Women's Tall Essential Down Long Parka
Good fit and well made!
I am 5'4", weigh anywhere between 130 - 135 lb, and my chest measurement is 37" -38", I am busty, but otherwise small framed, so I always have a hard time choosing a size - if it fits my chest, it is too big in the shoulders, etc. I am happy to say that even though size S-Regular was supposed to be tight or too small for my chest, it was a perfect fit. There is still space for a sweater, fits well in the shoulders, and I love the defined waist. I am short waisted, but my arms are "regular" length, so I usually order Regular in winter wear rather than petite. I was worried that the fit would be off because of my short waist, but it was not the case - it fits very well and even makes me look better proportioned.
I love how the coat has a brushed cottony look rather than the usual material that down jackets are made of. And it felt very warm. Obviously, it is still summer, so the jacket has not been tested in proper conditions. I tried it with my other winter down jacket from Lands End that is rated for colder temps than this one. And I felt like this one was warmer!

Well made parka!
I'm 5'4", 34A, 28" waist & 38" hips and the Regular XS fits me great! This parka is shaped for curves and is very flattering on my pear shaped body. It's fitted but roomy enough for a shirt and medium sweater underneath. There's ample room in the hips and legs, but I can see that this parka's styling might not be a good fit for someone with a straight shaped body. The details are well thought out: two zippered side pockets (fleece lined), one external zippered pocket at the left side of the chest, one internal non-zippered pocket on the left side of chest, fleece lined turtleneck collar, removable hood, a placket for hiding the hood buttons when the hood is removed, bungees for cinching the hood, fleece sleeve cuffs to buffer wrist drafts and a smooth, matching color, polyester lining which makes putting it on & taking it off a breeze. I chose the dark wine color and it is a beautiful & sophisticated neutral color. The parka is cozy & warm but can be rolled up to easily fit inside a standard sized grocery bag (not that you would do that, just trying to illustrate its packability). The length falls about 3 inches above my knees. I only have positive things to say about this parka. I may not get to wear it much in my home climate, but it will surely accompany me on all of my trips to colder places!

Parka very good
I'm very happy. My height is 170 cm. Size Tall S 3 cm above the knee, it's very good. Pockets with fleece lining - a very good solution, it provides additional comfort. Tropic Blue color is as claimed. Parka very good quality.

Too big in the hips
My daughter has this coat (size S), and I loved it. So I ordered a M, since I am a little wider than she, but the hip area is huge. The photo does not realistically portray the curve at the hips. My daughter is pretty slim, and the coat gives her a lovely shape, but, on me the M made me look really wide, and I don't need anything to make me look wider. I really want this coat because it is warm and refined, unlike the Cire down that I have which is pretty sporty. I will return this and order a small, if they still have them.

so comfy and warm, practical features and keeps my derrier warm
I bought the deep red and the blue, bcs I was afraid the red might be too bright, but I wasn't disappointed. The deep red (more like a red wine) is so lovely and the lining is also a deep red (not sure why another writer mentioned orange, as this isn't so). The lining is so soft around the high collar (no scarf needed!), the cuffs and even pocket lining. The length is perfect, and two way zipper makes it comfy for sitting and walking briskly. Yes, it bunches up around the middle, but with your hands in the pockets that all straightens out. Love the extra pockets too. Thoughtful design. Love that hood is removable, deep (so I can wear a hat if I want to) and it sinches around the face to keep the wind out. The size was true - size S (I am slim up top, small chest, waist, small tummy, but ample bottom, so for a pear shape like me, it works well. I will probably return the blue, as the red worked out well. I have not seen any dawn shedding, as some other coats have been reported to have, and I've yet to clean it. The coat is a medium weight (not as light as my REI brand compact winter jacket, but not as heavy as my vintage wool pea coat). Our dog will love me for the longer walks on the colder days! At nearly 50% off it was an end-of-season steal not to be missed.

Good looking coat, annoying reversible zipper
This coat fits more snugly than my previous LandsEnd winter coat due to the styling, but it's a warm coat, so I can use lighter sweaters under it. I love the dark wine color. The material is lightweight, but blocks wind and cold well and is very comfortable to wear. The high collar is uncomfortable if zipped all the way up, but it isn't necessary to do that. The collar is lined with fleece and very comfortable around the neck. This coat is longer than my previous LE coat and that does make it more difficult to zip. In fact, the zipper was already jammed when I unpacked the coat! Lands End even goes to the trouble of including a warning label on the zipper to be careful when zipping. I wrecked my previous reversible zipper due to the difficulty of lining up the teeth. So far this zipper is working OK and I realize I have to be more careful with it. Unfortunately the extra length of the coat makes lining up the zipper even more difficult than the one on my previous coat. I like coats with reversible zippers and it bugs me that they are so difficult to use and so easy to break. That would be my one complaint about this coat. Otherwise great coat!

The perfect parka!!
This parka fits me well and is of excellent quality. I ordered the "dark wine" color and absolutely love it; very unique. I have a long walk to and from the subway during cold and windy conditions especially over the past couple of days and have felt very warm. My only regret is that I was not able to purchase a black one as well; no more mediums.

Will be good in a cold London Winter
This is the first time I've bought form Landsend.com, having bought previously from the UK site. The coat is heavier than I expected, but I think it will be excellent in the cold weather. I like a good jumper on underneath and went up a size, but it seems a close fit. Dispatch to the UK was good, but had to pay custums duty, but none the less it was still a good price. I would recommend.

Warm, great length and terrific value for the money!
I live in New Brunswick, Canada where it gets bone chilling cold with north east winds off the Atlantic Ocean. This coat has kept me so warm this winter and I never feel the wind coming through it. I love the length because it covers my behind when I sit on the cold seats in my car :) I worried about how it would wear around the cuffs and at the zipper near the neck but so far it looks just like new. Another thing I love about this coat is it is so easy to wash and dry. Thank you Lands End. Great product for us plus sized curvy women when winter coats that fit well are hard to come by...especially here in Canada!
