Women's Luxe Wool Scoopneck Coat
I wanted a nice winter coat for special events and this is it. Color is a lovely rosey red (as opposed to a blue red). Fabric is a nice soft wool blend. Fit in 8T works for me - a little extra arm length and just above my knee. It would work over a sweater okay, but probably not a structured suit jacket. I usually take a 6 or 8 or small tall at Land's End and 8 at other stores. I am nearly tall - 5'8" and shrinking. ;=) Inseam is 33. So I am at the edge of tall.
Very pleased with this purchase and hope to use it for many years.

Love, love, love!
I ordered this in a 14 petite. The fit is fabulous, the cut is flattering and the details are beautiful. Thank you Land's End for carrying petites.

I ordered the green color, size 10 ( 5ft in, 155lbs) body of coat fit as expected, arms were small, narrow through shoulders. There is no way I could wear a sweater underneath. The fabric was sort of thin and wondered how it was going to hold up. The shoulders had stretch/hanger marks when I took it out of box. Green color not as vibrant as expected. Had to send it back. Very disappointed as I had been keeping my eye on this one all winter and was excited to get it at sale price.

Excellent Quality You Feel Putting it On
I am moving to the east coast from San Diego and getting coats :( I've tried on a gazillion and being 6' makes it more challenging. This is an excellent quality that you can feel will work in 20 degree weather. Unfortunately the size 12 was way too big. I'm going to exchange it for a size 10. I'd even go to a size 8, but I feel I will wear sweaters under. I'm usually a size 12 in clothes. I ordered the vermillion and it's definitely a burned orangey/less red. It's very pretty, but I might get the camel. You have got to really want a more burned color, it's not red if you want red.

Beautiful, well made coat
Usually buy petite small, based on reviews I ordered regular 10 glad I did, fits perfectly. I am 5'2" 120 lbs. bust 36D waist 28 hips 38. Coat feels comfortable with room for a sweater. It looks good on. Thank You Lands' End received my coat today, Christmas Eve. Will wear my fur scarf with it.. MERRY CHRISTMAS

Bought the red last year, loved it!
The red is more like a hot tomato orangey red, but I loved it anway. Present from hubby last year (as in I bought with his card, lol) I probably could have taken the 10 but am busty and 5'5" so the 12 was perfect, especially since there is slight tightening in the arms. So far there is no pilling, nothing to show wear. Looking for other colors on Black Friday, price is definitely right!

Cute, well-crafted and definitely worth the price.
Bought it in Green, and absolutely love it. I have a lot of coats and love choosing something each day that fits my mood. This has a very Holly Golightly feel to it. Fun, flirty, but with classic detailing: epaulets, button sleeve cuffs and surprisingly good quality leather (or facsimile) buttons. Very comfortable to wear: I love that there are slash pockets tucked behind the decorative ones. Surprised some found the fabric felt cheap. This one's a keeper in my books.

Lots of compliments on my green coat!!
I bought this coat last year in Juniper Green. I love my coat and looked forward to wearing it again this winter. I received alot of compliments on it last year. I am a perfect Lands End 4P so most everything I purchase in LE fits me. (I am 5 ft tall.) I live in Va Beach, VA where the winters are relatively mild, average "cold" day in the upper 30s and am comfortably warm in my coat. I love the decorative and functional buttons, and the epaulets are just enough decoration. The pockets are roomy. I can wear a wool sweater (though not the bulky ones) comfortably under the coat. Looks great with riding boots. I enjoy wearing scarves in complimentary colors around the jewelled color. The wool is soft, not itchy. My coat still looks great after a whole season of wear!! A great Lands End value.

I love this coat!
This is a beautifully constructed, soft and cute coat. I love the collarless look, which can be dressed up with scarves or left as is. The only problem is that the sleeves are very narrow, as well as the shoulders. I normally wear a size 6 or an extra small in Land's Ends products. The size 6 in this is going back, and I am hoping that the size 8 will fit, as it is on its way. To help others out, I am 5'6", 125 lbs., and have narrow shoulders, so this coat definitely runs small. Customer service at Land's End is excellent though, and they are sending the next size up at the great sale price I got it at two weeks ago. (And the sale price today is still pretty good!)

Not For Me
The jacket itself is okay. Overall, the fit is a little roomy but in the way a coat should fit I think. Across the chest/shoulders is a little tight as others have said but it's not enough to need a whole larger size unless your very endowed in the bust or have broad shoulders. I was not expecting the coat to look like fleece which it does. That being said the material looks like it will be prone to pilling. There is no "luxe" appeal with this material IMO. The style is okay but it isn't for me: the princess/babydoll style is just a touch juvenile. Also the red is nothing like I expected: it's a muted tomato-orange red not red. Overall, I think this might work for someone younger but I just wasn't impressed. I cannot imagine feeling warm in this throughout a New England winter. It's way too light. The price point was excellent.
