Women's Fit 2 Mid Rise Straight Leg Jeans - Chalk
Shapeless From Knees-Down, Saggy Seat
These just made me feel so sloppy and dowdy when I put them on. The rise was on the short side, causing waistline popover (and the waist was actually loose), but the seat sagged and bagged. Also, the leg openings were wide and columnar from the knee down, instead of tapering to fit the natural contours of a human leg. (Both are issues that have increasingly prevented me from even ordering LE pants, let alone keeping them when I do take a chance in ordering.) Ordering a size down would result in other fit issues. Fabric is nice, though. These went back to the store.

Nice summer jeans
I was looking for a pair of white jeans for summer but I prefer straight leg to skinny, and the pure white jeans were only available in skinny. I would describe the color of these as cream rather than chalk. I really like the lightweight denim, very comfortable on a hot day. I bought my usual size for Lands End jeans, 6P, and they fit fine.

I love the fit of these new Lands End jeans. I wear a petite 4 and finally a jean that doesn't show your butt crack when you sit or fall down because it's too low cut. I have these in slim leg too and I'll probably get the blue jean in the fall. I wish all their pants would fit this well.

What is it with spandex in women's jeans??? They would never put this inferior product in Men's jeans! Jeans should be 100% denim. Nothing else. Have you ever considered denim doesn't need spandex to make it less "breathable"---not good for a woman's anatomy. Ask a GYN. This is yet another way of making cheap clothing for women. Sorry, but I've had it with this trend...including "slub" cotton shirts that are pretty much disposable. UGH.

Nice jeans but why brown top stitching
Great color. Nice fit. Not too low in back when you sit down. I'm 5'9" and 140 lbs. The 14L fits just fine - I might actually take up 1" in the hem - we'll see - but they didn't seem to shrink much when I washed them. I could have gotten away with a 12L but I despise tight pants so the 14L is nice without being too loose or baggy. Now for the rest:
These could actually double as dress jeans EXCEPT for the brown top stitching on the inside of the legs and around the waist and pockets. WHY Lands End? Surely chalk color thread is the same price as brown thread. The brown thread just makes them look cheap and at $59 I didn't consider them to be cheap. So they will be for casual and very occasionally work.

While I was looking for white jeans, these chalk jeans will do the job. The straight legs are much better than the slim ones I ordered as they are fitted but not skin tight. I ordered a 10 tall which I'll be able to wear down or rolled up with sandals.

I had bought two pairs of jeans which fit great and decided on getting a pair of the white jeans. While waiting for these to arrive, I saw the white jeans at Sears in my size (Lands End section) and bought them. When these arrived, the material was different. Thinner and not the same type of Jean. The color wasn't "white" but called "chalk" which gave a yellowish tint to the fabric. I liked the white jeans that I had purchased better so returned these. I still love Lands Ends clothing for my family and grandkids. These jeans just weren't quite it to me.

These jeans fit very well. The mid-rise is really a mid-rise.
