Women's Down Jacket
Good quality & lightweight
It hasn't gotten cold enough yet to test how warm this jacket is, but I am pleased with the quality & am hopeful it will keep me warm while doing recess duty this winter.

Beautiful Color - A Tad Disappointed in Quality
I'm a long long time buyer of Lands End stuff... In fact I rarely buy jackets anyplace else. I LOVE the color, and the fit is OK although the neck gapes a little. And like others have mentioned, the overall quality of the jacket seems to have diminished. The outer fabric is OK but a little plastic-y feeling, and the inner lining is just slick. Also, I REALLY MISS the soft inner cuffs that were on previous jackets. They really kept heat in. I haven't worn it yet because it's not that cold in NYC, and I look forward to blinding everyone with the green, but I do wish the fabric was as nice as previous years.

Nice Fit & Color, but Not Like Last Years' 600-Fill Down
I ordered one of Lands' End's 600-fill down jackets last year and it appears to be much warmer. This jacket has far less down and seems very lightweight by comparison (but haven't had it long enough to test it during the cold winter). I do love the fit of a Tall & the color selection (ordered it in the red and it is gorgeous). I also ordered one size up to accommodate bulky sweaters underneath.

Not What I Expected... At All
The fit is quite small. I recomend getting one size larger. The coat itself was not warm at all. Midwest winters are very very cold. It did not withstand the chill. I did not realize after ordering that it did not have a hood. Hoods are very useful when it can get to -40 degrees durring the day. If you are looking for a spring coat, this is right up your alley. But if you are looking for a warm winter coat, DO NOT GET THIS WHAT SO EVER.

exactly what i needed
Medium fits great, which is my usual LE size - the dark mahogany is a little lighter than it looks online - I like it a lot. I already knew it did not have inner cuffs (not sure why anyone makes a jacket without them)so I did not expect them. Great lightweight warm jacket with some slanted stitching so that I don't look like a roly poly I would with horizontal lines!

not for wide shoulders
I'd been looking to replace a much-loved 10-year-old Lands' End down jacket, but this jacket isn't going to do it. The fitted shape is the biggest problem: I'm 5'2" and 125 pounds, but have wide shoulders, so I usually buy size L jackets (especially for winter coats, which I wear over layers). With this jacket, I ordered the L, which fit nicely in the shoulders, but was huge and shapeless in the waist and stomach. I took it to Sears to return it, and while I was there, tried on some other sizes. In so doing, I discovered two things:
1) There isn't a size that actually fits me: the S looks great but doesn't allow me to move my arms, and the M is too tight on top and too loose on bottom.
2) The version of this coat that Sears had on the racks has a soft lining in the collar, and a soft, elasticized inner cuff. The version that I'd bought on landsend.com has neither, and those features make the jacket about a million times better! (From the other reviews, I'm thinking that our Sears might be selling an older iteration of the design. If that's the case, older was better.)
So I guess the moral is, don't buy this jacket if you have big shoulders for your size, and if you DO buy it, check Sears first, because they may have a better version than the website does.

Looks Like a Great Coat
I bought it when they went on sale, so I haven't worn it yet, but I do love it because I could get a tall. I think it will be great when winter rolls back around.

Just what I was looking for!
Nice and light to wear but still good and warm. I did get one size larger as I wear bulky sweaters underneath.

Feathers flying out
I've been a Lands' End customer for years so I know how the products fit. However, unlike the other down vests and jacket I've purchased from them, this one's outer shell is the flimsiest material that had feathers flying out as soon as I unwrapped it. I'm afraid to launder it for fear most insulation will be lost. Each time I wear it in this cold winter, I find more loose feathers. I don't know if I got a dud, but I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of this item.I don't think it will last me another season based on all the insulation I'm losing. Thumbs down for quality. The fit is excellent and color selection better than the past years so overall 2 stars.
