Women's Classic Cashmere Turtleneck Sweater
Washable cashmere that keeps its shape well and keeps you warm without bulk!
Thick enough to keep you warm but not too bulky for layering. It lays well, keeps its shape well after washing, and you can wash it! Wash other cashmere sweaters can you do that with? Love it!

Decent quality for a lighter weight cashmere
Nice fit, seems to be nice quality - although I liked the former Land's End heavier cashmere. We'll have to wait to see if this holds up as well.

Declining quality of cashmere
I have several Lands' End cashmere sweaters of varying ages, and I have to agree with other reviewers that this year's sweaters are just not the same quality as in the past. The one I got this fall is already pilling, while much older sweaters have held up much better.

I echo the sentiments of several other reviewers that the sweaters are not what they used to be. I have had two different cashmere sweaters have seam blow outs, including one that I just got last season. I'm going to have it repaired by a local seamstress (as I did the other one), but I won't be buying any more of these sweaters from Lands End. I'm so sad too, because they used to be so great.

Where oh where have the warmer cashmere turtlenecks gone?
If you want warmth, look elsewhere. I searched LE again this year HOPING to find a nice warm turtleneck; but alas, I left empty-handed. Many other reviewers have the same complaints I do about finer, thinner thread, which is okay for a sweater that will be worn under another layer. But for everyday warmth and comfort, I am looking for more substance! I keep hoping to find the bulkier, possibly cable-knit, sweaters of 3-plus years ago, and am willing to pay a little more for better quality. (It would probably end up costing less than the sweater-plus-another-layer I have to buy now.) Please add a warmer sweater to your selection!

I used to love them.
I used to adore my Land's End cashmere sweaters. I purchased a couple each year since at least 2000. was my one little luxury. However, the past year or two, the new "finer, lightweight" yarns are a disappointment. I miss my warm, high quality cashmere. I just sent back yet another sweater for failures at the seams, others have pilled badly or worn thin at contact spots (under the arms). I think I'm done with Land's End cashmere unless they remember why they were famous for their quality. Sadness.

Lighterweight sweater than in prior years
I have purchased Lands' End cashmere sweaters for many years. Due to a recent wool moth attack, I needed to replace many of my sweaters. The current sweater is not as substantial as in prior years. It is also slighter smaller in the upper arm area.
In previous years, the Lands' End sweaters were significantly better fabric than many of the department store sweaters. While they are still good sweaters, they are no longer the premium sweater in this market. It is a shame...I am finding this problem with many of my traditional favorites from Lands' End.

WAY too light--embarrassing to wear on a chilly day
I have a drawer full of previous lovely LEs cashmere sweaters. My go-to item for a quick and comfy dress-up. However, the last ones I ordered in fall 2013 are flimsy and very clingy. Everything shows on a cool day--if you get my drift. Returned two sweaters and am DONE with their "lighter weight" sweaters. Give us back our LEs quality!

I've been buying cashmere turtlenecks from Lands End for many years now; I have a drawerful of them. I bought a white one a few weeks ago, and have been wearing and washing it, and I really like it. It looks like it's going to hold up well. I agree with another reviewer that this year's turtlenecks are less beefy than they've been in the past, but I think it's still a pretty good product. I came back to the site today to buy another white one and other colors. It would be great if they could add another ply (or more) to it though, without raising the cost overly much.

What a disappointment!
Ordered several of these sweaters this season to add to my cashmere turtleneck collection.
I was very annoyed with the quality. The knit is very soft and flimsy and the turtleneck falls down rather than hugging the neck. I don't care what ply a sweater is I just want it to be able to hold itself together.
Was it a a year or two ago when LE extolled the return of their classic quality cashmere sweaters? They were really quite nice. Not as nice as my JNY which are lovely but good value for the price. What happened to them?
Now we are being offered "year round" cashmere. I don't need cashmere sweaters for skiing but it would be nice have a proper fall and winter sweater. Maybe I shouldn't ask the question but Lands'End, who wears cashmere sweaters year round?
