Women's Denim Skirt
The hunt is over!
I've tried on many denim skirts in the past 5 years looking for one like this. I wanted this length, no long slit up the back, and just a basic comfy fit for every day wear. I am 5'5 and 155 lbs and ordered the 12 which fit me just right. I'd like to lose some baby weight in the coming year so I hope LE keeps this skirt stocked for when I need to order a smaller size!

Fits like a glove!
I ordered a 12 petite, which is my usual size, but the skirt was very roomy and loose so I ordered a 10 petite and it fit like a glove!! love the stretch, the length hits just above the knee (I am 5'4"). Can't wait to wear it with boots in the winter and sandals in the summer!! The denim is just thick enough to hold in the tummy area too and since I'm up and down all the time working with kindergartens, the stretch is giving and retains it's shape. Love it!!

I love skirts and love denim. I agree that this skirt is close to perfect! I will say that I own the skirt in an 18 and the waist is HUGE. If I pull it up to get the right length it has 6" around my waist, if I roll it 2-3x I can wear the length. I have a long torso and short legs. Obviously I was wearing the wrong size but loved this skirt. So I tried the petite on in the store (when it was there) and realized I was wearing this skirt way too big. I can usually wear a 10-12 or 14-16 in material dresses and skirts by Lands' End but found that a Petite 14 works best in this skirt.
It is difficult to find a classic jean skirt and this is it. I only hope Lands' End continues to offer this skirt year round and in additional denim and khaki colors.

5'1"- needed petite
I am 5'1" and needed the petite in order for it to be above my knee, and just barely. The regular length I tried on was more than 3" longer.
I was looking for a jean skirt that was work appropriate, I teach 3rd grade. I tried on the regular at a Sears store and it was just a too long. The nice ladies that work in the LE department got the petite measurements and even called LE to make sure the waist size wasn't any different (it wasn't). They ordered it for me, with no shipping cost.
It is a versitile skirt that can be paired with lots of tops and wore all year long.

The Perfect Denim Skirt
This skirt runs LARGE. Thanks to other reviewers I ordered a size down and it fits perfectly. It's just the right length, not too short, not too long, and is a nice heavy weight to carry through three seasons. As with another skirt I recently bought from LE, my only complaint is that it isn't offered in multiple colors. I would definitely buy more.

Typical "mans" fit.
I wanted this skirt to fit so badly. But it is straight up from the hip to the waistband. Reminds me of the days back in the 60's when they didn't make women's jeans. If you bought a pair, they were a man's Levi's. There is nice stretch in the fabric but you will not be happy with the large gappy waist. Try the Ponte pencil skirt instead. Sweet!!

Very very strange fit
HUGE in the waist, though the rest was at size. Too bad, it looks really cute in the pic

This skirt is so close to perfect! I'm 5'8", 150 lbs., and my size 6 hits right at the knee. The cut is slimming and a little dressier; exactly what i wanted, but what other reviewers said is true definitely is: this skirt has no waist! I thought this would be fine for me since my waist /hip ratio is nil -- I'm about as straight as they come! Even so, there was lots of extra fabric around my waist. I cinched it in with a belt and wore a long top which seemed to work until later in the day after a bit of stretching when the skirt kept twisting out of place. I'm going to order again in a size 4 because it really, really could be the perfect denim skirt! If you're between sizes, I'd definitely order down.

Denim skirts are still hard to find. The Lands' End option is nice, although I wish it was more fitted in the waist rather than riding down so low on the hips. I would also prefer not to have the faded look in the front and more color options would be nice. That said, the fabric is good, neither too thick and bulky or too thin, and the spandex adds a nice amount of stretch. This is a great skirt for those times when you want a slightly dressier option than jeans.

It's a denim skirt people!
Ok I have read a million reviews on this item.Yes,it runs a little large. So..I bought two...after I figured out that it does stretch a bit but guess what ?You can wash it and even throw it in the dryer...does not shrink and still retains its' shape. It is well made for the cheap price. So if you are unsure, size down. If you do not mind it stretching a bit in the waist and then throwing it in the washer and dryer, order your regular size.
What else can you say about it? It's a denim skirt! Buy it!
