Women's Insulated Squall Parka
The best winter coat
Several years ago, I purchased a Stadium Squall parka and l absolutely adore it. I lost 40 pounds since last winter, so I decided to reward myself with a new Squall Parka (decided I could go with the shorter version since I am now in Tennessee winters instead of Wisconsin and Minnesota winters). The new version has some updates that I love, especially the cuffs inside the sleeve opening. If you are looking for a warm coat that looks good, this is definitely for you! This coat offers great quality for a fair price. It does run rather big - which I understand is for layering, but I still had to exchange the one I purchased for a size smaller. I will have no problem layering under it. I remember having to exchange my stadium squall when I bought that one, too, because it was too big.

Best Winter Coat - Ever!
I bought this coat for our Colorado winters and a trip to Minnesota, during their coldest weekend of the year! It fits great, its roomy and warm, and the length is just right. Plus the hood is just what you need, to keep the cold air out. The coat is well made, the zippers work great and its machine washable. I couldn't be happier with this purchase or better insulated from the cold weather! Thank you, thank you, Land's End.

Just what I needed
After 25 years, I had to retire my old LE parka. I ordered this one in Lg, my regular size, and it was tight through the shoulder/chest area. I thought that if I went to XL, it would be too long so I exchanged it for a XLP. The fit is perfect and just what I wanted and in red, my favorite color.

My best ever parka!
I read reviews over and over, trying to decide if this was the parka for me. I couldn't be happier that I ordered it. It's the perfect parka for our Canadian winters. There are no open spaces where the wind can blow through the jacket. It's comfortable and warm, without being too bulky. I'm pear-shaped and this parka accommodates that very well. In the past, I've sometimes had zipper problems with LE outerwear, but this zipper works smoothly without any extra effort. I bought a similar insulated squall parka for my husband and we are both very happy customers.

Quality not the same
I have an insulated squall parka that I bought quite a few years ago. It is still in very good shape, but I have lost weight and wanted a smaller size. This coat is only a fair imitation of the one I already own. The lining is flimsier and the coat is shorter so that it doesn't totally cover your seat. My current coat comes half way down my thighs and definitely provides warmth to my behind. I decided to send this one back and will need to look somewhere beyond Land's End for a new coat.

Warm & stylish parka!
I bought this parka for my daughter who is a college student. She needed a coat to keep her warm while walking around her Milwaukee college campus. The fist day she wore it we went to Chicago for the day and the temp was 28 degrees and windy. She was warm and toasty in this Insulated Squall Parka all day!
The navy color is okay, but she loves it -- especially the hand pockets. My sister bought one several years ago for work and she loved it very much too. A fabulous value for the quality!

I had to replace my insulated squall of many years due to significant weight loss. I was so disappointed when my new coat arrived today to find drastic changes in the pockets. The outside applied pockets are flat instead of 3 dimensional, making them far less useful. There is a strange tiny zipper pocket on one shoulder. I have no idea what the intended use of that might be. But most disappointing is that there are no inside pockets! The old jacket had three pockets on the inside! I can't help but think Lands' End is cutting corners.

Going back to my old parka
Thirteen years ago, I purchased a squall parka. It wa warm, comfortable and easy care. Two years ago, I decided to get a new one so I purchased the 'new' updated squall parka; it's just not the same. Though I ordered the same size that had fit wonderfully, the 'new' parka is tight and I cannot wear it with anything bulkier than a lightweight shirt. This is my second winter trying to make the new parka work for met. I'm giving up. I'm no longer going to donate the old one. Instead, I'll donate the new one and keep the old one for myself.

Very warm winter coat
This is my third squall coat, and this time I ordered the insulated one in red. It's a little bulky for driving in, but great for walking dogs in the snow we get in Western New York. My only complaint is that the neck is too tight to zip the zipper all the way up, unless I then want my mouth covered. I have taken to wearing a muffler at my neck to block the cold. Seems like a slight design glitch.

If it's cold outside wear this coat!
Hands down - this is perhaps the best winter coat I have ever owned. This coat has a fleece-lined hood, shell and pockets - it's like the designers at Land's End had a direct line to Mother Nature! It's roomy, has great length that covers my bum. The only downside is the coat can get too warm...but then again - that really isn't a downside. I'd recommend this coat to anyone.
