Rated 5 out of 5 by bigdogzog If You Have To Wear A Suit...
This one is the one to wear! I've purchased at least a dozen of these suits in every available color over the course of the last few years and wore them to work every day. Not only can you wash them, you can throw them in the dryer and they come out looking like you'd just spent $15 at the drycleaners! They are just conservative enough for a business environment, practically indestructible, look fabulous on, don't wrinkle, and don't need to be altered. I bought two pairs of pants for every suit jacket, so I could alternate between pants. My only recommendation to LE is to bring in some seasonal colors. Black, navy, and grey are great for everyday, but it would be nice to have some olive green, dark brown, or taupe to throw into the mix too!

Rated 3 out of 5 by JJismyname Good pants, strange fit
I own several pair of these pants because they match the very nice dress blazers that I wear to work.
Here's the deal, as I see it: the fabric quality (both shell and lining) is good and the cut is nice overall, but the fit is odd. As several other reviewers have noted: the size that fit well in the hips gave me waistlines so loose (by 4-5 inches in my case) that the pants slide down or fall off. (NOT a good thing when you're walking into a business meeting.) What compounds this problem is the lack of belt loops.
This is all fixable (although really, one shouldn't have to.) I had mine altered to take in the excess at the waist, and I since I had a couple of inches of extra fabric that were cut off the legs when I hemmed these pants, I used that fabric to create belt loops. Now the pants fit and look quite nice. (Note: waist alterations are not trivial and therefore are not cheap, so factor this possibility into the overall costs of these pants.)
One more note, if you habitually carry your cell phone in your pants pocket: I find that these have pockets that are deep enough (barely) to hold a large-ish phone, but the slippery pocket linings make it awfully easy for a phone to fall out when you sit. Just something to be aware of.
Bottom line: I like these and would recommend them, as long as people understand that for some of us, quite a bit of work may be involved in getting them to fit right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tigger18 will be nice dress pants for winter
A bit loose around the waist, but will otherwise be great dress pants for next winter. Love that they don't need dry cleaning.

Pants were lighter fabric than expected as they are wool. Fit was good. Best thing about these pants is getting them hemmed to my inseam for the correct fit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RoddiK Not what I expected.
They were much lighter weight than I thought they would be and also sit almost at the waist, not below it as advertised. I kept them because I needed a pair of black pants but I am not thrilled with them. I wish you would carry more pants like you used to without elastic waistbands. There are some of us that don't want or need that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by sonatasonnet strange proportions
I really wanted these pants, but the fit is strange. The hips fit, but the waist was enormous and the rise way too long. I would have had to roll over the waistband two or three times for comfort. Had to return them, sadly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BookLadyGran Wanted to love them but odd fit
I take either an 18W or 20W in Lands End trousers, depending on style and fabric. I tried these trousers in both sizes and neither one worked. The 20W was ok in the hips but huge by inches in the waist. The 18W was snug in the hips but still much too large at the waist. These pants may work for someone else but not for me the way they are cut at present. I am very disappointed because good looking, and washable, dressy pants in black (and/or navy) would have been a terrific addition to my wardrobe.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MCMBoomer nice material, but pockets pouch out
I bought a slightler larger pair and the pockets still pouch out. I'll wear them with long sweaters, since I had them hemmed for me, but I won't buy them again. The pockets need to be redesigned.
