Women's Plus Size Luxe Wool Swing Coat
Love this coat!
I love this coat! It is thick and warm, fits nicely in my regular size, and is comfortable to move in with the raglan sleeves. I never get along quite so well with normal sleeves so glad to have found this. I got the Garnet color, which is a bright, true red - perfect for winter!

A little 'different' but I kind of like it
Not 100% in love with this, mostly to do with the rounded shoulders and the too-long sleeves. On the other hand, it's nice to have a short coat in a color that's not black (I got the purple) and in a style that's not a pea coat. Got this using the magnificent 25% off code, so for the price? I figure I'll live with the sleeves & shoulders. Sleeves aren't horrendously long and this whole coat is a little, well, swing-y, so they seem to work out whenever I cross my arms or put my hands in my pockets. I'd say for the price this coat is likely to be for the remainder of its run, you can't lose.

I really wanted to like this coat but the red was redder than I expected & kind of big in the shoulders, so I ordered one size down in purple but something not quite right in the fit for me, again in the shoulders, so I returned both. It's a really nice fabric & I didn't find the back pleat to be a problem, but again, the coat just wasn't a good fit for me. It's a great price for a good coat if you can wear it!

Runs a little small through the shoulders
Good length, good fabric, but was a little tight through the shoulders with a heavy sweater underneath.

Luxe Wool Coat is a great coat.
The softness is a lovely, luxurious touch. The cut of the sleeves is very flattering and comfortable. It is warm, and the fabric breathes. You can actually wear winter clothing underneath and still not look stuffed into it. I'll be getting the sleeves shortened, but otherwise I won't change a thing. The camel color is a tiny bit too orange-y to look really haute, but it's not so bad that I would send it back. If the color was a bit more subtle, I'd give it a 5.

This coat is perfect in size and color
I was very inpressed wirh this jacket. It is much nicer in person. Plus I was very impressed with the way Lands End shipped it. It was in a flat box, the coat was in plastic and folded in half. So I did not have any wrinkles when I took it out of the package. They also gave me a hanger for it. I am always pleased with the products I have sent for.

Beautiful, soft, warm
I am VERY satisfied with this coat! It is fashionable, soft, and warm. After reading other reviews, I bought the next larger size, but this was unnecessary - now I have a slightly over-large coat that will more than allow for bulky winter sweaters. But I find that the coat is so warm, the extra layers are not necessary. The garnet color turned out to be closer to tomato-red, but it is still a lovely coat.

my seamstress aunts heartily approve
I wanted a really nice winter jacket for a change - something less sporty or puffy than what you usually find in Upstate NY - and purchased this swing jacket in bottle green, a lovely, saturated, dark green that goes with just about anything. My aunts were professional seamstresses and they gave the jacket the once-over; it received two thumbs up! It is well-constructed, super warm (really important up here in snowland!), and fits easily over a sweater. It is so soft and cozy sometimes I wish I did not have to take it off inside.
Lands End scored a home run with this one, and so did I for finally succumbing to temptation.

I ordered this lovely coat in a 20X and 18X. It runs large so order at least one size down. It was soft and shapely. The vicuna color was a gold/yellow/brown that I loved. Nice buttons and pockets. It's a beautiful versatile coat. Although I returned it, I really liked it. This coat made it to the final two but lost. I begrudgingly returned it in favor of another coat I loved also.

I already reviewed this coat but since they e-mailed ME to review it again I shall...and this is my most esteemed position.. This is NOT what I expect from Land's End...the sizing is atrocious...I kept sending it back to get a smaller and smaller size (I am a BBW...Big Beautiful Woman) and still couldn't get it right. It most likely wouldn't have worked anyway because the pleat in the back is NOT for an ample posterior and the sleeves are just too weird. The material isn't so great either. NOW...that is not to say I don't love almost all of the other things I have ordered from Land's End. I have a lighter weight swing coat that they no longer carry (grrrrrr) that I just love and adore. It is kind of a felt material and not heavy but beautifully made and no pleat in the back...so it's tremendously flattering. Their swing rain coats are also above average!! Just know that the coat I reviewed is an "iffy" buy...buy some people thought it was great...so who am I to say? LOL!!
