in the title. Otherwise, I would have given this skirt an "Excellent" rating.
