Women's Fit 3 Sport Knit Pants
WAY TOO LARGE
I always wear a medium in pull up trousers. These, however, are way too large (felt like a XL). Suitable only for jammies in my opinion. The hem was very long and I would probably have tripped on them. Back they go.

Great for women who have pear shaped bodies
This review applies to the Plus sized version -- I see a lot of people complaining that these pants stretch and have a lot of room in the seat and thighs. THANK G-D! Yes these pants are a Fit 3 which means they were meant for me, a pear shaped woman who wants to mask her belly and thighs. I wear them everywhere. They hold their color, they stretch and they are soft to the touch. Not pants for apple shaped women or women who wanted a fitted pair of pants but pear shaped should just buy one size smaller than they think they should and they will be thrilled with their comfort level.

Baggy seat,baggy knees,huge in size
in previous years the sport knit pants were great. these are not the same. They stretch and stretch, the hips and waist are huge, the knees baggy. The fabric is too stretchy and does not hold shape. if you like frumpy baggy seat pants, then these are just that. lands end what happened to your great quality of previous years. Sad!

Thanks for all the great colors
I love sports knit! I wear the capris and shorts all summer long. I purchased two dresses and skirts for work and I use these as pj pants. I love the weight and feel of the fabric. They also look presentable if I am ready for bed and my teens come home with a friend or need to be picked up or the puppy NEEDS to go out. It truly is like sweatpants without the weight. I really enjoy all the colors and look forward to the additions each year.

Nice and Comfy
These are so comfortable and lightweight, but they are a bit oversized. I happen to enjoy a slightly larger fit, but many people like a perfect fit. The olive color is nice and neutral and should go with just about anything. I normally wear a size 1X but I wear an XL in these pants. I am giving 4 stars/boats because of the fit, not construction or materials.

Great Pants for Everything!!! Don't discontinue them like you did before!!!
These they are great pants.....period. I currently wear them to work, and I have worn them for years to work. I am in the education field, teaching from Jr. High to College, and they are always presentable, professional and comfortable. Most of the winter I wear a turtleneck, sweater and these pants. I go between buildings at the university and they keep my legs warm when it is very cold and snowy. The pockets are indespensible. They are needed for tissues, pens and keys. I am still wearing some of these pants that are at least 15 years old, but I bought some new colors, too, to add to my wardrobe and used the old ones on the weekend. I have replaced the standyby colors for work, too. I was very sad that you took them out of the lineup for a while, but glad that you brought them back. Don't discontinue them again, please. They are fantastic!!

Comfy, but won't wear outside house
I still miss the stretch knit pants that Land's End had for years - I lived in them, and had them in every color, and then one day I went to reorder and they were gone. The customer service rep suggested I try these as a substitute ... but they are not even close to the old style. The fabric pills and stretches out, the pants look frumpy from nearly the first time you wear them. The pockets are so bulky that they add the look of 5 pounds to your waist - which I can't afford, and they are droopy on the back side which is not a good look. I kept the pants and wear them around the house because they are comfortable - but they are not a good value when used this way.
I wish Land's End would bring back my old favorites. The fabric was the same as the new Starfish line, but the cut of the pants was just a bit more relaxed. They didn't have any pockets which was wonderful for a clean line and comfort - even the little zippered one on the Starfish line can tend to bunch up and is a bit too much extra fabric at the waist, and the zipper can end up sticking out or being uncomfortable. My old style came to the natural waist, and didn't pull too tight in the inseam. The waist band was similar to the Sport Knit Pants, with the elastic band only about 1 inch wide - where the Starfish Refined band is so wide that the top half tends to roll down, making it a bit more bulky and tight around the waist. They came in straight leg and boot cut. I've been looking for a replacement for the comfort and style of these pants ever since Land's End stopped selling them ... and I've yet to find anything that is as well designed for looks and comfort.
The Sports Knit has the comfort, but looks horrible. The Starfish Refined looks good, but is pretty uncomfortable when wearing all day. So I guess my search for the perfect pant continues.

24 hours, wherever sweats are worn.
I use a pale pair with a turtleneck and sweatshirt for pajamas, because it is cold in the northwest. They are that comfortable. I wear a colored pair for working around the house and garden (though they snag around the blackberries). They are soft cotton, with elastic waist that is not so tight that it hurts the back, as do many. The TALL is just right for someone entering the tall range, probably not long enough for someone 6 feet tall. I love the new COBALT color. I wish they would make a bright blue-torquoise now. I must admit that I buy them on deep sale, because $35 is a high cost to pay for housewear. They are not appropriate for wearing to town, because they hug the rear too comfortably.

Recommend if for only around the house
I have worn Sport Knit pants for years and loved them. Lately the fabric gets thinner and does not 'snap' back'. When it stretches, the stretch keeps getting bigger. Also, when washed they come out of the dryer wrinkled, the old ones did not. Lands End, when you have a great product, don't 'mess' with it!

I have no idea who these pants could possibly be made for
In a word? Horrible. The legs are short, the crotch hangs low, even if you pull them up to under your bra line; but then if you do, they aren't pants anymore, they're capris.
They stretch out within minutes of wear. Yes, minutes.
The only person I can ever imagine being able to wear these is someone is under five feet tall, with two foot long legs and a very long upper torso. It would help if they carried absolutely every ounce of their weight under their belly button.
This has to be have been the worst Lands End purchase I have ever made. These pants are not worth it at any price.
