Women's Modern Straight Boot-cut Pants
The fit was not good.
Colors are good, but the fit changes depending on the pant. I don't like that. You would need to try on each pair of pants to get the proper fit.

Uneven sizing; weird "flare" to thighs
I initially ordered the size 6 petite. I loved the way the pants fit through the thighs, but could barely get them buttoned. I returned the 6 and ordered the size 8 petite. The 8 was impossibly large. How could I barely get the size 6 buttoned, but the size 8 was so large in the waist that I have a huge gap in the back and can barely keep the pants up? The hips were also so large that I could pull out an inch of fabric on each side. Then, from the bottom of my hip to my knee tha pants flared out in a weird way. You know those riding pants people wear that flare out over the thighs? I think they are called Jodhpurs? That's what these pants did. How could the sizing and fit be so different between the 6 and the 8? How can I barely button the 6 but the 8 looks like it is several sizes too big? Love the pockets in the front rather than on the side. I WILL NOT buy another pair of pants with side seam pockets -- LE take note -- I WILL NOT!!! Just wish the waist in the size 6 had been a tad bit bigger or that the size 8 did not fit so very differently from the size 6. I almost thought that maybe I got a regular size rather than the petite or that I ordered a completely different pair of pants. Nope. I did not. The size 8 just fits like a completely different pair of pants.

Comfy but so flattering
These pants fit and would be fine if I were to wear something to cover my behind. They were comfortable and true to size. However, nobody wants, "Mom butt" and that is what these gave me. Needless to say, I returned them.

Not for me
I agree with another reviewer that these would be best on an apple shaped body. Since I'm more of a pear, they don't work for me. They're too big in the waist and too tight in the thighs.
Dear LE: PLEASE make good boot cut pants (to balance pear's hips) without pockets on the seams(Thank you we have enough bulk there!) with enough room in the thigh while still fitting our smaller waists!

Nice draft, needs some tuning
The waist/hip ratio is great for those of us with narrower hips, and being short-waisted, I appreciated the lower rise. Having a bootcut pant option is nice, too.
But there is still a curve out from thigh to knee that makes them look baggy on a straighter figure. And because, as others have noted, the fabric is a bit stiff -- the polyester is not of the drapy sort -- that curve sticks out. I also found the fabric uncomfortable on my skin just trying them on in warm weather.
Keep working on it, LE! You're on the right track.

Nothing like what I expected
I could not tell by the description or picture that for the length of the pants to fit correctly, the crotch had to hang low. This is uncomfortable for me and I found myself pulling the pants up all day which at my height, 5'11", made the pants legs too short. The material and workmanship are good as always. This cut is definitely not for me and I couldn't have known that before ordering this particular pair. I bought them for a casual black pants day's activity at work. Wish I could have known this before I wore them and was half-way to work.
I hate to give them away, but they are too uncomfortable to wear again.

Very low rise, fit small
As other reviewers have mentioned they have a very low rise, to the point they don't cover my backside. I normally wear 24s in plus size. I ordered 26s based upon the measurements and they are still very snug. I was excited to find plus size khakis in long lengths but was disappointed they didnt fit well.
Would be very cute if they fit!
Very short in the waist, crotch area. I have to wear a cami under my shirts to keep from showing my backside. Not sure that I will keep them.

didn't look so good
I returned these since the fit was very odd in the hip/crotch area. Honestly, I think it was just this pair may have been cut a bit funny.

Great Fit for Apple Shaped Women
So, I wanted to love these pants so much, but they're a mixed bag.
These pants fit fabulously if you are apple shaped- aka thick in the waist, flat behind, smaller in the legs. That describes me perfectly, so you'd think I'd absolutely love them. I do love the fit. It's great and Lands End should do more pants in this fit. I also love that the pockets are jeans style in the front and not on the side seam. Those make everyone look chubby. So, thank you for the awesome cut!
Unfortunately, the fabric leaves a bit to be desired. There's no stretch whatsoever in these pants and a tiny tiny bit of it would have made all of the difference in the world. The fabric is stiff. It drapes beautifully when you're standing but it's kind of a pain when you're sitting.
Land's End, please keep the fit on these pants and and adjust the fabric a bit. A bit of stretch would make these 5 star order them in every color pants.
