Women's Modern Rain Jacket
this jacket fit perfectly
I purchased this jacket on clearance and it fit perfectly. I love the flair cut, I am big busted and this coat was very flattering. The flair did not make my bust look larger which I thought it might. The fabric drapes nicely and is not stiff. I haven't had a chance to wear it in the rain, but I definitely intend on wearing it as an everyday jacket not just for rain! The mid hip length is perfect to wear with pants or even a casual skirt.

Balloons out worse than maternity jacket from SIDE view, so unflattering!
I really wanted to like this in khaki, and from the front view, it is classy. However, the SIDE VIEW is a different story; the cut is just NOT flattering and the cut & stiffness of the fabric maintains a pronounced poof. It balloons out below the breast area frontward and it balloons out backward from the shoulder blade area, so that front and back are permanently swung out in an unflattering poofy way. It is not only a look of being pregnant, but then the back swells out in much the same way. It's a hideous look and if you're really taking an honest side view, it cannot be ignored. A larger size would only make it look wider and worse. Uuuugghhhh!
Positive note: It is very well made and fabric crisp and classic. Just such a darn shame that it needs to go back:(

Tradition with a sassy flair
I have purchased my coats from Lands End for the past 25 years, and have never been disappointed. This one is no exception. This is a traditional Trench coat with a sassy flair. It is shorter, wider and has a bit of a swing. I purchased it in Khaki. I cannot wait to wear it.

Cute jacket, but snug arms
This is a very cute, well made jacket. Unfortunately the upper arm area is very snug. So snug that wearing a lightweight sweater would be uncomfortable. I ordered a PS and otherwise it is true-to-size.

Runs slighly big but a great look
Like other reviewers mentioned, it runs a bit big (I normally would order an XL but ordered the L). Besides the upper arm, around the armpit, sizing down was a good idea. The arm portion isn't a deal breaker but I do notice it's a bit snug. I ordered it in a navy and its a true navy. It fits me to my mid hip (I'm 5'3") and looks great. Great to wear to commute to the office. It's lined and has a some weight to it so it's not a summer rain jacket--better suited for the mid to late fall jacket. The pockets (side pockets) are a little shallow but I generally don't stuff things in my pockets so I'm ok. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase and would certainly recommend it.

Great Rain Coat!!!
I love it. I got the khaki, I would agree with other reviewers that the actual color is lighter than the color shown in the picture. The picture looks like a dark khaki, I would say it is actually a light khaki but this is what I wanted. I was looking for an good, all-around, neutral rain jacket for spring and autumn in New England and I definitely think this fits what I was looking for. The contrasting color on the flip side of the collar is red. The coat is very well made, nice details inside and buttons. As others have said, this is not a fitted coat, it is a swing jacket, but I think this is good for a rain coat as you can put a sweater under it on colder days and still feel comfortable. The drawback for many rain coats is you get sweaty from the humidity on a rainy day. I think the looser fit will help the jacket be more breathable. I did get a size smaller than I usually would order and it fits perfect. On the sleeves, at the wrist, there is an adjustment to make it tighter which is also nice. Overall a very nice jacket I would recommend, can't wait until it actually rains!

Great fit, color was whiter than advertised
I ordered the rain jacket in petite medium, eggshell white. Fit was perfect, no tugging anywhere. The jacket was well made, I'm sure it will last me a long time. The only fault is the color. It turned out to be whiter than in the picture, otherwise a great deal.

I bought this jacket size L color true khaki, I usually use 12 I'm hourglass shape and it fits me nicely. Not too wide or too snug.I have arms a bit more long and large shoulders and the sleeves fits me ok too. The back inverted pleats give it a stylish look and a comfortable fit. Fabric is sturdy but feel soft and resistant. Really great choice. I love this jacket.

I just received this jacket in Navy and love it! I tried it on and am very pleased with this modern classic. It is a bit generously sized, which I am fine with since it allows for layering. Plus I am large busted and sometimes need a size Large, but the size Medium fit me fine with just a touch of extra room. The sleeves were a bit on the long side, but the button tabs allow for tightening which is all it took to make them fit better. I love the shorter swing style - just a fun cape look. My teenage daughter gave it a thumbs up - so it is a keeper for me!

fits great thru the body, small in the upper arms and chest
I like the jacket, nicely made, nice material, the stone color is pretty much a winter white. The only problem is the upper arm under the armpit is tight, like so tight it is hard to wear anything but a lightweight shirt under it. I hope to lose weight so am keeping it although never having a garment be too tight in this area I'm not sure that will help LOL! I got the XL which is my normal size so I think it runs smaller in that area, or maybe I just got a goofy one.
