Women's Plus Size Fit 2 Tapered Leg Stretch Chino Pants
Not the "skinny" look, but a flattering fitted silhouette
Usually I stay away from anything "tapered" to avoid emphasizing my plus size figure. I tried these on in the store and loved the fit: it's more like a straight-leg with a 30" inseam which is right at the ankle on me. So cute with flats! I got them in navy, black, walnut, and even a denim pair. They're not skin tight, more like fitted...so it's kind of like the trendy "skinny" pants without feeling overexposed. The only negative is that with 3% spandex, they get a little baggy in the seat by the end of the day.

Soft, beautiful color.
So thrilled to be able to get custom hemmed pants. Color is great, fabric is soft; I don't buy pants anywhere else. I'm 5'2" but my legs are long, rise is shorter than average -- hard to get pants that fit and feel good. Very happy with these -- came back for another pair.

These are the pants of my dreams. I used to wear nothing but Dockers, but they got rid of functional pockets and all their pants seemed to be low cut. I am a teacher and often need to have two room keys on me and to lift my arms high to write on the board. So when it came time to update my pants, I looked elsewhere and I am soooooo happy I did. Ladies REAL POCKETS!! THICK, SUBSTANTIAL material, a modest waist height!! Not to mention these pants are incredibly flattering to the curvy figure.
I do find LE's size 16 waist too small (hips fit just right) and their 16W waist too large (and hips just a smidgen too generous), but wearing a belt is a small price to pay (it's still too large after washing); this is my reason for 4/5 boats. Also, I do find it generally annoying that in the 21st century, this material isn't preshrunk. The fit was slightly smaller after washing, but in this case that was to my advantage.
I hope when I come back in the next year and half to refresh, these pants (especially functional pockets and irresistibly thick, soft material) will remain unchanged and there will be black, navy, and gray color options. I want a wardrobe filled with these.

PERFECT for me! so of course when it's perfect, they discontinue
These pants are so comfy all the way around but the BEST part is they don't make my calves look like elephant legs like LE trousers and boot cut pants. I don't wear boots or ballet shoes - i'm pretty much a Dansko clog and mule shoe girl - and don't like the flare at bottom of the other LE pants/trousers. Ankle pants - although they look pretty online - will be too short to wear in winter with regular shoes & socks. So...where do I go now? I wish LE paid attention to the reviews and what the customers want. I seriously would get a pair in every color (hello??? LE ... navy, light stone, rust, etc) to join my black and French walnut pairs.

Great fit and comfort
I agree with colsmom below. These pants are incredibly flattering. I have received numerous comments from co-workers. They are also very comfortable.

Lands End finally made a flattering plus size chino! I stopped ordering Lands End pants years ago because they bunch up around my hips and the legs are too wide. They always looked frumpy on me and reminded me of something my grandma would wear. I saw these online while shopping for my son and thought I'd give LE one more try. I'm glad I did because the proportions on these are perfect for me. I am petite plus and my belly is my biggest problem area, but my legs are well proportioned. These feel comfortable and look great and slimming. I wore them to work today and got tons of compliments for just a pair of chinos! My only complaint is that by the end of the day they were very wrinkled in the thighs/legs and started to look messy, but I can live with that. LE please make more colors!

Perfect casual pants
These are my new favorites!
The legs on these pants are perfect. Not too wide ( I grew up in the 80's and I just can't stand bell bottoms) but not too tapered so that they make your hips look huge. The material is thick so they drape well. My only bummer is that they ran out of black ones. I was only able to buy two brown ones. Please make more of these LE!!
They are perfect work pants. The hips/rise aren't too low or too high ( show me one plus sized woman who thinks low rise pants are a good idea for them and yet manufacturers keep making them)
Someone said theirs didn't wash well. I've washed them several times and they've come out great. No problems.

Great fit until you wash them.
Great fit, great feeling fabric but when I washed and dried them, they shrank approx. 2 inches in the length, I returned and reordered with an inseam of 34. Hopefully the new pants will shrink the same way and fit.

These pants taper nicely, but don't cling. I love how they can be hemmed to just the right length. I wear them to work with a nice blouse and dressy flats or Danskos. I also wear them on weekends with breezy shirts, and flip flops or sandals. They have a nice give but keep their shape. I have a pair in black and French Walnut! The price was amazing too!

great style, but inconsistent workmanship
This style is very becoming if you have an apple shape. The material is good, and the color selection was nice also. I also love the free Lands End hemming option, since I'm 5'5", but long waisted.
I have ordered these pants 3 times because of the style. The first time I returned them because the tapering in the outside seam wasn't straight--it had a noticeable bump along the outside edge of one leg. Nonetheless, I tried again, this time ordering 2 pair in different colors. The black was perfect, but the brown pair again had a tapering problem; this time the legs were not tapered as mirror images of one another.
