Women's Knit A-line Midcalf Skirt 3.3 5 12 12
Excellent, Comfortable Skirt Comfortable, fits well, good quality. Despite that these are described as "terry" the material does not look that casual, and is quite acceptable for daily wear. I went back on the web site to buy more of the same colors and other colors but was disappointed to see that they were sold out. Please carry these again. May 1, 2013
Land's End you are nearly there! I love this skirt and would have ordered it in every colour if they weren't sold out. I was told this item sold out beyond expectations. Could it be that plus size women do appreciate more coverage of legs and to be able to be comfortable sitting down in a skirt that gives some degree of modesty? I had to order a size smaller because there is too much fabric in the skirt. With ample stretch in the fabric you do not need so much of it to be able to sit down comfortably. I agree it could be a smidge longer - I loved the midi skirt - but this is the best I have seen from Land's End so far. Keep up the effort. The fabric is a great weight and feels nice but I agree that it is a bit too casual looking for work. However it is great for everyday casual. Hope you will be getting more stock soon. It would be great to see a revised version for fall and winter in a wool knit or blend that would still be washable. Even better would be to see some matching sweaters with option of jewel neck, boat neck, turtleneck and mock turtleneck.. Why not match them to your cashmere collection? I am not a fan of pockets because of the extra bulk. If you put them in please attach them to waistband as well as the side seam so they don't flop around. These need to be available in all the basic colours., black, grey, brown, camel, navy, white, red, green and cobalt blue... April 29, 2013
Cheap fabric This skirt is made up of the cheapest wrinkly fabric. After 5 min of sitting in the skirt it looked like it had been slept in. No even suitable for lounging at home or doing yard work. Who wants to look like they are wearing an old rag?! In high hopes I bought two. They are both going back! April 29, 2013
Great basic I love the feel of the fabric and its weight. Some knits are too light or too heavy. This one is great. I'm not sure I will call it mid-calf although it is below my knees. I am 5'8" so maybe that is why. I would like it to be a smidge longer, but definitely works. It does look good with a belt and doesn't show my rolls! I wish it came in more colors. I wanted the mushroom but it was sold out. Only other thing I don't like but is true for most skirts these days is no pockets. I preach every Sunday and need one in which to put the guts part of my microphone. April 28, 2013
Fit small and short I have a number of the "old style" lands end knit, longer midcalf to almost above ankle ,skirts but they seem to have been discontinued several years ago. I am 5'8" and they were nice and long without having to order them in tall. I loved the style, longer, flat waistband and even pockets! Was super sad to see them go. Saw this new skirt and was quite hopeful. It was an exagerated a-line and much shorter. I have varicose veins and appreciate the longer straighter style. Sent it back. April 27, 2013
Casual skirt. Fits very big. I'm normally a 3x on the bottom and 2x on top at Lane Bryant and Addition-elle here in Canada. The 3x fits really big. More like a 28. The plus size skirt has way too much material and wasn't flattering on me. It is not A-line like in the regular model picture. It was also much more casual looking than pictured being a simple comfy stretchy jersey fabric. It would be great for around the house and running around but I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing it to work or to a place of worship, which the length would have been perfect for. April 26, 2013
Easy to wear, fit well, need more colors...please I was very pleased with the fabric, A-line cut, length and waistband of the skirts (ordered all 3 colors). Since I am between sizes I expected it to be tight but it wasn't (ordered size L). Planning to spend the summer in these skirts and tees. As mentioned by previous reviewers, a pocket (side or hidden at the waist) would be amazing! Regarding colors, it would be fabulous if there were some other choices. Maybe a red, white, chocolate brown, emerald green and/or sky blue. Pretty pleeeeeeease. Don't make me stoop to begging. April 21, 2013
Great comfortable skirt, just miss the pockets I purchased quite a few of the sport knit skirts a few years back and was glad to see Lands'end bring back a similar style. This does skirt however, does not have pockets. Not a big deal for me, but others might find it lacking. The fabric is quite substantial, like a sweatshirt material, so on hot summer does, this might be bulky, so I think this a 3 season skirt, and not a year rounder. I thought the sizing was right on target. I am 5' 2" and 115 lbs and purchased the small 6-8 size in the regular, and it came mid-calf which I wanted. It fit me perfectly. I think the XS would have been too tight on me. So much that I ordered the mushroom on backorder in both sizes XS and small, and decided to cancel the XS size, because the Small fit me perfectly. Overall, very happy with this skirt and find it quite comfortable. April 18, 2013
While this skirt is attractive, the sizing seems incorrect. I had high hopes for this skirt to be a basic piece of my Spring, Summer, and Fall wardrobe. The material is lovely, and I liked the mid-calf length, though my husband thought it was a bit long. However, the small (6-8) is too big for me. After reading the size charts, I almost ordered a M. My waist is large but my hips are not. Since it had an elastic waist, I figured the small might be OK. Well, it's too big. One good tug would make the skirt slide off my hips. Also, as others have mentioned in their reviews, why wasn't a pocket includeed in this skirt? In summary, if you have a big waist, normal hips, and order 2 sizes smaller than normal, this might fit you. April 16, 2013
Perfect! I love this skirt! The fit is very flattering and the fabric is light enough to be comfortable but thick enough to be durable and hold its shape. I like that there are no pockets to add bulk to the overall silhouette of the skirt. The stretchy waist adds to the comfort of the skirt without adding bulk. I liked this skirt so much that I ordered it in all three colors. I would order more if additional colors were offered. April 13, 2013
