Comfortable, versatile and good fit.
I purchased this cover-up at the last minute and thankfully, it arrived before my family's trip to a beach-side holiday destination. Thankfully, it worked out - here are some plus points about this cover-up:
1) the roll-up sleeves (with snap strap to hold them in place) are versatile - if you're getting a little too much sun, you can let the sleeves down for more coverage.
2) the drawstring waist allows this cover-up to be useful through size changes that I might experience over time!
3) the hood is nice if you want to provide some cover-up for your neck and provide a little break against wind.
4) length is a perfect modest length- not so long that it's dowdy, but not so short that it might as well be a shirt.
5) washes nicely and retains shape.
6) pockets are great for beach finds and I don't have to carry around a plastic bag.
7) like the description says, it looks nice enough to double as a casual dress for beach cafe's.

Just "ok" after washing...needs a two-way zipper!
For reference I am 5'5", 145#, a little pear shaped and got the Medium.
When I tried it on right out of the box I loved it. I almost ordered another but decided to wait until I washed it and was glad I did. It is still ok and I will wear it, but it shrunk just a little - just enough to make the zipper up the front get sort of wavy...it bulges out in spots, and one bulge is in a particularly bad area for a female, if you know what I mean! If this had a two-way zipper instead of just one-way, I think that would help, as I could just zip up the bottom a bit so it's open, which might solve my bulge problem!
If this still fit the way it did out of the box I probably would've bought a couple more and worn them over leggings, etc, not just as a beach cover!

Fits very small; not what I expected
This runs very small, which is odd since most of Land's End's clothes run very big. The arms are impossibly small, and the fabric was not as soft and as good of quality as I'd expect from Land's End. I'm not sure how this piece went so wrong, but it did. I wish they'd make a similar product that was congruent with their normal sizing and was made out of a better material. The concept of this garment was great, but it missed the mark overall. I ended up returning it.

Serviceable
I generally wear a 16 and got an x-large, which fits well. I am 5' tall and the length is to the middle of my knees. The arms did fit, which I was worried about, since my arms are big. I got the pink color, which is pretty. I like that it has a hood and that the arms roll up. I look forward to lots of use of this cover-up this summer.

Just what I wanted
I found this true to size. I did not think the arms were too tight as others have mentioned. I was afraid it might look a little "old" but it is actually cute on.

nice beach cover-up
I love this color. The material is just right for a beach cover. The arms are a little snug so some may find them too tight, therefore the 4, not a 5 rating. They were fine for me, XSP. Purchased for an upcoming island vacation.

Love the cotton!
Love the natural fibers & appreciate the longer length of this cover-up, THANKS LANDS END! Be aware the arms if this thing run small. . . not the body, just the arms! I had read this in reviews, so I order up a size & this worked out well for me.

I have 3 and love them all--black, gray, and deep sea. Would buy all colors. Great for swim cover up, robe, sleepwear, over leggings for errands, you name it. Thanks for a great product.

versatile
I bought 2 of these last year for vacation as swimsuit cover-ups. Afterwards, I have been wearing them as robes. I like that they are very soft and comfortable on my skin. I can put them on over a nightgown and no one's the wiser. I like them so much I ordered another this year. I think I might even try to get on in every color!
