A pair of real leather boots that fit a WIDE foot. You have no idea how long I have been looking, and now that this one was on sale, I ordered them. So Happy ! The zipper really helps too, and the shaft is not that wide...I have normal calves, and the boots look just fine. Thank you LandsEnd.

Rated 4 out of 5 by kLea incredible quality, so beautiful
These boots are absolutely beautiful. The only boots I have ever owned with comparable quality are Frye boots, which cost me a fortune. One thing I didn't catch before ordering these is that the wide means both a wide foot (D) and a wide calf, which is actually great for me, as I have both. However, the shaft of these boots did end up being much too wide for my athletic calves. I had thought this may be the case, and therefore ordered the wide tall blakely riding boots as well, which fit my calves much better. I will also note that the foot size of these shoes run large, I am generally either a 6 1/2 or a 7 in shoes, and the 7 in these were much too big. Sadly, these ones will be going back, but trust me, if you are considering getting these boots GIVE THEM A TRY. They are so so incredibly nice.

These boots are beautiful, and I am keeping them. But the metal studs holding the ankle strap fell off one boot after the second wearing. I had to Super-Glue them back on. That part was poor quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PegeenH Nice but big around ankles
Just got these, and the foot fits well with my orthotic insoles. The ankles and shins are at least two inches too big on me (calves are fine) but my 20 yr old daughter tells me they are fashionably scrunched that way. Also it looks like the strap can be tightened. Good value for a leather boot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by oldladyswimmer beautiful comfortable boot
I have these in black, brown, and hazelnut, which shows you how much I like them. I have wide feet and wide calves and the wide fit me perfectly. I am a true ten but usually have to buy an 11 in winter boots to wear wool socks with them, but not these- the tens fit me perfectly. My one problem with them is the leather soles just let the cold right through. At first I wore them with an alpaca liner which helped but made it a bit tight in there. Finally I paid to have Vibram soles put on each pair by a shoemaker. Now I can wear them all winter long. It was worth it to me because so few boots will zip right up on my calves and these will. My calves are 17 1/4 and 171/2 " in case you have wide calves and wonder if these will fit. I have had mine two winters now and they still look good. They compare well, for instance, with my Wolky boots. If you get these at the sale price they are as I write they are a great bargain and worth the added cost of adding rubber soles. If you don't live in a cold place you may be fine with them just as they are.

I wish they came in black, I'd buy another pair in that color. Fantastic to find a boot that fits my ample calves so well!

Rated 3 out of 5 by SDtraveler Nice boots, but ...
I ordered these boots for my wide calves, however, I have narrow feet. These are a beautiful quality boot, very well made, perfect height. However, they were too loose in the footbed area (could be resolved with adding insoles for arch support) and about an inch short of being able to zip all the way up. Fit great in the ankles and lower calves - many wide calf boots are sloppy in these areas. I may have been able to get them stretched at a shoe repair shop, but the light tan color of the sole and heel against the dark brown leather of the boot (Spice) was distracting and strange enough to keep me from wanting to invest more time and money into them.
