Women's Burnout Poncho Cover-up
Not Flashy at all
After reading some reviews, I got flashbacks of the 1980's gold Lamme. I am glad I tried this cover-up because it is really lovely and not gawdy at all. Fits true to size, and can either be worn as a cover up or with a tank underneath and a pair of capris.

I could get past the odd shape of the sides but this is a bit shiny and really not practical for a swim cover. The real issue is the wide silver band that goes around the sides and bottom. It is a a satin like fabric that stays wet and looks wet . It is also very wrinkle prone so not suitable at all for travel. My other transparent sheer coverups can be rolled up into a ball and never wrinkle. Too bad.

Original piece; good at sale price
I hesitated a lot before buying this top, but I do not regret doing it (at the sale price and with an additional discount, though; at the regular price, it would have been too expensive for what it is, imo). It does look elegant as a bathing suit cover, and that is why it can be used on top of pants and tanks for cocktails and the like.
The matte shade is sort of a metal gray-blue, and the shiny one is silvery. It can be paired with black, gray, navy blue, even white. The cut is indeed a bit weird at the sides, and it needs careful ironing to look its best; it will not look good coming out of a suitcase and thus it might not be a travel-friendly garment.
Not meant for someone who dislikes shine or unusual styles, I believe.

Weird sides. Hope to wear it over a tank with pants for evening wear.

A lovely classic
I bought this with the idea of wearing it on a few warm-climate trips I have planned. It is just so versatile, and I can imagine wearing it over swimsuits and as a semi-dressy cover blouse to cruise dinners and the like. It's such a classic that would serve women well in many stages of their lives: maternity, a-few-extra-pounds, and (like me) aging skin. I am going to show it to my grown daughter and tell her that I hope when I'm gone she will find use for it and wear it and think about me thinking about her in some far-flung place once upon a time.

Love it's flowy feel and dresses up my pool style!

This is a gorgeous, glamorous item. Looks more expensive than it is, especially when it is on sale! The soft drape hides a multitude of sins. It would look lovely over a plain colored swimsuit or bikini. However, I am wearing mine over a black camisole or tank with palazzo pants or capris for evening drinks and get togethers. Dress up or down with jewelry and sandals. Cheers!

I really did not like this cover-up and returned it right away. I looked cheap to me with it's shiny pattern. Not at all what I thought it would look like. I'm not into gold and silver on my bathing suits or cover-ups and this was king of glitzy. If you like the glitz and shine then you may really like this.

This cover-up is absolutely beautiful in person.
This cover-up is even more beautiful in person than I had imagined. I ordered it on a whim to wear in Hawaii based on the other reviews; and I was not disappointed. The fabric is unbelievably beautiful and the fit is lovely. It looks very elegant and I would definitely order it again.

I agree with another reviewer that this looks so much nicer in person. Looks like it cost much more than LE has it priced at. Very elegant. It is sheer in the midsection, with much more coverage at the top and bottom. This gorgeous coverup does not coordinate well with any of my suits. (Losing weight and had to get new ones.) But I can image how lovely it would look with a plain black bikini underneath. So sexy, but classy at the same time. Ditto for a plain black/grey one piece bathing suit. I cannot see any of the crazy colors or patterns LE is offering this year working well with this. Also, I want to point out that the way this coverup falls on the models is not nearly as flattering as in real life. (And I'm much, much bigger than the models right now.) I seriously thinking of getting this in a smaller size and hoping next year I'll be able to get the right suit to go under. It is that nice. (Note to those over 19: not to be vulgar, but one could wear just this, sans suit, walking around the house in front of one's partner and find yourself ravished in no time. I know that is not its intended use, but I couldn't help but think of that when I was trying it on.)
