Women's Core Down Jacket
Not so great
Before I ordered this jacket I read the posted reviews and felt like this might be a decent, inexpensive item. Maybe I received the wrong item but when I opened the package the other day this jacket felt like a windbreaker. I think I have windbreakers that are better made & warmer. I packed this thing right back and it will be returned. I was quite disappointed witht he quality of this jacket.

Beautiful Jacket but Terrible Sizing!
This is a beautiful jacket and the price was right, so I ordered it - three times! I usually take a Petite Large and so that is the size I ordered first and boy oh boy was it big. Returned that size and ordered a Petite Medium which was a better fit but as I was putting the jacket on I felt that "pull" when there isn't enough width in the back and shoulder area. I tried again and ordered the Regular Medium but I still felt that "pull." In addition the sleeves were about two inches too long. I don't have any other sizing option so unfortunately I will not be able to purchase this jacket. Lands End really needs to evaluate their sizing.

It is a casual look, but it looks great with a turtle neck and is the perfect warmth for those winter days that are not extremely cold, but too cold to go without a jacket. Slim fitting and doesn't look baggy or puffy. I am very satisfied!

Runs VERY Large!
I am so disappointed with everything in my last order due to incorrect sizing information! Actually, an order I made last year was the same! In what world does an XS Petite fit a woman who is 5'6 with 35-29-36 hips?? I purchased this coat (and 2 other items) for my 22 year old daughter and they were so huge that they fit me instead and with room to spare! Time to stop trying to placate heavier women with this deceitful and incorrect sizing! That's all I can assume you're doing. I won't be shopping with Lands End anymore!

Love this jacket!
I live in Chicago and our winters are brutal, this jacket keeps me warm and toasty! I originally purchased a size medium in the navy blue online but when I received it, it was way too big so I took it back to my Lands End store at my local Sears and exchanged it for a small in the bright aubergine since they didn't have navy blue in the store. When ordering the jacket online I couldn't decide whether I wanted the navy blue or the bright aubergine but decided upon the navy blue because one of the pictures of the bright aubergine made it look like a true bright purple and I didn't like that color. Both the navy blue and the bright aubergine are beautiful colors and I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have the navy in the store however, when I saw the bright aubergine in person, I was pleased to see that it was more of a dark magenta purple instead of a true purple. The color was just what I was hoping it was. I am 5'3", 145 lbs and usually wear a medium in jackets and tops but the medium was way too big for me so I recommend sizing down. The small is a nice roomy fit, the sleeves are a bit wide but not to the point that it is a problem.

Just received this in the mail today. I am 5'4" and 128 pounds so I looked at the size chart and it said to order an extra small- I wasn't sure how it would fit but - it is actually perfect over a shirt and light fleece pullover. Note that I ordered the 'regular' fit for a little more room and its really great. The sleeves are just the right length. The jacket is cute and fitted without being too tight. Other reviews mentioned the wind going up the sleeves- I can see that happening if you only have a tee shirt on underneath- so just wear long sleeves. Not sure yet how it will do in really cold weather but I think it looks really nice.

I bought this coat because I wanted something light weight, but warm. This coat does that!!! I went out and shoveled the driveway and the temp. was 10 degrees, but the wind chill was -10. I was nice and warm with this coat. I think the fit is correct with the sizing. The only downsides are that there are no inside pockets and no hood.

Go Back To the Old Jackets
Again these jackets are not made the way they use to be made, no flannel lined collar, no inner sleeve to keep drafts out, and again, not as warm as the one purchased two seasons ago. Please Lands End go back to the excellent made jackets. This year I find some of the slippers, etc. that I purchased also had to be returned. This was purchased as a Christmas gift & recepient decided to keep it; said she will layer it to keep warm. Previous jacket purchased did not have to be layered, so please Lands End go back to the super quality of yesteryear.

Not like the Old Jackets!
There is no flannel lined collar, no flannel lined pockets, and most of all no inner sleeves to keep the cold air from coming in. Purchased this as a gift for cousin and she is freezing in the jacket. Purchased her a similar jacket 2 years ago & its 200 per cent better. Seems like all down hill with some of Lands End products and I have been a Lands End customer for many many years. Please go back to the old jackets Lands End.
