Women's f(x)? PrimaLoft Jacket
Warm and light weight.
I just got this jacket this week. I opted to order it after another reviewer said she wore it to walk the dogs. It's great for that! I love the black with purple but almost went with blue. The petite in this jacket fits perfectly in the sleeves and torso. I might wear it if we go somewhere to ski ( we're in Kansas so it's not going to happen here!) but it's also nice for dog walking. I would give it 5 stars if the hood came off. It's adjustable in the sides and for the back but it's still somewhat cumbersome. I had a surprise in the forearm pocket-- a little attached chamois to clean goggles. It clips off but I'll leave it in there for my glasses. There's a zippered inside pocket and a larger pocket with a bit of elastic. It seems warm and stood up to the wind.

Warm but SO lightweight!
I am traveling to Germany in January and dreaded the thought of wearing one of my heavy wool coats to keep warm, especially with a camera bag over my shoulder. So I began shopping for a lightweight but warm winter jacket, and found this one. Even though Lands' End women's clothing runs large, I ordered it in a medium because I have gained some weight recently (I'm a size 8). I also wanted to make sure a bulkier sweater would fit comfortably beneath it.
The medium was definitely too big; the sleeves went past my hands! So I exchanged it for a small, which generally fits quite well. The sleeves are still a bit long, but I know they will cover my gloves fully. They also have the built-in hand warmer thingy with the thumb hole, so you can keep your hands at least a little warm if you're not wearing gloves. I was still able to fit the jacket with my bulky sweater on, although when I put it on this weekend with a thick sweatshirt, it felt a bit tight (sweatshirts by design usually have extra fabric in the sleeves and around the body, whereas my sweater was more fitted).
I went outside Saturday night with just a long-sleeved shirt on beneath the jacket, and I was toasty warm even though it was in the 40s. I love all the zippered pockets, which will further free up my hands when I'm exploring Germany...no need for a purse to hold the essentials. I like the side vents as well. While my skiing and running days are over, I tend to overheat easily, so being able to vent the jacket if I get too warm is an awesome feature. The hood is big and it would be nice if it were detachable, but I put it up with the coat zipped all the way up and it wasn't in my face.
For the price, you can't go wrong. You will be astounded at how lightweight but warm it is. It's not at ALL bulky and really does look like it does on the model, like just a windbreaker. Grab one before they're gone!! I bought it in the black color and it will be perfect for exploring Germany without looking like a tourist.

great coat for winter running
i bought this at a sear's store at a great price. i bought it in the fuschia/orange color even though the color is a bit obnoxious for me - it's a great color to be seen in at night when running. the hand extensions are a plus and help keep my hands warm but fingers free for the ipod.
i've run in snow and light rain and it keeps me dry and warm. i do not see this being warm enough for skiing though. i would use it to go sledding at our town hill though. it would do great at keeping the snow out.
i like everything about this coat and would recommend it to someone looking for a lightweight running coat to keep you warm and dry. this one is a keeper!

Love this jacket!
I bought this jacket primarily for walking the dog and playing with the kids in the snow during the winter months. Not so much snow this season, but the jacket works great on cold, wet, and windy mornings when I'm out with the dog. I highly recommend it!

I ordered this jacket in the orange/magenta and found it fits pretty true. I have room to wear a sweater underneath. Just as the jacket arrived the temperatures dipped so I'm glad to have it.
One minor complaint - the outer fabric is swishy and noisy - I'm hoping with some wear this will tone down.
One suggestion - a two-way zipper would be great - since it comes down to just the bottom of the hip it would nice to be able to zip it open at the bottom for when you get in your car. As it is now the jacket sort of bunches up when sitting.

nice jacket but hood should be removable
The fit of this jacket is right on sizewise. I wear a 16 and got the large. and it fits just right. However, I hate the hood. The description does say the hood is made to go over a ski helmet but it also says it is adjustable. Not adjustable to the point of being able to wear it without a helmet. The front comes out too far, even when cinched up, to wear normally.
I would love this jacket if the hood was removable like so many other jackets have as an option OR had a snap on the top that one could wear the hood without a helmet. As it is, I will wear with the hood hanging off the back and have to add a hat.
One other reviewer talked about how stiff the zipper is - I will ditto that. Very, very stiff.

I'm 4"11 and I bought the jacket in petite size M in Regent Blue. It fits nicely (I have big arms and it's not tight!) and has a lot of technical features! It is quite light, very warm, and the quality of the material is excellent. Awesome purchase and I hope this jacket will last long!

This is a light but warm winter jacket. It fits well, and has many ways to adjust the jacket with pull
cords. I am 5'5 and 135 and went with the medium to give me extra room for all the sweaters/sweatshirts I wear. The fit is perfect, but sleeves are a little long because I chose to go with a bigger size. There are velcro adjustments on the wrists, so this helps compensate for the length. I went with the pink/orange and it is bright, but I love it.
