Women's Plus Size Elbow Sleeve Drapey Collared Drop Neck Tunic
Great top but there are some design flaws
I really do like this top but there are some design flaws a some other reviewers have mentioned. The collar of the shirt does not sit properly when you wear the shirt, so really serves no function other then look out of place. I think the one reviewer had a good idea about tucking it under, or just removing the collar of this shirt because it is out of place. The other issue is when you bend over, the fabric of the shirt drapes open so everyone can see the girls, so you may want to wear a cami underneath. I realized this one day at the dog park when I bent over to pet another gentleman's dog and realized that he could see completely down my shirt, I was really embarrassed, and at least he was a gentleman and did not say anything, but I knew he saw because he just smiled at me. (I never wanted to run away from a conversation so fast in my life! :-/ ) So, buyers be aware! The shirt is lovely otherwise, drapes very nicely, and makes your neckline look great upright ;-) , and it is a wonderful length as well. I think it is a wonderful piece for casual and a more dressy look as well. Overall I really do like this shirt and bought it in a few colors to have in my wardrobe, I am not sorry I purchased the item at all, I wish I would have been aware of the issue though when bending over, the collar issue is minor to me. I may be able to fix the other issue without affecting the drape of the neckline with a sewing technique, until then, be aware, and wear a cami! I know I will be :-) Happy Shopping!

Thinner than it looks
Runs large and material is thin. Hope it shrinks some in hot water.

Don't think the collar is a big deal
So, in my humble opinion, the collar on this shirt isn't that big of a deal for the price point. It actually helps to keep the drapeneck from hanging too low (although I did find I needed a cami underneath since it is lower than I feel comfortable with for work). Also, I have hair that is *just* to my shoulders that basically hides the collar. It was wrinkled in the packaging but it washes well-and looks nice on since it covers the tummy. I actually bought three and just ordered a fourth so I have one in every color. I work in a building that is always hot and this is perfect for the winter-light weight material and the sleeves roll up with tabs to keep them up.

Great feel, soft fabric, very comfortable. Collar a bit low in front, ridiculous collar in back. I bought this in 3 colors.
Purchased for new job substitute teaching in public schools. Great length to cover hips (I'm 5'9" and an apple shape). Soft, draping fabric is very comfortable. The collar in front is a little low for bending over to help students, so I wore a cami underneath and that worked well. So here's what I hate - the collar in back is ridiculous and unnecessary. It doesn't fit the style of the top at all, so I've ended up folding it under, which works just fine. I think I'll have that back collar removed, though. It's just plain silly looking. Fabric is heavy enough and not too sheer.
I bought this in three colors (on sale, never pay full price!) and would highly recommend it, if you can remove the back collar or are willing to tuck it under.

Great if you're willing to alter it
Like many other reviewers, I like this top now that I've taken off the ridiculous collar in back. The material is definitely on the thin side, but it's comfortable and the color is lovely (plum).

I gave this tunic such a harsh rating because of the fabric blend. The fit was great but the lyocell blend is thin, itchy, clingy, and hot. Just doesn't breathe like the cotton, rayon, spandex blend. Such a shame Lands End messes with a great thing. The last three years they changed the cut, now they changed the blend. Just go back 4 or 5 years to the quality that we all know and love...please!

The best top ever!
I can see why other reviewers have issues with the neck, and I do too, but since I'm handy with my needle it was easy enough to remove the collar part - then you have a pretty cowl neckline that is so flattering! I absolutely ADORE this top. I ordered dark green on trial, because I am not a Plus size (I ordered 0X) and I took in the slack a little as the material is super, super stretchy. That makes it an ideal top for layering and working in. I see a lot of reviewers on Lands End don't like these lightweight fabrics, but I for one am nuts about them. I need thin layers or I get overheated very easily, especially in offices where there's no fresh air or on the subway. This top is classy looking (without the collar) and I love the button-up sleeves. I ordered it in every colour except pink, and hope they make it in navy and black too, because it's so useful. If you like everything except the collar, just take it to a dry cleaner that does repairs and have them remove it! It's worth it.

If the collar was visible, I would not have purchased this shirt.
I second (or third) what everyone else has said. This shirt has a weird tailored polo collar AND a drapey neckline. You can't see the collar in the photo. If I had, I wouldn't have bought it. I like the weight and style of the shirt, but it was a disappointment that will be returned.

Too expensive to return
I would have returned this except the return shipping was almost what I paid for it. I HATE the collar. It would have been a nice shirt without it. It just looks--dumb. No other way to describe it.

Very light shirt that wears well. I like the choice of sizes.
