Women's Dolman Sleeve Alpaca Cowlneck Sweater
Disappointed on a couple levels
I bought this in a plus size in the 'purplette' (??) I tried it on as soon as I got it and holy cats I looked like the lovechild of McDonald's Grimace and Danny Devito's The Penguin!! I wasn't expecting the sweater to have no real sleeves. If I were to raise my arms, the whole sweater goes with it! (which I assume is why the model is wearing a shirt underneath). I'm well aware that the dolman sleeves are a bit more 'attached' to the sides than one usually wears but this was just ... awkward.
A word to the wise-- you may want to read the care instructions before you do anything. Stupid me didn't ... and tossed it right into the wash (as I do with all of my new clothes-- to wash off the chemicals and that new clothing stink) and ... well... if anyone needs a sweater for a medium size dog or a large doll, let me know!

Poor fit and material
The sweaters too short and is not flattering. The material is nice at first but balls up as it wears. Cannot recommend.

Other than the fabric, there is nothing to recommend...
I ordered the beige one. I like the color and the feel of the fabric. It's warm, it's soft, it's alpaca. However, the cut is bad. It makes me look pathetic - fat, short and funny styled. Instead of making me look slim, the generous cut makes me look shapeless. It's also true that you can't raise your arm when wearing this! Also, quality quality quality... I ordered a few knit items from LE this winter. They all have problems at connecting the end of a yarn to another. They always miss a loop or two making a small hole in the area. I have enough LE cotton and cashmere sweaters to say it's not the case before... Now that I moved to somewhere not close to Sears, seeing this trouble constantly is more frustrating. I order online to avoid a trip to the mall not the other way around.

I got this sweater in purple last season, & love it. I'm 5'4", 130 lbs., have it in medium. Fits great, wears well, I always get compliments on it. I wear it with a long-sleeve tshirt, jeans & boots. Was thinking about getting another color now that they're marked down, but nothing in my size.

Wanted to Love
I love almost everything about this sweater. The main reason for the low rating is the material. It is so nappy and balled up now I can barely wear it. Very disappointing and not up to LE standards.

Love this sweater, but DO NOT hand wash - Dry Clean Only
I ordered this sweater and fell in love. Warm, cozy, flattering. I got so many compliments and I love the color. So why 4 stars? Per the label I hand washed it in cold and it shrunk. I don't mean a little bit - at least two sizes. The fabric got all nappy and it was unwearable. Enter Lands End's wonderful return policy. I explained what happened and they sent me a new one. DO NOT HAND WASH. DRY CLEAN ONLY. I will be very careful even when I bring it to the cleaners because, for the price, I want to keep it more than one season.

gorgeous sweater will keep you WARM!!
This sweater is just gorgeous. Beautifully draped. Lusciously colored. And warm!
Did I say warm? WARM!!! If you get hot easily, this isn't for you, even though the short arms and low neckline let you cool off a little. But if you live in cold climes, or if you're a good doobie and turn the thermostat down at work or home to save the planet, this welcome addition to your wardrobe will snuggle you delightfully.
It also looks super-stylish. Layers beautifully with the cotton-modal lace tops or other long-sleeved tees or turtlenecks. (And it's WARM!). :)

Beautiful, but doesn't fit right. It seemed too short and you can't raise your arms in this sweater without the sweater rising dramatically to show your midriff. Sad, because the color and texture were great.

Lovely Knit; Terrible Fit
This is a really nice, soft kint and the aubergine is a beautiful color, unfortunately it fits and looks like a potato sack. Really, I look almost deformed wearing it. It's going back.
