Women's Modern Plain Front 60/40 Blend Chino Trousers
Pants are nice but waist gaps
I have gained a little weight this year so I ordered a size larger than I have ordered in the past but like many others said the waist does gap quite a lot, as much as 2 inches maybe? Since they are boot cut the leg is more fitted than a standard slack so I would not be able to go down a size. I have short legs with very muscular calves so I thought the bottom being large wouldn't be an issue but I think the bottom of the slacks are larger than a boot cut. The length of the pants were just as I ordered but I do wish I had ordered the petite because they are higher in the waist like a fit 3 on me. I think because I was able to specify the length that it never occurred to me that the regular would be higher in the waist. I am just under 5'4 and normally wear petite or short length. Overall the quality of the pants are good, and the fabric is nice as well. I would prefer the waist smaller with some give/stretch as there is none so without the gap I'm not sure how comfortable they would be to sit in all day at work. I think these pants are built more for an apple shape than a pear but I"m keeping them and I'll just wear a belt to keep them up. Overall nice slacks LE just needs to do something about the waist.

Ran really really small
I love the fabric and the rise, but these were about a size or two smaller than the normal Lands End same size. I found it true with the matching jacket as well. I am exchanging for a bigger size, though, because I like them.

really wide legs
The legs on these pants are enormous, very wide from the hip to the hem. When you put them on it almost looks like you are wearing an ankle length straight skirt. Returned them.

Very unflattering shape
I consider myself a reasonably proportioned person. These pants fit well at the waist and through the hips, but it just gets worse from there. The legs are straight as described, but very wide, so wide that while I was wearing them, my daughter asked why I was wearing snow pants. Since I live in Canada and paid duty, it is not worth it for me to return them. I have taken them apart to sew the legs into a shape that is more appropriate for wearing to work.

This was purchased as a gift. Would have liked a true size 2, but the person they were given to was thrilled to have clothes that came close to her size. Bigger in the hips than what is shown in the picture.

Pants stand out but have a few design flaws
These pants are as described, a heavier weight that holds up to all day wear and the fabric drapes well but doesn't cling to show figure flaws. I am plus size w/an hourglass shape. My hips and bottom are significantly wider than my waist. I ordered the first time in my regular size and the waist/hip ratio didn't quite pan out. I went up a size and will need to wear w/belt. The waist band is really wide and has an inside lining for structure, which adds a little bulk (I think it will help them hold up better over time, but it is really difficult to work with brand new). There's also two hooks and a button for closure and it's almost like an iron maiden trying to get your pants done up. I think two plain buttons would have been much nicer and easier. The trouser cut is a little awkward. It starts as a trouser leg from the waist/bottom area and is very flattering to start but the leg narrows down quite a bit by the time it reaches the ankle. I prefer a wide leg trouser where the cuff is as wide as the thigh, it creates a much more flattering silhouette for someone bottom heavy like me.

Finally perfect length
I was ecstatic to finally find pants in so any sizes with so many lengths to choose from. The most awesome thing ever!!!! However, I am a plus size but the waist on the pants has to be altered so I am still stuck going to the seamstress. Length I can fold but the waist nothing I can do. The waist is so big I cannot even wear belt without it gathering all around.. So sad, almost absolutely perfect.

Bell bottoms, not straight leg
Returned these, due to horrid bell bottoms. These were described as straight leg trousers, but are actually bell-bottoms/boot cut. The waist/buttocks/thighs fit lovely. However, no self-respecting woman can wear these to work (or anywhere else). Lands End, I am a faithful customer, please provide clothes we can wear. Straight or tapered legs, please.
