Women's Boiled Wool Walker Coat
Really yucky fabric
The coat fit well. It was fairly light, not sure how warm it would be. But the fabric is really gross and yucky. It feels awful, like it's some sort of cheap recycled fabric.

Classy and warm
I was thrilled with the coat as soon as I opened the box, but it was way too snug based on the size chart. I am 5'11" tall and usually wear a sz.14 Tall. This coat runs narrow through the bust and hips. The sleeves were long enough, but tight at the shoulder and across the shoulder. I returned it to my local Sears store with no problem at all and ordered the sz. 16 Tall. It came a week later and I could not be happier! Fits perfectly. The lining is not the highest quality fabric, but this coat is a bargain if you can get it at the sale price. The Aged Wine is absolutely gorgeous! It is a plum color, more purple than red. Very classy and goes well with pink, blue, navy, red sweaters or scarves

I needed a dressier coat instead of the usual puffy downs and liked the cut and style of this boiled wool coat. The reviews suggested that it fit snugly in the arms and shoulders so I took a gamble and order a 14 petite instead of my usual 12...and the result is a perfectly sized, gorgeous berry colored addition to my winter wardrobe. I can wear it over bulky sweaters without a problem...I hate tight coats that make you feel all bound up! The boiled wool has a very nice hand and the bright berry color is a real pick me up for the dark winter days. The sale price and the free shipping made this coat a terrific deal.

This coat is gorgeous, very flattering (slimming), and versatile, since it would look great with jeans or a dress. Excellent quality, good lining. Very pleased with it! It's a mid-weight coat, good for moderate cold, but not extreme cold.

Was really looking forward to receiving this coat. Upon opening package, coat looks like it is 100 years old the fabric is faded looking, ordered the wine color. Arms & hips are to tight! Lands End this seems to be an ongoing issue with your tops and coats, please tell your manufacturers we are not stick figures.

Heartbroken this doesn't fit in the shoulders
This is my 3rd try on Lands End coats this winter. I'm very narrow in the shoulders, even ordered a size larger than normal and every coat has been too tight in the shoulders and sleeves. I'm 5'7'', 140# and have always worn a size 8. I'm a long time Lands End customer, have several coats, both wool and down and was hoping to update my wardrobe with either a purple or pumpkin color. I don't know what you've done with your sizing lately, but even the shirts and cardigans seem to be made smaller in the sleeves. The waist and sleeve length are fine, it's just the shoulders and sleeve diameter are smaller. Some of my Lands End coats are nearly 10 years old and still look and fit well, with none of this tightness. Please bring back your previous sizing. I'm sorry, but once again I will be returning this coat.

Basic, totally wearable coat with some annoying flaws
I love the cut of this coat and the fact that it's so simply designed that it will stay in style forever. I'm also happy with the weight of it. It's surprisingly warm but the wool isn't heavy.
However, I'm annoyed by some basic design flaws. The button holes are too big for the buttons and they're always just falling open. Also, I wouldn't be the first to comment on the sleeves being too tight for the overall fit of the coat everywhere else.
One other thing, I ordered the midnight sky only to have it arrive looking quite purple. I had to exchange it for black, which was disappointing since I really wanted a deep blue, but not navy coat.
I think if these design issues get fixed this would be a five-sailboat winner.

Perfect Weight coat for everyday and travel
I have been looking for a 3/4 length coat that has clean lines and a classic appeal but without being too frumpy or masculine. I saw this coat on line and called the local Sears store and they had it in stock. I went today and tried it on ... and bought it on the spot. I love this coat. Just what I was looking for. It can easily been used on a daily basis to run errands in jeans or to wear to work.
I am planning on traveling in Europe for winter break and wanted a stylish coat that I would wear and this is it. I also like the overall weight of the coat. I am sure I will be carrying the coat a lot during my travels and I am glad that this coat is not too heavy. Thank you Lands End. This is just what I was looking to purchase. The price is great too.
I chose the Aged Wine which looks just like the photo online.

A nice coat
I just bought this coat online and from reading the reviews I bought a size up thinking that it would be too tight in the sleeves. But the coat turned out to be too big. It runs true to size. If you normally wear a size 10 that's what you should get. I returned mine to the sears store and since they don't carry the petites I bought the pea coat in the raspberry color which is really bright pink. I bought it in a smaller size It fits really nice. The only problem is that it is a little rough boiled wool ,not a soft smooth one. The sleeves are the right length and the jacket proportioned to fit petite frames. Overall a really nice little everyday coat.
