Women's Coastal Rain Parka
I absolutely love this rain parka! Comfortable, good fit, keeps me dry even in significant rain storms, and all at a very reasonable price!

Love color but don't like fit
I loved the color of the royal purple parka I received. The fabric has a nice, smooth finish. The polka dot lining is really nice. Sleeves a tiny bit long but OK. Hood fits fine. Like inside draw cord. However, parka is too tight through chest area as well as my hips. I wouldn't be comfortable if I buttoned the bottom button. I ordered a size 6-8, which would usually fit fine. I would definitely prefer a 2-way zipper instead of buttons. Unfortunately, I plan on returning the coat.

I ordered the same size that I have the Squall parka in, and this one was a little small in the chest and upper arms - and it was super long in the sleeves. I liked that it is waterproof! I was going to Scotland and wanted a waterproof raincoat, not water resistant! I wish it had a heavy duty zipper instead of buttons. I really want the squall parka without any insulation - that would be a perfect raincoat!

Doesn't fit correctly
I bought this coat for a trip to London, but was disappointed when I received. This jacket is not made with what I expect from Lands End. Didn't fit correctly in the shoulders and not a flattering look over all. I normally wear a size 6 and ordered the small 6-8. I don't think ordering a larger size would have helped due to the overall look of the coat. It is going back.

sleeves way too long
I like the jacket except the sleeves practicially covered my fingertips. I am 5'6" with long arms so these sleeves definitely out of proportion. I returned the jacket.
I have noticed this problem of overly long sleeves on several items, e.g. polo shirts, that used to fit me perfectly. I would hope that the designers would rethink this design flaw.

Love this Raincoat!
The coat fits perfectly. I bought one size up to allow for clothing underneath. The sleeve length is long enough too. I love the lime green color, so much fun!

Good rain jacket. Fits yet other jackets I have bought from Lands End have a roomer fit. I want and need a rain jacket with a hood!
The fit is tighter than I like. Great for work and everyday errands!

This coat looks nice but hood it too big.
This coat fits nicely but when I put the hood up it was too big and hung down into my face where I could not see.

I love the color!
I really needed a rain coat with a hood so I was glad to find this one at a reasonable price. I only wish there was a little more room (wider). I don't need a bigger size just a roomier cut when I need to wear a sweater or sweatshirt. I will be wearing this on my upcoming trip to Portland, Oregon.

Nice but not what I expected
I bought this jacket because I needed a rain jacket that wasn't overly warm to wear to work. I tried another jacket but found it tight even though it was my normal size (plus 1X) in tops and jackets from LE. They no longer had it in a 2x when I went to exchange it so I ordered this jacket instead in a 2x. First of all, I like it more than I really thought I would since it was my second choice. The out fabric is nice- matte and soft, not like the picture which made me think it would be the shinier, nylon type of rain jacket material, and yet it repels water great. The drops bead up and roll off and the inside of the fabric is coated for more water resistance. Also, the look of it is not as frumpy as the picture made it look. With the drawcords left let out, it doesn't have that cinched look and yet its still pretty flattering. Secondly, and the reason I didn't give it five stars is the fit. I liked it enough to keep it, but the fit could be better. It is large enough that I can overlap the fronts despite my large chest and belly, and yet the shoulders fit perfectly (meaning my usual size would be too tight in the shoulders). The arms are also a little short, also odd considering I sized up and don't have long arms. Lastly, there are a couple of details that keep me from loving the jacket, even though it works well enough. One is that the hood, while great when it's raining, is bulky and causes the collar of the jacket to always stand. It would be nice if it rolled/folded up under the collar. And the other is that I don't care for the buttons. Zipper would be much nicer or even the kind of snaps this jacket has in the pockets. The buttons are just too fiddly when I am walking to the door. But overall, I like this jacket and I am keeping it. I couldn't find anything similar for less than $100.
