Women's Core Down Jacket
It's a keeper
I doubted my new coat would be warm enough but today it proved itself. The was 21 degrees, the wind chill 8. I took a 30 minute walk and was not cold, except my face; the wind did not penetrate. My gloves filled the space where some said the sleeves were like a wind tunnel. It is also very comfortable when driving as it is not bulking. I say it's a keeper!

Not a good fit
I ordered this for my daughter and ended up sending it back. The color was lovely, but the fit was poor. The sleeves were too long, even on me, and I have long arms. The openings of the sleeves were very wide, not tight to the wrists, so I'm sure the cold air would not stay out. It was also big in the waist, not a flattering shape. It does look nice on the models, but is just not cut right for my daughter or I. I think this coat was made for a short chubby person with very long arms! If they could just adjust the shape a bit, it could be a decent coat!

Warm and Stylish Jacket
I ordered this jacket in the white, XS because I typically wear a size 4. I had been looking for one like it, and since I owned a black puffer coat from Land's End, I knew I could count on the quality. After having read some of the earlier comments about the open cuffs, I opened the seams and added elastic there myself. I would have preferred the nice internal soft knitted cuffs like my other LE puffer jacket. I don't believe that the one I bought is for very cold weather. Even the light zipper opening is better suited for a cool fall day instead of a true cold winter morning. That said, I am keeping this one for 30 to 50 degree days and short car trips.

Would be great but too tight at waist
I want to love this jacket so much, but it's too tight in the waist and too short. This makes it almost unwearable. I can wear it over a light top but that's it. Too bad, the color (green) is great, the whole thing fits perfectly except it tapers in at the waist and looks really stupid. I'm reviewing the plus size jacket, 2x. I'm 5' 9" and it's too short, hits right at the top of my pants.

I so wanted a down parka in the shade of green this one came in, but was hugely disappointed when it arrived. It was thin and the sleeves were crazy long. I have to say, I'm not at all impressed, in general, with the direction down parkas appear to be going. Every manufacturer is jumping on the band wagon making these new light weight down parkas and they all fall short of fulfilling the one thing they're supposed to do: keep you warm in single digit weather. Thankfully, I have my LE down parka from last season.

no more chills!
I purchased this jacket in the small size 6 to 8 and find this it to be perfect. I'm five foot seven and 130 lbs. and I find the sleeve length to be adequate but not too long. The weight of the down and insulation the coat are more than adequate for chilly to even cold days. I have worn the jacket already this year up in Tahoe and plan on wearing it in Park City as well this season. I purchased it in the ivory, which to me is more of a winter white but not too bright of a white. Just give it a quick spray with scotch- gard and you probably won't even need to wash it the rest of the season. This coat is easy to either dress up, or down, depending on the type of scarf that you wear with it. I have received numerous compliments on both the style, and the color of the coat, and it will keep me plenty warm on the coast in Savannah as well as in the mountains up in Tahoe.

I was disappointed in this jacket. The quality was so-so and the fit was very small--OK if you just had a turtleneck underneath, but if you want to wear anything else, buy a size up. I live in the Northeast and couldn't see myself clearing snow with those open sleeves.
All in all, an OK car jacket for winter, but not equal to the task of working/playing outdoors in the winter.

If you are looking for super warm you have to layer in this jacket!
I have read all the prior reviews on this jacket & I do agree for the most part. However, if you want to wear this jacket in really cold temps you must layer! Wore this coat today & layered with a polartec vest underneath & it was fine. Temp was in the 30's. The colors are great. I ordered the aubergine which is gorgeous. I actually went to Sears & tried on different coats & vests. Most coats today are being made with the light down because people want less bulk. The pockets can fit a cell phone. These pockets snap I prefer a zipper but what can you do. The price is right. I would not recommend this coat to wear on an extremely cold day. Again, some people tolerate cold better than others. You really need to try on & wear it out in the cold weather to see if it is right for you. I am thinking of getting the matching down vest.

Not sure yet.
I really like the look and fit. It's hard to believe it is as warm as advertised. If it is I will be very pleased; if not I will need to return it as I need a warm coat.

This jacket was just what I was looking for! I read some of the reviews about the jacket and I still got it and I'm glad I did. It is a generous fit, enough room to wear sweaters under and still feel comfortable. This is a lightweight jacket, good for getting in and out of the car...shopping jacket! By no means will this be my winter coat, but I love it non-the-less!! It is warm for blustery days temps down to maybe 45 degrees. Yes the sleeves are wide at the wrist, but wear long tops and gloves (not a big deal like others proclaimed). This was worth the money and so far has kept me comfortable. Hope this helps!
