Women's Plus Size Petite Exhale? Tummy Control Straight Leg Stretch Chino Pants
comfortable but flair leg
All the lands end psnts i ordered had to be sent back. All were comfortable but all made me look like a sailor. Fflair even when labeled straight. I rely on lands end. They have been getting it wrong lately. They do so much right. Id buy from them for life if thed just stick to their tried and true formula. Cotton well made hemmed to size correct description and honest loyal reviews and customers.

Women's Plus Size Exhale? Tummy Control Straight Leg Stretch Chino Pants
Overall I love these pants. There are some things I am not thrilled with that I'll mention later, but not deal breakers. It is very difficult to find plus size tall casual work pants that fit and look nice. These fit the bill.
The fabric is very soft and slightly heavy. Almost too heavy, but that's nothing to complain about! They wash nicely. I do not dry any of my clothing so I cannot speak to shrinkage or fading. The pants may require ironing, although I just use a spray wrinkle release because I hate ironing.
I did not order by the Lands End size chart. If I had the pants would have been two sizes too big. I ordered a 20 hemmed to 33-3/4" in khaki, navy, black. They all fit slightly different, but overall I am happy with all three pair. I have an athletic build with big thighs & hips and a smaller waist I normally wear a 20, but these are slightly big. But I ordered an 18 in another style, still a fit 2, and they are too small so I'll keep these 20's and belt them. I don't love the hook & button closure- it doesn't sit flat. The descirption says straight leg, which to me means straight from knee to ankle. But these are slightly tapered. Not my favorite fit for a plus size gal but I'm not going to quibble.
One thing to keep in mind: Lands End hemming is always messy. Not quite straight and often there is bunching. Just get used to it- no one really notices anyway.

I've been buying Lands End pants for over a decade, and these just didn't live up to my expectations. I have the stretch twill Fit 2 shorts and I adore them, so I thought these might be the same but with the "tummy panel".... first of all, I took the advice of the other reviewers and I DID size up... good thing too, because my regular size never would have fit (I am plus sized, "apple" shaped, big belly which has accommodated 2 pregnanies, and flat rear end) and they do cinch in the waist which is somewhat flattering, but again this is a bigger size pant than what I typically wear from LE, and also bigger than my stretch twill Fit 2 shorts that I so adore which fit perfectly. Makes no sense. Also, the material felt cheap. Supposedly the same stuff as my beloved shorts, but... it didn't look or feel like it. And finally, although they are "straight leg," it looks like more of a taper to me. Or maybe I'm just used to bootcut. Anyway they do run small, and mine are going back. Really wish LE would go back to carrying plus sizes in Sears. But, like so many other companies, they must be ashamed to do so. Sadness.

Good fit but needs ironing
I am very careful with laundry, but these pants really need ironing no matter how they are laundered. The fit is true to size. They are comfortable. As long as you don't mind ironing or wrinkles, buy these.

Is not true to size. I need to return for a larger size.
The item itself is fine you need to tell consumers that it is not true ti size and should order one size up.

Pants are comfortable but need ironing.
I personally prefer pants w/crease. These pants require ironing regardless of the crease issue. With all of todays technology I don't know why all quality pants can't be almost iron free. Pants I purchased several yrs. ago from Lands End required only a touch up of the crease. I am disappointed in that aspect. I can't judge the color fastness or durability of the fabric at this point. I had purchased white, black and navy colors.

Seams tearing out in two pairs of these pants.
I ordered a pair of these in black and loved them so much that I ordered another pair in the brown. When I wore the brown pair I heard a seam tearing even before I left the house. I checked them and there was a seam tearing out along the seat. So I checked the black pants, just in case, and the seam on the black pair is tearing out in the same area. I am very disappointed because I loved the fit, price and style of these pants. But I've never had pants rip along the seat like both of these have.

Recommend with Caution
These are nice every day chino's. I struggle with finding stuff that fits around my wide middle without being too baggy in my thin legs. I took my measurements to be SURE I ordered the right size as these are expensive by my budget even on sale. I ordered the size LE says I should and sure enough, they are too big! Trust your gut and order your normal size. Now I have to pay to get these tailored which defeats getting them on sale. At least getting them prehemmed means I don't have to pay for that twice.

The fit on these is ok, just a little short in the stride for my build. The navy fabric is not quite the quality that I'd like, they look worn right out of the bag.

Great Fitting Pants
I have these pants in several colors and leg styles. They are comfortable and feel great. I like that they can be hemmed for the perfect length. I'm tall and always have trouble with pant length. I love the new fall colors, wish I had enough places to go to buy them all.
