Women's Cap Sleeve Performance Soft Shell
Nice color, but short, boxy fit
I ordered this in "sweet bordeaux" in both a small and a medium. The color is a beautiful maroon, and the sweater looks to be of good quality. The fit, however, is short (high hip) and boxy, giving the sweater a frumpy look. Neither the small nor the medium fit properly---way too short and nothing like the shape/fit in the website photos. (At 5'7" and 140 pounds, I usually wear a small in Lands End shirts, which tend to run on the large side.)

Just finally got to wear this sweater and is very comfortable. Not tight and neckline is not plunging. For short sleeved, I did feel cold (but not with extra sweater w/ jacket). I personally believe by wearing this black sweater you should wear it some other contrasting colors, otherwise it made me look a little blah.

the color is beautiful and it is soft. However, it does run BIG.

Very serviceable for travel
This sweater was a bit less fitted than I would have preferred, giving a slightly dowdy appearance (as I am rather small-busted). On a curvier figure it would have been perfect. But with its long-sleeve mate, it was the perfect travel set -- very comfortable, pretty color, convertible to match the temperature. Both were long enough that I did not have to worry about a waist gap as I wrestled with my luggage. Since I got a good discount on the price, the set was excellent value; maybe not so much at full price.

Makes a nice twin set with the matching cardigan
I've purchased five of the cardigans (see review) and four of these shells. As a twin set or alone, they can be dressed up or down. I really like the style, especially the length, and the weight. As mentioned in the review of the cardigan, I haven't experienced the pilling that some people have mentioned despite repeated wearings and washings. The bottom of the shell does tend to stretch out after wearing for a full day, but it keeps it shape for several hours before starting to stretch and goes back to normal shape after being washed. The stretching is the only reason I'm not giving this five stars.

Color totally different than on website
I ordered this in the shell heather and the color is not like the website. On the website it looks more like a rose with a more gray mixed into it. The sweater I got is a bright pastel pink with white heather mixed in. The style is nice but I wanted the color shown on the website. The bright pink doesn't look right on me so I'll be sending it back.

Soft but stretches out at bottom
I ordered the ivory and grey colors in this sweater - they both looked great at the start of the day, but the bottoms were so stretched out by the end of the day that I had to have the sweaters taken in. After having that done, they were fine, but I should not have had to do the alterations.

More colors, please!
This sweater is soft, comfortable - and I love the longer length. Lands' End, please make more longer sweaters - NOT tunics - in a wider variety of colors! I don't want to wear a tunic to work and this sweater is perfect with jackets. I have this sweater in the shell pink, cobalt blue and gray. Would love it in red, ivory and black as well. Very versatile.

Two colors same size, two different fits
Ordered this sweater in a blue and a heather. The blue fits nice, but the heather is bigger and will be returned.

Great fit, flattering cut
This top fits really well and looks good when paired with jeans and other casual pants. It has a 'relaxed' cut which is flattering. The length is a little longer than most tops in this fabric, so that it comes to hip level, without being a tunic. The fabric washes well. It is somewhat warm, so probably not the 'go to' top on a very warm day, but for other days when a short sleeve top is needed, this is the one. I would like to buy more colours, but the ones on offer are too wishy washy for me. I am hoping that Lands End comes up with more and brighter colours in this style.
