Women's Down Jacket
Jacket nowhere near warm enough, even for NM winter!
I had purchased (what I thought to be) the same jacket in 2011 and absolutely loved it! I recently donated that one, in size 3X, and purchased it again in XL. This is NOT the same jacket. I live in Albuquerque and our winters are nowhere near the -25 to 0 degree range the description boasts, yet already (in November) this jacket isn't warm enough for our +22 degree mornings. It's a good jacket for the car ride to work and the short walk from the car. Would never dream of counting on this for actual cold weather. Disappointed, Lands' End!

I originally ordered one size too large returned, when the reordered it item arrived. Jacket fit perfectly.
I originally ordered one size too large & I returned, when the reordered item arrived. Jacket fit perfectly. Jacket could have been little thicker in weight for warmth.

This jacket is true to size, love the teal color, and it may seem bulky it actually isn't. It is lightweight compared to how it looks. I live where it can get cold within the hour and it is perfect. Although a hood would be nice to have on the woman's jacket also like the men's.

Coat is not as warm as expected
Two comments about the jacket worth considering when purchasing: As indicated in a review below, we did not find the jacket as warm as Lands End advertises. It is fairly thin and although thickness is not a true measure of warmth, our experience is that the jacket would require significant clothing underneath to keep someone warm on a cold day. We are very much a Lands End family but were disappointed with the product.
The second point is small but the color red pictured online is not the same color red on the product itself. We did find the actual red to be fine and attractive; just be aware that it may differ slightly from what you see on your computer. Lands End also rightfully pointed out, in discussion, that computer monitors vary.

not very warm for down while looking bulky
This coat looks a lot bulkier than I hoped, but at the same time is not all that warm, especially for down. (The fit itself is fine- just looks bulky) It's rated as -25 below, but today I took a fairly long hike in snow with temperatures just under 30 degrees, wearing a sweater and t-shirt underneath, and got cold. It was still snowing lightly, and the coat got very wet which didn't help. The sleeves gap terribly at the cuff, as other people have mentioned, letting more cold air in. I will say that the blue is a gorgeous color, at least. However, not worth freezing. I actually bought it last winter and was a little disappointed about the bulky look and it didn't seem as warm as it should then, but this is the first time it's gotten a real test.

This down jacket is true to size and light in weight so it is not heavy on your shoulders or to carry. It is warm but not too warm where you get hot inside stores. It has nice deep side pockets with snaps which is important because I'm always loosing my gloves. It also has a nice large inside pocket.

Good quality & lightweight
It hasn't gotten cold enough yet to test how warm this jacket is, but I am pleased with the quality & am hopeful it will keep me warm while doing recess duty this winter.

Beautiful Color - A Tad Disappointed in Quality
I'm a long long time buyer of Lands End stuff... In fact I rarely buy jackets anyplace else. I LOVE the color, and the fit is OK although the neck gapes a little. And like others have mentioned, the overall quality of the jacket seems to have diminished. The outer fabric is OK but a little plastic-y feeling, and the inner lining is just slick. Also, I REALLY MISS the soft inner cuffs that were on previous jackets. They really kept heat in. I haven't worn it yet because it's not that cold in NYC, and I look forward to blinding everyone with the green, but I do wish the fabric was as nice as previous years.

Nice Fit & Color, but Not Like Last Years' 600-Fill Down
I ordered one of Lands' End's 600-fill down jackets last year and it appears to be much warmer. This jacket has far less down and seems very lightweight by comparison (but haven't had it long enough to test it during the cold winter). I do love the fit of a Tall & the color selection (ordered it in the red and it is gorgeous). I also ordered one size up to accommodate bulky sweaters underneath.

Not What I Expected... At All
The fit is quite small. I recomend getting one size larger. The coat itself was not warm at all. Midwest winters are very very cold. It did not withstand the chill. I did not realize after ordering that it did not have a hood. Hoods are very useful when it can get to -40 degrees durring the day. If you are looking for a spring coat, this is right up your alley. But if you are looking for a warm winter coat, DO NOT GET THIS WHAT SO EVER.
